Our youngest daughter is a Wanderlust. She teaches English as a Second Language and is a Librarian too. She visited Vietnam for two weeks a few years ago - loved it. So far, she has lived in England, South Korea, China, and now Mexico. Her attitude is as positive as yours. We have this planet we share, let’s be good to each other.

Sorry, but when I see that orange color, I think of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys, not the Tennessee Volunteers. It's kind of like saying, "OSU." I think of Oklahoma State University, not Ohio State Universities (what the heck is a Buckeye anyway?).

Thank you for highlighting our Volunteers. I am a lifelong fan. I am also an alumni of Samford Univ. in Birmingham. If I recall, your wife is a Bulldog alumni too. We were probably there about the same time. It was tough being a Vol fan in B'ham for 3 years. There were a few of us and we stuck together. Anyway, I love this video. It makes me want to attend a game in Tuscaloosa, and wear a Crimson shirt and enjoy the culture that is "Roll Tide". Maybe my wife and I will do that one day. You got a great recommendation on a great place to eat! Wish I could have told you to get a "Steak in a sack with fries"! Went to UT and was a Kappa Sigma and out fraternity house is just 30 yards from Gus's and we ate there many times. Every time I travel through Knoxville from Nashville that is where I eat if possible for lunch. I just ate there last Tuesday on my way to North Carolina mountains.

First things first, where did you camp? I live in Knoxville and I'm going to admit, we have terrible campgrounds in Knox county so you had to be somewhere else. Second, you're a better man than me. As a lifelong UT fan, I would choose death before I ever wore a Bama shirt. But that also applies to UGA, UF and Vandy. Third, General Neyland was also an engineer and he designed the stadium that has his name. It was a lot smaller when he designed it, but he designed it to be expanded.
I must admit you're a better man than I am. I'm a lifelong Tennessee fan and fully agree with you about the rivalry between the Volunteers and your team, but I would never, under any circumstances, wear an alabama shirt or any piece of clothing. That being said, I do have the ability to separate my love of all things UT and real life. I have good friends who also root for your team, UF, UGA, and other such scoundrels! But I am Big Orange only! Your tying the theme into Vietnam and within our nation these days was great and we need to be able to have our differences without having hate or ill-will toward each other. I also must say that your telling of many of UT's traditions are spot on, and as a former member of the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland marching band many moons ago, I loved playing Rocky Top and proudly sing it now. When I get to a game in Neyland Stadium, which is about once a year now, I still get emotional during the band's pregame show that is iconic. There's a bond with other Vol fans, the band, and the football team that is unexplainable. Thanks for such a great video ... especially one from a red elephant fan! #GBO #VFL
