A fabulous hitter. He has every shot down pat. However no one can see from his ability to hit a ball how he would do against an opponent who can hit it back with pace and make him run to get it.
Thats where the experience come into play . With his ability , as time goes , he will be able to do . He looks like a consistent player , he did what he was supposed to , sign of a very good player to be . this is very important .
@@SirChameleon I think the other guy is trying; likely just a different level player important thing is to get it over the netand in the court, he's doing that.
@@dmmusicmusic It seems like it doesn't it? However, he is not. Here are a few things to look for while considering player A at the top and player B at the bottom. Player A's form and ball control is smoother. Player A is setting up player B pretty much every time by hitting all the shots towards the middle. And one more just because, player A never goes for an offensive shot. You may say "player A is a pusher..." Unlikely - he's too smooth to have such poor decision making. :)
What no one mentions is that the guy who is hitting the ball to him he had short every time like around the service line it’s easy to hit those balls if the ball is coming in deep like within 2 feet of the baseline that’s a different story
He’s not playing against a real opponent, he’s playing against an opponent who is setting up good shots so he can look good. I’m not saying he bad, I’m just saying that it is difficult to actually understand his skill level if he’s playing in this sort of scenario
@@crazybear2478 In my neck of the woods, he would be more like a 3.5. Had some Swiss guy called Feder-something or other show up the other day looking for a hit and he had his butt handed to him :P
I like his killer instinct. On most of these recruiting videos, the players are showing off consistency, beautiful strokes, whatever. I played DII what seems like a lifetime ago, but if you watch the current Stanford/UCLA matches, the best college players have big games. They don't need to be able to hit 20 balls every point--they just need a weapon, and some athleticism to hit some off-script shots. This kid is hitting out, going for winners, and imposing his will. Impressive!
not 4.5but entirely possible a good 5.0 or 5.5 could wreck him in a match, mental toughness, composure under pressure, and point construction are huge factors.
No such thing as "too good" for college. where do you people come from? probably play 3.5 in local league and think you know something, "hitting" inside with a solid but slight;ly weaker player who consistently replies with a short shot(short being near service line), nothing truly special in the video, solid foundation, but only time will reveal the quality of the "metal."
finally an insane dude
Yuriy Panteleev he beat number 220 atp i kid u not
this kid lost 1st round aussie open junior qualies then he recently beat n260 ATP in futures...crazy how close level is
This guy just won the mens doubles NCAA championship for Tennessee congratz!!
He sure did! Thanks
I often visit this video just to watch how solid his technique is!

Thanks for everyone’s support. Pat has signed his NLI with the University of Tennessee to play for the Volunteers starting this Fall.
Great strokes! Good luck, Pat.
Yay vols!
Not surprised. He has SEC talent. Good for him!
That seems redundant, playing tennis for Tennessee
@@john-boy4283 tennys sandgren played tennis for tennessee university
This guy could play at any college in the US.
I'd like to see the other guy try lol
"any college" is a big measurement; there's a big difference between maintaining a groove during a drill and playing a match.

He plays for Tennessee, which is one of the higher level tennis schools in the US. Point proven
The acoustics are real nice
If some college does not sign Pat Harper they need to re examine their recruiting tactics. The dude is insane.
Eric Handley He signed with Tennessee
This guy would have no problem playing for any D1 school in the US - he should almost just go pro lol what a boss.

That echo is satisfying
Very talented!
Amazing player already playing futures...but I'm waiting for some idiot to start saying he would only be 4.5 in SoCal or something silly like that
He would be a 4.5 in SoCal
Had to do it :)

Forehand looks like a less abbreviated version of Tomic's forehand.
Great hitting. Great noise!
Wow this dude's crazy good😱😱
does he use a eastern forehand grip?
Awesome
this is utterly a tennis porn the sounds are fantastic dude!!
Very talented young man.
Wow he’s gd
A bit of Monfils in that forehand ^^
Good luck, Tennessee, yihhaa. You got a solid Aussie to pat the cash. lol
Klasse gespielt ;-)
Sign him up ASAP
Wow! Monster!
He should just attempt going pro
He actually is. He's won a few matches a futures tournaments
uranfaggit same with Isner and Kevin Anderson. The notion that you can't go pro after playing in college is outdated
wow! he is ready!
Update: I saw a video of him playing in college. They have totally ruined his forehand technique.
thats sad bro
Impressive game, why is it a lot of good players from Australia are named Pat (Cash and Rafter and this dude)?
He can play D1
He probably wants an education, but he’s probably too good for college tennis.

@@dmmusicmusic Man that was the best caption and explanation ive ever heard
Just looked up his UTR. It is a 13. WOW I am a 4.5 with an 8 UTR. Good lord. I guess I have to pick up golf now.
In my city we hold an open tournament, and there was a 15.5 UTR that won it a few years ago. WHAT ARE ALL THESE KIDS EATING
lesclaypaul 15.5??? That’s like top 100 Atp..... what’s his name?
@@lesclaypaul i think they just start snorting protein powder at a certain point
Yeah, I would not go into baseline war with the guy. I would play dropshot at every point lol.
who else thinks this kid looks and plays like like alex de minaur
Andy Murray
Should turn pro
This guy at best, is a 4.5 in so cal.
Closet Grasshopper he’s winning futures tournaments so
4.5, are you kidding? Maybe a bunch of sandbagging 5.5's playing down so they can win a trophy
You smoking some crazy shit dude
Guy is awesome hitter but coaches want to see live match play in tournaments....not hitting around. Good luck...
Mini Surf check his results then, they speak for themselves
Djokovic trembles
He’s so skinny how does he hit that hard
you need to be super strong in your arms to generate power in your swing.
He should go pro and skip college.
Tennis prostitution hahaha
Meh.
