They clearly had ideas for a sequel. Web of Shadows had potential when it came to the gameplay and the overall unique take on the character/universe. I'm still VERY thankful that Beenox eventually decided to reuse these ideas for Spider-Man Shattered Dimension which ended up being an amazing game !
Man a comic accurate Spiderman game, where you play stories directly from the comics, with the insanely creative gameplay by web of shadows team would have been insanely good
I don’t think this would have been much of a Web of Shadows sequel. I think it would have just been another game using the same engine and similar character designs. It’s not like a continuation of the story we got in the first game. I don’t really think it needs one. If you ask me, it gets wrapped up in a nice little bow by the end. Now, if you said they’d make a Wolverine game based on the bad ending- Hell yeah I’d play.
how about you make the 2nd game start out like a Telltale game or a Witcher game that carries your save or you can just start a whole new story or make up the story in which you'll get a different playthrough based on how you played WoS and the choices/endings you've made... how about make WoS' sequel as a PTSD game where everyone is a wreck like inFAMOUS 1 to serve as the basis of its story/environment for the beginning part of the game in New York
Well, here we got Dark Souls franchise in which each game you have an ending that doesn't need a continuation and yet we got 3 of them. ^^ Yeah man. Playing as a Wolverine in this game with these mechanics would be on fire! It would be way better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine!!!

What I would have done is make Web of Shadows 2 a wolverine game with Spiderman as the main antagonist. The symbiote switch mechanic can absolutely stay as Wolverine now has the symbiote gifted back to him by SHIELD. Id make it open world still and for traversal wolverines symbiote lets him leap far distances. For villains I'd bring in spiderman AND wolverine rogues like Sabretooth and Deathstrike for wolverine villains. And Mysterio and Scorpion for Spiderman villains
Do more research Web of shadows was radical entertainment and they where making Web of shadows 2 where you would play as venom but they couldn't keep the rights so the made the game Prototype where you play as Alex mercer instead of venom this guy mentioning shadered dimensions wasn't even close
2:49 - don't shit yourself critics are generally fucked up. As a player I find this is a hidden gem that I like to return to from time to time. Even to the new spider man I don't return as much as to this classic.
Warp's listing is out of order, but technically it is the 8th. Not shown, but Friend or Foe was on the main consoles, and I don't consider 'Battle for New York' a major title since it was on the DS.
