Fantastic review Sir, irrespective of the issues I've seen and heard relating to this PG, once this is posed in FBM all of the problems are forgotten, this is a beautiful PG when displayed fully. Loved your painti work on the model itself, and the editing and presentation of this video is truly exceptional.
Wizartar.... bes review EVER, you spoke every aspect of the kit in a resumed form, and therefore helped me to decide if i'd get this big boy... i'm gonna get his MG and that's it, Thank you very much. Now that i look into it, This PG looks like an oversized MG.
i have built a total of 5 kits that requres glue they needed paint also but they was fun to build and look at when finished. you can get cheap model cars for about $20 to practice gluing parts together and painting. move up to something more complicated when you feel comfy gluing and paintinng
@1NINJAD This model costs about $300 Canadian. I got mine in Hong Kong.If you want to know, it cost $2349 HKD. In case you are wondering about shipping, I wouldn't know because I had relatives coming back from Hong Kong, so they brought it back.
@ndalum75 Try lookin into the PG's that came out before the Red Frame. Most of them still have top notch posability, are cheaper, and have opening panels in their armor so you don't have to buy clear parts.
@GoldenRicecooker a Canon VIXIA HF100 on a Konig KN-TRIPOD100. Also using a Marshall MXL USB .008 Condenser Mic Voice overs and a Canon DM-100 Shotgun Mic for the Camcorder.
@ndalum75 A PG Unicorn would be massive, but unless Bandai perfects the transforming they'll have a major problem. I've been told that the PG Zeta has nothing but stability problems when in MS mode.
@Xephon0930 I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for a 1/144 HGUC Nightingale. Well who knows. Maybe they'll change their minds in the future. But think about it: A fully transformable PG Unicorn with LED's for the entire body would be painfully expensive. BTW Bandai said that they have a prototype MG Kshatriya but it requires metal rods to hold up the binders. So we probably won't be getting that in the near future either.
if i get this i will probably take the backpack and Dragoons off and put them somewhere(dont like balance issues and im not risking the tab holding it to the backpack snapping right off)
sir wizartar, at the articulation section of this review, you haven't show to us the articulation of its stomach and hip section but btw, great review though.. :)
@OriginalDeBest96 No real painting is required. But I didn't like the grey colour used, as explained in the vid, so repainted some parts. It was the same for the blue on the dragoons, wanted a darker shade.
@tc012009 Thanks, finally got a chance to hit Marks Models and got some of that Gun Metal & Gold, looking forward to trying it out... as soon as I finish Portal 2.
I'm gonna build this as soon as I finished the Gat-105X Strike Gundam [PG] I just finished, Gundam GP01-FB [PG], I'm planning on buying, Gundam Astray Red Frame, but it might took me a while.
@AlucardEmmanuel I have them, just got the Mark VI this morning, but my real life is crazy busy with building in my house for a while now... hope to review them before the end of the year.
this is a great review wizartar!!! lookin forward to building my own soon..just wonder when that will be?? yours looks really good bro! great job man! love it!
This is just my personal opinion but I don't have any rubs with putting in effort to make a gundam look great. Stuff like weathering armor, various shades of paint as well as providing those fine little touches and additions is what really brings out teh shine in a gundam so I don't mind putting in the extra effort to get a better end product.
i think this is the second or third time to watch your videos. your reviews are way better than mine. i dont know the names of the gundam shit. but i do know beam saber.
how much does this model cost. i only have one shop in my whole city that sells these kits, and i don't want to have to bus all the way there and find out i can't afford it. I'm in canada. please respond, thanks.
I can't help but agree. It looks awesome on the shelf when finished. But it's an utter pig along the way. The wings on mine are broken and repaired - in a way that lets them sit in place but they lost any ability to stay in an position other than rest. Which I don't really mind because I don't have space for the beast anyway. Strangely, I didn't mind the repetitiveness - I'm used to building Guardsmen and the like so could turn them out pretty quickly.
I think I have to agree with everything you said. The dragoons are a pain(mine broke, replacements now being shipped) and the build wasn't as fun as it should be. The inner frame is also disappointing, and doesn't have the detail of even the 00. While I'm still kinda glad I bought the kit, I think I might have been better off with another PG. Then again, it DOES look fantastic.
It's not really a disadvantage, just more skill is required. You have to glue and paint that's a must for resin. So if you do this already for plastic it's not much of a leap. But if you don't paint then you can't do resin. I don't have the time to do total paint jobs. I just paint the parts I don't like and then leave d other parts as they are. I've yet to find a resin kit worth the extra effort &cash as they generally cost more. The main different, resin requires a lot more effort to build
Would've liked to hear about whether or not you find it value for money (Or, as the case may be, how poor value it is), but otherwise nice stuff. I really enjoy how it's being sold at such discounted rates; looks like the Japanese who are supposed to be huge fans of the SF didn't bite in a big way either. Also, I echo calls for more reviews from you!
@brutepunk25 hmmmm I would highly suggest getting some Gold paint, the PG Strike Freedom's Gold Plates are mostly this horrible not-so-shiny gold. Some parts show even after you completely assemble it, so seeing how your already spending so much on the PG SF, I would suggest also getting some gold paint.
ppl complain about the gold because this is a PG, which has some pretty high standards. especially being to expensive. If you look at the PG from just the front, most of the bad gold is hidden, but it is heavily exposed in other areas, like in the waist Wizatar is a pretty good modeler, so I doubt he's sloppy. He's built a lot of other PGs, he can probably make more comparisons The point he was making with the wings was probably the the attachment points, which a lot of people have had snap.
Can we expect any macross reviews in the near future? Maybe a certain red valk? :) Anyways I think this kit is a waste of a PG, I also think they simplified it because most seed destiny fans in japan are just general anime fans and girls who aren't hard core Gundam fans and kit builders
Don't understand why people bitch so much about the gold on this kit. I just finished mine and you can barely notice the "bad gold" people complain so much about. I also don't agree with this review. This PG was one of the most fun to build. It is easy to pose with no real issues. Perhaps this guy was just sloppy during his assembly? I have had no issues with the dragoons either. These things are not meant to be played with like action figures you know.
I got this PG cause the Strike Freedom Is my favorite Gundam I have the MG Strike Freedom Full Burst & Freedom But I got to tell you Is by far the most challenging thing I have ever built for me that Is. The upper body was the hardest cause they can't keep still had to super glue some area. The worst part I lost some parts had to super glue the other pieces. But In the end I had fun. I got mine at Tatsu Hobby $253 Is the last one. I was about to buy In Amazon but the asshole raise It by $300.
this is the best review of a gundam model kit, I have seen in my life, and such a clear camera, nice job!
your reviews is so organized, and simply the best review I've ever watch
agreed
Fantastic review Sir, irrespective of the issues I've seen and heard relating to this PG, once this is posed in FBM all of the problems are forgotten, this is a beautiful PG when displayed fully.

Wish there were more reviews from this person, always did a great job.
Like your review mann...Short, clean and detailed ! Unlike those who did lots of talking without mentioning pros n cons accurately...Thumb up !!
Great to see you back Wizartar with a great review!!!!
Great to see you back, Mr. Irish man!
Great to have you back making vids! Great unit! Great review! Cheers!
short, sweet, an simple. You have earned a subscriber

about time we see a review from u sir good as always
Man, love ur gunpla reviews, pls make more!

@Zontar82 25,000 Yen, but some online shops have it on sale at 15,000.
are you gonna do more eva reviews? theres a new eva 3 that has the fourth arms and everything!
@Wizartar Are you going to get the Revoltech Evolution Series of the Evangelions?
Did you break your wing already? i read reviews where they broke the wings already.
that's a great figure. how much is it there in the U.K.? its sold on retail here but the price is insanely expensive, equivalent to about US$450.00.
@GoldenRicecooker a Canon VIXIA HF100 on a Konig KN-TRIPOD100. Also using a Marshall MXL USB .008 Condenser Mic Voice overs and a Canon DM-100 Shotgun Mic for the Camcorder.
thank you for the info. but I have to ask witch is your fave PG?
@ndalum75 A PG Unicorn would be massive, but unless Bandai perfects the transforming they'll have a major problem. I've been told that the PG Zeta has nothing but stability problems when in MS mode.
@Xephon0930 I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for a 1/144 HGUC Nightingale. Well who knows. Maybe they'll change their minds in the future. @Xephon0930 A PG Unicorn sadly won't be happening as Bandai has said they don't wanna risk it.
@ndalum75 Interesting. Maybe it's the quality of the kits?
What are the disadvantages of the resin kits?
@Wizartar That's a tough one. The RX-78 is my favorite Gundam of all time, but then again I can't say no to the Mk.II's sexy Titans color scheme.
if i get this i will probably take the backpack and Dragoons off and put them somewhere(dont like balance issues and im not risking the tab holding it to the backpack snapping right off)
sir wizartar, at the articulation section of this review, you haven't show to us the articulation of its stomach and hip section but btw, great review though.. :)
When will you back for more review
I asume you would be reviewing the Revoltech Evangelion Mark 06
Which would you recommend? The RX-78 or the Mk. II?
@OriginalDeBest96 No real painting is required. But I didn't like the grey colour used, as explained in the vid, so repainted some parts. It was the same for the blue on the dragoons, wanted a darker shade.

Like a rose man. beautiful to look at, painful to deal with.
+smoked buns well said
this is a great review wizartar!!! lookin forward to building my own soon..just wonder when that will be?? yours looks really good bro! great job man! love it!

I think Wizartar should come back and review that mgex strike freedom
how much does this model cost. i only have one shop in my whole city that sells these kits, and i don't want to have to bus all the way there and find out i can't afford it. I'm in canada. please respond, thanks.
@TheAnimeOverviewer Yeah, I think my Next PG will be Char's Zaku, unless Bandai announces a PG Unicorn.
what kind of camera did you use
hi would the strike freedom lightling edition a bit different from this version other than lighting up
hi people! I'm planning to buy my first perfect grade kit. I'm thinking strike freedom. what do you guys suggest? thanks
how long did it take you to do the paint job?
I can't help but agree. It looks awesome on the shelf when finished. But it's an utter pig along the way. do you have any of the 1/35 scale?
Nice to see your finished VF-25 :)
@NeoCCG Best sites are HLJ or Amiami there are others but have found those two the best.
@OriginalDeBest96 Local hobby shops, or somewhere like HLJ or HobbySearch
@TheAnimeOverviewer Both are really good, so I'd say go with the one you like most... for me that's the Mk-II
what did you use for matte finish?
can you do a review for the pg 00 raiser?
Nice review as always Wizartar. :D
Jazz lol! Nice to see you doing a new review.
You don't do reviews any more?
Very nice, i recently bought one from HLJ on sale, still not been sent out yet though :(
@StillC00lerThanU Very busy :( Plan to do more reviews, once real life isn't hectic...
@Zontar82 Or about 180 - 300 dollars, which isn't bad for a perfect grade Gundam model.
Currently drooling to get one...
@TheAnimeOverviewer I don't know. Then again, my only two sources are an MAHQ review and a badly translated review on dalong.net
does this model in particular have to be painted?
The backpack unit looks sick! I have the RG version of the Strike Freedom. Pretty nice detail, but not as awesome as PG (of course...).

@T33RO I wouldn't call him a hater, I mean, he did buy it. He's just saying that it wasn't very practical compared to a lot of other kits.
The Million Dollar Question.....will Wizatar give the collectors another review in 2020?!
A great watch! I was tempted to grab this pg but after your honest opinion- methinks MG would be wiser.
good review. agreed with your statement on the dragoon system being a chore to build (every parts times 8, really????)
@TheAnimeOverviewer Really, I'd heard nothing but good things about the PG Zeta.
It has been a while since you uploaded a video, I hope everything is alright
@brutepunk25 hmmmm I would highly suggest getting some Gold paint, the PG Strike Freedom's Gold Plates are mostly this horrible not-so-shiny gold. Some parts show even after you completely assemble it, so seeing how your already spending so much on the PG SF, I would suggest also getting some gold paint.
An excellent review, and a nice build :)
hey bro have those assemble borgs any more if you do not want them all take 1
Excellent review.
@Xephon0930 No, they're meant to come off

Anyways I think this kit is a waste of a PG, I also think they simplified it because most seed destiny fans in japan are just general anime fans and girls who aren't hard core Gundam fans and kit builders
the lightning edition is not a PG.. so it will less detail compared to this one.
GREAT REVIEW!!!!
I wish Bandai would make the EFFECT parts for the DRAGOON....then it will be NICE...
@bryanz09 Thanks, very true should have included for completeness, but IMO it's pointless.
Very NIce Review Man :D

MrBarlion do agree with u there models not figures to play with
Good lord 10 years ago
Amazing review. :D
I'm alive and well, just busy IRL with job and RL stuff.
0:05 K A T O K I H A J I M E
need the bootleg version of this :p the bandai price isn't really worthed
I would say that biggest flaw of this model kit is that its so back heavy to the extreme.
kakito? really now?
+khoirus sobri It supposed to be Katoki
Finally !
I have the PG SFreedom... but still unbuilt...in its box.... maybe i'll hire a professional gundam builder to assemble it for me.....
THIS KIT IT AWSOME( NO RIVAL TOCOMPED IN THE SAME SCALE) THE ARTICULATED IT GOOD BUT, IN THE LONG TIME IT WILL LOOSE BY TIME.
I got this PG cause the Strike Freedom Is my favorite Gundam I have the MG Strike Freedom Full Burst & Freedom But I got to tell you Is by far the most challenging thing I have ever built for me that Is.
