- Iași is one of the largest cities and municipalities in Romania. Located in the Moldavia region, Iași has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Romanian social, cultural, academic and artistic life. The city was the capital of the Principality of Moldavia from 1564 to 1859, then of the United Principalities from 1859 to 1862, and the capital of Romania from 1916 to 1918.
Known as The Cultural Capital of Romania, Iași is a symbol in Romanian history. The historian Nicolae Iorga said "There should be no Romanian who does not know of it". Still referred to as The Moldavian Capital, Iași is the seat of Iași County and the main economic centre of the Moldavian region of Romania.

Doar atat am de zis, duceti-va si stati 2,3 ani de zile in Londra sau nu neaparat ma refer intr-o metropola, si o sa vedeti dupa aia cum o sa va iasa pe urechi de atata aglomeratie si agitatie si o sa vedeti cum o sa pretuiti astfel de orase si o sa ziceti " Doamne ce frumos si liniste era inainte in Iasi"

Targul Iesilor are ceva special care ma face sa-l revad ...
i was there is 2006 to visit ( reasons ill keep personnel ) but when i was there i felt like i was in a place of peace and calmness : i felt safe walking down the streets at 0300 : more then i can say i feel in my own country : my eyes was opened alot to see the difference between my country and there , something was the same but just the way people did and interacted with others : if i could do it i would come there and live ( not just saying that ) : very nice video
Funny, girl i know who lives there can't say enough about how much she hates the place. Thinks Romanians are "cultured morons" And wants to get out and move to the UK. As if it would be better there?

Beautiful city,i want to visit.
Dacă stai cum stau eu în tătarasi la etajul 4 fix lângă stația de tramvai și strada nu o sa mai fie asa de liniștit. De fiecare data când trece un tramvai mai vechi se cutremura blocul ma mir cum simt aia de la parter(parterul e luat de flux), tot ce e bun e ca am școala aproape, magazine, aeroportul, centrul, frizerii, parcuri, în rest lângă mine sunt 2 blocuri turn, la cutremur cad peste mine frate.
I love it so much ..I lived here one year .. hope back in one day to visit
