Exoskeletons existed because of the need (or flights of fantasy) for super-human strength... but the brains were human and the hardware merely provided mechanical advantage. This generation of robots will be dexterous and smart. We can make them at any size, any strength, and in any body form. The key advantage will be AUTONOMY.

You're right, exoskeletons are now obsolete. Even in super-sensitive cases where humans must be involved, inputs can simply be wirelessly hooked to a suit.

The only thing these Exoskeleton suits are missing is the Robotic innards!
Far better to have a Robot doing those jobs rather then having to pay a Human!
