What makes this the most impressive is Jisoo was feeling extremely sick here. Years later in a documentary she said she had back pain and it hurt to move; she was "the sickest she had ever been". We didn't know she was sick until after the performance. These girls' talent and work ethic is off the charts.
And Lisa's ankle was in pain too T_T

What makes this performance so significant is the owner of Coachella went all the way to South Korea to personally invite them to perform they were given the number 2 slot on the stage. They also did both weekends and I was there for the first one I also seen them live in London where I am from. They are mesmerizing but what people need to accept is South Korean artists do not do concerts like western artists. Their interaction with their fans is what makes them stand out.
They can all sing in multiple languages. TOKYO DOME is a mixed version and it is very good and is sang in Japanese.
These four girls are incredible. I have my tickets for their 2 night stint in London.
truth. I think some of the "hate" I read after Dallas and Houston was because people don't get that's a different style. You can't have straight all singing with that sort of choreography so enjoy the mix that they do do. So glad I shelled out extra after my presale registration failure to see them in Houston (flying out from San Diego) and I can't wait to fly to Newark next week for them again. I wish I could keep seeing them, over and over :)

Their Tokyo Dome live version is even better!! And remember that whenever they do live in Japan, they sing is Japanese and the raps are converted to "all-english” and completely new... You'll love that live version of D4 since it's a Remix

I just saw them in concert in Atlanta on Wednesday! It was incredible! The encore was the best part and the way they interacted with the fans! They played with a live band, too.

@@kokom8405 it is. There’s 3 levels. I was VIP 3 (the lowest). During soundcheck they rope off VIP 1 (Ultimate) from VIP 2/3 but you’re still close. Once the soundcheck is over and VIP 1’s get photo on stage, they bring them back to front of stage and remove rope to allow everyone to move it. Got roughly 5-7 rows back on corner.
Soundcheck lasted roughly 15-20 minutes, show lasted 1 hour and 45mins roughly

Hey guys, keep in mind that they had no idea how many people were out there to see them. Jennie said in the Netflix special "Light Up The Sky" that they were hoping for a couple hundred and when the saw the crowd of thousands all facing them to watch their show and sing along , in Korean, they were amazed. I believe that fired them up and the killed it.

Great reaction. I just had a front row seat to their concert in Houston and they were awesome. Now you need to react to their Tokyo Dome Remix performance of DDDD, Totally different (for example, different Lisa and Jennie all-English rap lyrics), and even better. Think free-styling/much greater interaction with the audience (55,000 capacity audience) vs. tight choreo that you saw in this performance.

🖤💖They had the biggest crowds, despite not being as popular as they are now. They were barely dipping their toes in the American market. Lisa went viral as “The ponytail girl”😆. Jisso was also terribly sick, & had an injured back. But she went out there & gave 1000% of herself. So proud of our girls🖤💖
You have to watch the Ddu Du Ddu Du Tokyo Dome Remix. It is totally different with the raps in English and the other lyrics in Japanese with the live rock band, wearing casual merch, interacting with the crowd and each other = the greatest performance live
Yass I saw them both days in Atlanta day 2 on the floor! It was so good I bought day 2 tickets the day of 😂 They were amazing and lived up to the hype. The live band was amazing. The girls interacted so much with the fans. Their mics were ON and the dancing amazing! I wish I could go one more day 💕
Blackpink songs sounds even better when LIVE. Because they also have the band. You should check their other live performances. Moreso, buy their concert tickets to see how amazing they are.

I just saw Blackpink live this past Sunday here in Canada and I gotta say they killed it. It was so surreal. They had a live band as well and the music just hit different. So good. If you can ever see them live do it!!! They did group songs and solo songs. Their stage presence is like no other. They really are talented!!!!
It's funny because I watched this reaction about 10 hours before the concert and decided to pull the trigger and get a ticket to the show. While it was an insane amount of money for a show, I don't regret it. Great performance and energy in Hamilton!

Went to their live show in Houston a couple weeks ago, and it was FABULOUS. Videos online don’t do it Justice. They’re charismatic, talented, and so passionate for what they do.

BlackPink did a great live performance Miguel cover, Sure Thing. Jennie and Lisa wrote and added a couple of rap verses. Shows off their vocals live. Amazing rendition of Sure Thing.
They're currently on tour. Haters are always on full alert whenever BlackPink is getting a lot of attention, whether that's coming out with a new release or performing on tour. In their concert, the backing track is sometimes put on louder because of the choreography. The girls never lip sync. They'll remove their mics away from their mouth and allow the track to take over during some of their more intense chorography. Haters will take captions of these moments and make a big deal of how they're lip synching throughout the concert, which of course is furthest from the truth. Haters cannot stand the attention that BlackPink receives, so they'll do whatever it takes to try to bring them down. Haters are usually from other fandom
Blackpink's concert band, Band Six, adds a rock flavor to their music and I dig it. As good as Coachella is, their live performance of 4D REMIX TOKYO DOME, Encore as better. Hope you react to it cause it goes different and hard.
They were the single biggest GET in Coachella history. They were literally "THE BEATLES" in the eastern half of the world. This band is blowing up big time all over the place. Except with very little coverage in the west. They were the first K-pop girl group to ever play at Coachella. They weren't even sure anyone would come to see them there. They come out like bosses and just crush it!!! They destroyed the place with literally every song. It was a REAL moment in their history. It was all anyone was talking about,.... Blackpink had landed in America.

What impressed me enough to become a BLINK was not their songs (though you can't deny they are amazingly insane) but the fact that each one of these girls are absolute sweethearts. They flex a lot in their songs true, but take one step out of that bubble and you'll see the most kind-hearted, funny, humble people ever.

For contrast, you should also see the encore performance of D4 from the Tokyo Dome. It's a bit different since it's the Japanese version (sung in Japanese with all English raps), and it's also the remix, but the performance is also quite different since it's an encore. Highly recommended.

I am seeing BlackPink in Hamilton Canada tonight. So happy I got tickets.
My guess is the live performances that are heavily requested to you are primarily because the live band gives the song a totally different sound. The live guitars and drums in particular go really hard in a lot of their songs when live.
The 3 versions of this song (original mv, Chocella live and Tokyo Dome remix live) remind me of the Alien movie (franchise). The first movie by Ridley Scott, the second by James Cameron and the third by David Fincher. The versions of this song are like directors in the same universe interpreting the same movie franchise differently.
Looking at their world tour timeline, you'll see that April is still available. And the owner of Coachella was in the born pink concert at Soul, Korea. Blackpink might be in Coachella again this year with their new album.
The great thing about D4 Coachella, This is the first time performing live in the USA, They did the TV shows, but LIVE.
BP did not know how many or if any one would be watching this venue as Coachella host many artist simultaneously, but when they opened there set with this song, they came out strong, and had a big surprise, many fans had the BP hammer light stick. knowing there are many bands playing, the hammers meant that the fans were there just for them.

every set hits a little different, but #3 Tokyo Dome and #2 Coachella are basically the same set during the same time frame, except the Korean lyrics are changed to Japanese, and the Raps are all English. if you are going to watch #3, watch it last and go straight to #4 Tokyo Dome Remix encore set which was performed on the same set in Tokyo but they open up the encore with this song, So no dancing, just vocals and magic, all the girls relax and show there real personality during the whole set. plus it is remixed. you will see.

They are fantastic live, despite the negative comments. I was in tears the second the concert started, energy was through the roof and the band was on fire, especially the drums. It was a roller coaster of emotions. Highly recommend!!! Thank you for giving Blackpink the review they deserve.

I’ve not been the biggest BLACKPINK fan, simply because I like to hear what is being said instead of read it, but live performances are always a different deal. Hearing what they can actually do without the studio production behind it is a different thing all together!
On the topic of live performances, I would really like to see you guys react to falling in reverse live! The best live performance I’ve seen, besides the Into The Unknown concert, is Losing My Life at the 2018 Warped Tour, and that is strictly speaking about the production/camera value of the video, because they hit it everytime in a live performance.
I know you guys have listened to the song already, and maybe Kyle has heard that live performance before, but even if it was just an Eric reaction, I would still love for you guys to experience that!
I really hope they do the Tokyo Dome Remix version of this song next. It's staggering!!!!!!!!!!!! And like Suzanne says down below I am worried that some that see them here may not think it's as good as it really is when they see them here in North America because it is indeed a different type of concert. Complaints about not singing everything and such......you can't have it both ways. They are putting on an amazing choreographed performance and you get to see all their dancing live in person that we've only seen on videos for years. It was special being there in Houston and I can't wait for Newark. Watching clips of Atlanta was so sad because I just want to be at all of them. Now, if they want to do an unplugged someday and sit on stage and sing their songs, I'd be down for that too, but Suzanne is right, they do them differently in South Korea and thankfully most are loving it over here too!

Guys Jisoo that night was suuuuuper sick. She said she had the worst back pain of her life and trust me, if there’s one person who never complains it’s her. And still she did her job like a soldier, with a smile on her face.
