The Stones wrote it and made it a hit. The Stone had the song of the year because of this tune. Spears and the Stone should never be said in the same sentence.
I wrote something with a similar intent above, but was more diplomatic... These young reactors have no knowledge of the 60s, and how different those daze were.
This was pretty much The Rolling Stones' signature song in their early years. That's Keith Richards in black behind Mick Jagger. Keith Richards also played Captain Jack Sparrow's father in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End!
I remember a cool scene in the series mad men , 5th season set in 1965 the lead character hears this on the radio watching young people walk by and realizes the world has changed, and he is now old or uncool . You could probably find the clip its awesome.
One of the many reasons this tune is a classic is that it’s Keith’s first use of fuzz-tone, and it’s a great use of the “hook,” a guitar riff that holds a song together, that was a feature of the Delta blues of the 30’s, as played by Son House and Charlie Patton. “The Last Time” uses another hook. The Stones’ first appearance on American TV wasn’t on Ed Sullivan, but “Hollywood Palace,” where they played the Howlin’ Wolf classic “Little Red Rooster.” It was also the first time mainstream listeners heard the classic “bottleneck slide” guitar style which also goes back to the Delta, as far as I know. The biggest reason the Stones are as great today as they ever were is that they really WERE a lot closer to the roots than the Beatles.
The Stones were on Ed Sullivan in 1964 full of energy and making the girls scream. I saw them in Milwaukee in 1999 and they were still full of energy although the girls were not quite as vocal 35 years later. Epic band, outstanding musicians and performers. Peace. ✌
This was in Oct of 1964 on the Ed Sullivan show on TV. That was the biggest and most important show on tv. The whole country watched it on Sundays at 8 p.m.. The Beatles first appearance in America was the same year but in March. The day after the Beatles played on the show, the news reported that during their performance, the crime rate in cities dropped to practically zero. Of course, everybody was home watching the Beatles !
Some poll several years ago voted this greatest rock and roll song ever written. Richards came up with the fuzz guitar line one night when he was high and couldn't rememb er it the next day. The lyrics are pure poetry.
For 10 or 20 years Satisfaction was ranked the number one song in The History of Rock and Roll by Rolling Stone magazine the words Britney Spears should never be used by someone discussing real music.
How a so simple song can transmit the feeling, the emotions, the spirit and the essence of a specific decade, generation, place and time? Well, I don't know the answer...they are the Stones basically, so don't think and feel'em deep inside your veins
this was a HUGE hit back in our day during the Vietnam War and it was popular with our troops over there who could relate on more than one level . . . not brittany spears honey ! LOL ! Youre so cute and beautiful ! XXX
Give her a break, people. She said she was a fan of Britney Spears as a teenager. Britney did this song in 2000. (Actually, Angela could still pass as a teenager). A lot of the younger crowd today aren't familiar with the Stones' catalog. She found the real thing, so celebrate!
hard to believe theres generations who see the greatest bands of all time like the beatles and stones as curiosities from another time and approach their music with minimal knowledge. for us older fans its still new and refreashing and 1965,not boring and repetitious music of today with no balls or messages.
This song has been used in movies like Apocalypse Now (1979) and I'm sure TV commercials. It's been covered by a lot of other singers and bands. This is the original.
Also recommend that you try "Paint It Black" and "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. If I hadn't gotten sick of them in 50 years, they must be good.
Angela, I have subscribed to a few of these "reaction video" platform. But you are my favorite. One, you are Stones fan. Two, you have great passion for the music. But I have just noticed that you wait until the last note of the song has played until you turn off the video, I love that. It tells me you have respect for the artist and us the listener. You are a very impressive woman! Peace & Love David
PS...try not to mention B.S. and the Stones in the same sentence. I know you apologized and excepted. Oh yeah this song was voted "the greatest" rock n roll song of all time.
This was voted the rock and roll song of all time a few years back. Definitely a signature song for them and that is saying something since they have been putting music out for about 50 years now...
Yeah, a lot of people have covered this 1965 song. Plus, it's kind of the Rolling Stones' signature song so you've probably heard it over grocery stores speakers or something.
This was one of the Stones first hits, maybe the first back in the mid sixties. They are playing on the Ed Sullivan show in the video you chose. Ed Sullivan was our TV grandpa. He had a hit variety TV show on Sunday night, primetime when there was no cable TV, just 3 commercial stations (CBS, NBC, ABC) and public TV. Sullivan may have been elderly but he hosted all the hip bands of the period. The Beatles first appearance in America was on Ed Sullivan. Btw, Sullivan hosted a bunch of African American artists in the sixties too before millions of (white) Americans. He doesn't get enough credit for merging the color differences in popular music back when such a thing wasn't all that common especially on prime time TV.
Definitely agree he didn't get the credit he deserves for promoting black artists. He got a lot of flak and hate mail. Despite that, he never backed down, even when sponsors threatened to pull their advertising after he kissed Pearl Bailey on the show.
That is the song that cemented the fame of The ROLLING STONES in 1965 and they have been at it nearly 60 years .. Some guy has a song called MOVES LIKE JAGGER that is totally a dedication to him
I'm sure I watched this on the Ed Sullivan Show in the mid-'60s. This was one of the first songs that Mick and Keith wrote themselves - - rather than previously "covering" blues songs. It turned them into a superstar group around 1966.
DayOne, The Rolling Stones played live near me when I was 16. The ticket cost was $2.00. Ed Sullivan would not let them back on his TV show because he wanted them to change part of the Lyrics and they didn't.
This was done on the Ed Sullivan show, they cut out a verse or two. Mick had to keep his dancing in line for the show, or he would have really showed out! 🤗🤔😎
of course you do ... I'ts iconic .. Brittany's is a cover There isn't much new under the sun ... I'm a teen from the sixties and this is the time when the world was changed musically .
You may want to check out the official audio version of that great, great song. The clip you watched is missing the second verse. Beautiful reaction by the way. So natural.
In my opinion, the Stones' greatest song is "Gimme Shelter". They were at their height when they made this, and Mary Clayton's backing vocals are incredible.
the story (?) on the guitar riff is that Keith was wasted one night, did it, had a recorder going, woke up not recalling the night before, and flipped on the recorder and discovered it
I'm surprised Ed Sullivan let them sing this very controversial lyric. "And I'm tryin' to make some girl, who tells me Baby, better come back maybe next week Can't you see I'm on a losing streak?" Many radio stations censored this open reference to sex and a woman having her period. One of the best rock songs ever.
This is the greatest rock and roll song of all time. Please react to "With a Little Help from My Friends" by Joe Cocker live with Mad Dogs and Englishmen", live at The Metropol. Great reaction, countless millions have rocked out to this number for over half a century. Welcome aboard.
Like me, you will discover over the years that many songs you assumed were by a current Artist or Group are actually covers from way back :) Mick Jagger went to school 10 miles from me on the edge of London ...
By saying "Britney Spears and Rolling Stones" in the same breath, you have literally shocked and offended a million and a half Stone fanboys and girls. So many in the comments who're looking to set you straight. Don't upset the grandparents. LOL!
Classic from my youth. Another favorite from the 70s is the Carley Simons song about finally finding a healthy relationship "I haven't got time for the pain". ruclips.net/video/zxv9HsgnW2I/видео.html
The early Stones are awesome. Mick Jaggers voice kind went in the late 70s and he started acting more like a cheer learder that a vocalist. Sorry... thats jus how I see it. By the way... The best stondes is sweet virginia or dead flowers live from 1972.
One of the most iconic songs in rock music history and "I thought this was Brittany Spears". Just realise that you can never come back from that travesty.
LOL........Britney Spears......funny......your only allowed to think yourself an airhead if you were born decades ago and didn't know who did it. Mick and Keith wrote it for fun as kinda a joke and it clicked.....Help select your next video?......o god.....where do I start....ok.....Money for Nothing.....by Dire Straights....if you haven't done it yet......sorry haven't checked......your doing a damn good job yourself 😀😀😀🎸🌈🎼🌈🎹🌈👍👍👍💖💖💖
The Stones wrote it and made it a hit. The Stone had the song of the year because of this tune. Spears and the Stone should never be said in the same sentence.
And don't forget DEVO! --don
Amen to that brother!
Lumping Brittany Spears in with the Rolling Stones in he same sentence is enough to make us Boomers ill, lol....
Are you saying Mick Jagger is better looking than Brittany Spears?
I wrote something with a similar intent above, but was more diplomatic... These young reactors have no knowledge of the 60s, and how different those daze were.
@@dday9257 Yes, they didn't have to use no Voice Modulation.
This was pretty much The Rolling Stones' signature song in their early years. That's Keith Richards in black behind Mick Jagger. Keith Richards also played Captain Jack Sparrow's father in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End!
One of the most played songs ever but its also one of THE greatest ever written..
This Song is an icon in Rock-music (1965).

HUGE hit worldwide in"1965"
The Stones are iconic ...have you reacted to "You Can't Always Get What you Want" by them yet? That should be next!!
The Stones were on Ed Sullivan in 1964 full of energy and making the girls scream. I saw them in Milwaukee in 1999 and they were still full of energy although the girls were not quite as vocal 35 years later. Epic band, outstanding musicians and performers. Peace. ✌
The best song ever etched into vinyl,👍
Soooo funny. Brittany was like the 84th person or group to do a cover of this. It came out before she was falcon born!
I agree
They're awesome .❤😂

One of the Stones earliest US hits... And decades before Brittany was choosing covers to ca$h in!
Written in a hotel room in Clearwater Fla
For 10 or 20 years Satisfaction was ranked the number one song in The History of Rock and Roll by Rolling Stone magazine the words Britney Spears should never be used by someone discussing real music.
that's alright, it's all just for fun, right? if she enjoys it, who cares?
This song was rated the best rock and roll song ever.
And it is
How a so simple song can transmit the feeling, the emotions, the spirit and the essence of a specific decade, generation, place and time?
Well, I don't know the answer...they are the Stones basically, so don't think and feel'em deep inside your veins
“ Dance little sister” is a cool Stones tune with a good beat
Stones wrote and made it one of the biggest songs in history. Long before Spears was born
this was a HUGE hit back in our day during the Vietnam War and it was popular with our troops over there who could relate on more than one level . . . not brittany spears honey ! LOL ! Youre so cute and beautiful ! XXX

Appreciate you doing this one ❤. Such a GRAND BAND. The original.
Love it lol.....Rolling Stones since '64
This song has been used in movies like Apocalypse Now (1979) and I'm sure TV commercials. It's been covered by a lot of other singers and bands. This is the original.
This is one of the 5 or 6 biggest songs of the 1960s, and made the Stones superstars
Seen them in 1969 at the Spectrum Philadelphia P.A Awesome show!!
Also recommend that you try "Paint It Black" and "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. If I hadn't gotten sick of them in 50 years, they must be good.
Almost 60 years mate
This was voted the greatest rock song (ever) for a number of years
Angela, I have subscribed to a few of these "reaction video" platform. But you are my favorite. One, you are Stones fan. Two, you have great passion for the music. I think 56 or 57 years
60 years this year
I first heard this 53 years ago still love it
The Ultimate Rock Song. Every guitar player and drummer starts out learning to play this tune.....or, at least they should.
Iconic group. Iconic song.
I can't imagine that Britney Spears wrote anything.
This was the 60's and one of the most played song. I was only 15 and we drove crazy when it came on.
Yeah, a lot of people have covered this 1965 song. Plus, it's kind of the Rolling Stones' signature song so you've probably heard it over grocery stores speakers or something.
One of the big reasons right there how the mid 60's were a totally new and different vibe.
you're right man. an iconic moment in time, when this came on the radio. subversive and cool in a way not heard before. rock on! god bless the stones
I love it when you start to dance. Your hands dance really well.
Stones are distinct by era, a few of my favorites, "Miss You,"Brown Sugar," "Start Me Up", and about 100 other songs.
This was one of the Stones first hits, maybe the first back in the mid sixties. They are playing on the Ed Sullivan show in the video you chose. Ed Sullivan was our TV grandpa. Another great track by the Stones in their early years is The Last Time. Have listen...
The only Rolling Stones 45 I ever bought.
That is the song that cemented the fame of The ROLLING STONES in 1965 and they have been at it nearly 60 years .. Some guy has a song called MOVES LIKE JAGGER that is totally a dedication to him
The Stones wrote it ,nice reaction!
Don't feel stupid, you're just young. All of life is a learning process.
I'm sure I watched this on the Ed Sullivan Show in the mid-'60s. This was one of the first songs that Mick and Keith wrote themselves - - rather than previously "covering" blues songs. It turned them into a superstar group around 1966.
Britney Spears couldn't carry Mick's snot rag!
DayOne, The Rolling Stones played live near me when I was 16. The ticket cost was $2.00. Ed Sullivan would not let them back on his TV show because he wanted them to change part of the Lyrics and they didn't.
It has that gritty guitar riff that makes it stand out.
Time for you to do "Brown Sugar" by the Rolling Stones.
This was done on the Ed Sullivan show, they cut out a verse or two. Mick had to keep his dancing in line for the show, or he would have really showed out! 🤗🤔😎
Absolutely right.
of course you do ... I'ts iconic .. Brittany's is a cover There isn't much new under the sun ... I'm a teen from the sixties and this is the time when the world was changed musically .
Arguably, the most famous guitar riff in rock history
This is a great classic.Mick still looks the same.
"Someone else sang this song." Yeah, like a hundred other artists. Never heard Britney sing it. I'll be sure to avoid ever experiencing that. lol
My favorite group thank for reaction
love the way you dance!!!
You may want to check out the official audio version of that great, great song. The clip you watched is missing the second verse.
Beautiful reaction by the way. So natural.
Otis Redding had a nice version of the song as well
My head is spinning. Eeek. Britany doing a Stones’ song.
This song was ranked as the #1 greatest rock song of all time EVER for a reason
Personally I’d go for “Like a Rolling Stone” or “Crossroads,” but this is sure up there.
In my opinion, the Stones' greatest song is "Gimme Shelter". They were at their height when they made this, and Mary Clayton's backing vocals are incredible.
"Beast of Burden", "It's Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It)" and "Love is Strong" are some great but underplayed Stones songs
the story (?) on the guitar riff is that Keith was wasted one night, did it, had a recorder going, woke up not recalling the night before, and flipped on the recorder and discovered it
Apocalypse Now is where you'll have heard it.
Thanks for the music! --don, mphs
wow 50 years ago. now I feel old
No almost 56 years ago!
I'm surprised Ed Sullivan let them sing this very controversial lyric. "And I'm tryin' to make some girl, who tells me
Baby, better come back maybe next week
Can't you see I'm on a losing streak?" Many radio stations censored this open reference to sex and a woman having her period. One of the best rock songs ever.
That’s what that means? 😯. See, this is why I like old school lyrics. Nowadays, they would just say it flat out. No imagination.
Wild Horses
its a learning process. Dont beat yourself up.
The next great and essential Stones song to check out is *Gimme Shelter.* Trust me, you'll be glad you did :-)
This.
This is the greatest rock and roll song of all time. Please react to "With a Little Help from My Friends" by Joe Cocker live with Mad Dogs and Englishmen", live at The Metropol. Great reaction, countless millions have rocked out to this number for over half a century. Welcome aboard.
Number one Billboard song from 1965…small hit…🤣🤣🤣
Now try Soul Sacrifice (the Woodstock version) by Santana !
Another deep rabbit hole !
Otis Redding covered this and the Stones loved his version.
Like me, you will discover over the years that many songs you assumed were by a current Artist or Group are actually covers from way back :)
Mick Jagger went to school 10 miles from me on the edge of London ...
This is a very famous song.
Honky Tonk Woman, Brown Sugar...
Mick with Tina Turner version
Great choice. This was the first song they wrote themselves
You really need to listen to The rolling Stones wild horses, You can't always get what You want, Angie, and tumbling Dice.
A number of artist cover this song.
Mick Jagger has been knighted by the Queen of England and is now Sir Michael Jagger.
If you have ever seen a Viet Nam movie , you have heard this song
By saying "Britney Spears and Rolling Stones" in the same breath, you have literally shocked and offended a million and a half Stone fanboys and girls. So many in the comments who're looking to set you straight. Don't upset the grandparents. LOL!
Play this song to get the party started.
That's the studio version dubbed over the video. It's still cool. Otis Redding covered this song way before Brittney.
Classic from my youth. Another favorite from the 70s is the Carley Simons song about finally finding a healthy relationship "I haven't got time for the pain". ruclips.net/video/zxv9HsgnW2I/видео.html

Devo did a punk cover of this song in the late '70s.
hahahaha Britney Spears.....this was 1965
Under my thumb
4 more great uploads today, but the stones beat up on the girls.
One of the most iconic songs in rock music history and "I thought this was Brittany Spears". Just realise that you can never come back from that travesty.
No Brittany Spears copied this song it was ok but The Rolling Stones is the original classic. One of the greatest rock songs of all time!
LOL........Britney Spears......funny......your only allowed to think yourself an airhead if you were born decades ago and didn't know who did it. Otis Redding does a great cover of this.
God, I HOPE Brittany Spears didn't do this song! lol
Try ANGIE by the Rolling Stones
Otis Redding covered this song too.
OMG what did you just say?????? Remind me to not look up Brittney Spears version of this classic..... No no no ...SACRILEGE!
