    I wish commentators would stop going on about push and pulled putts. I was watching the golf live earlier and Mickelson has a line on his ball and you could see it rolling perfectly end over end (therefore no push or pull) and he missed the putt and the commentator was saying he pulled it. No he didn’t he either miss read the putt or he got the speed wrong for the line he had chosen. These guys are pros the hardly ever push or pull a putt.

    • @TheMuffs2004
      @TheMuffs2004 5 лет назад +10

      Agreed. This is why I like former players as commentators. Granted there are even some of this that do this as well but it’s nice to hear them be honest and chime in from time to time. For instance, I remember Paul Azinger correcting other announcers very subtlety but effectively correcting other announcers from time to time. On one occasion I remember him correcting another that a shot was not actually mishit but in reality was struck very solid but the pro just used a club not appropriate for the shot.

      KingsFan08 Honestly some guys just tend to excel on more difficult tracks. I’m someone who does that. My theory is that it has to do with their mental game and mental approach at the bigger tournaments. I’m not saying Brooks does this as I don’t know him but a lot of players I know that excel at harder courses tend to get lackadaisical at easier tracks. An old friend from my younger days, and I myself, are both guilty as hell of doing this.

    • @alexcooper6265
      @alexcooper6265 5 лет назад

      Maybe he can only get fully motivated when it's a big tournament. Not struggling for money, so playing week-in week-out on the tour might get boring. Many Americans don't seem to bother too much about golf etiquette, I noticed. Patrick Reed is another one who regularly just stands there, idly watching his ball sail into the crowds. Yet he throws a massive bully-boy tantrum when a cameraman accidentally jingles some change in his pocket.

    • @cscoetzee
      @cscoetzee 5 лет назад +1

      @YikesBikes Not always true. I have seen many cases where nobody did anything at all (like in this instance actually!) and the crowd was not warned. It is the golfer's responsibility to shout fore when his ball is potentially dangerous, in competitions and everywhere else. I see many European golfers do it and I see many Americans who simply don't bother. The marshals try to do it but they are not always on hand, and it's not really their responsibility.

    • @Paarcoacher
      @Paarcoacher 5 лет назад +1

      @YikesBikes can be true..not in this case...the people watched in direction of the incoming ball flight, and no one was warned....no one was hiding or turn around.
      However...there's no good reason NOT so shout FORE to warn people

    • @cscoetzee
      @cscoetzee 5 лет назад

      @YikesBikes You don't seem to understand. Nobody said they have to SEE the golfer. Please show us where did we 'ACT' like this..? That's why, golf etiquette requires the GOLFER to SHOUT 'Fore!' if his ball is in danger of hitting someone. SHOUT - not WAVE. Or did you not know this? Have you ever been on a golf course? As I said - the marshalls try to do this for the golfers, but it most definitely is not their 'job'. There are not always enough marshalls available, and they might not see where the ball goes themselves, and they have many other tasks which can take away their concentration. But keep on trying to find excuses for why it's bad form for your hero not to shout FORE, I am sure you will get some disciples for your non-logic.

      @YikesBikes You know that Koepka already blinded a woman in one eye during the Ryder cup, don't you? That's right, she is now blind in one eye for life. Koepka reportedly was 'devastated' by that. Yet here he doesn't seem to give a toss that it could happen again. 'Not his fault - the marshals should have done something', according to you. Golf etiquette is not necessary in majors because someone else will take care of that for him, right?

      I'd rather have a better framerate so the ball doesnt skip around as it lands or when theres a long putt.

    PGA of America true to form is not missing a single opportunity for ad revenue, can hardly see the leaderboard for the number of ads on the page, in between every shot on their website no matter the featured group a minimum of 180 seconds of ad space. Just like the Ryder Cup the PGA tries to squeeze every drop of ad revenue from the PGA and the Ryder Cup that they can. The PGA would rather sell the entire screen in ad space if they could, and to hell with the fans of the game. The Ryder Cup has been turned into an unwatchable event due to the commercials.

    did he make it look easy. I like Mcilroy, but if everyone was at their best, then Koepka would beat Rory by a stroke, daylight rest. When this guy plays well it is so good to watch. Nice putting stroke for a big guy.
