THROWING TIP: Give Arrowhead a hard throw at 20 to 30 degrees and watch it soar.

i suggest expanding the wings because the fuselage is huge at the back and is wasting quite a lot of space and surface area. i also found a way to lock the plane by folding the flap in the front of the fuselage into the pocket. you can do this by folding the flap up, so that there are two valley creases, then make one a mountain crease by reversing. then fold the flap in. making pre creases will help with this lock. when you are folding the flap in, you should lift up the entire flap and then do the step very easily. with this lock, i would consider this plane an intermediate level. i hope this helps kyle!!! :))
I folded this for my 4 year old nephew and he loves it. He was throwing it 40-50 feet. Amazing video.

Tip:adding 2 little 3in.wide by 2.5in. Tall right triangles can make it go farther and more stable. It can also help it do trick shots

I've just made this and have noticed that it's the same shape as other planes. I presume that the success of yours is in the weight distribution. It does feel a bit sturdier than the other plane.
I'm tempted to make one out of balsa wood. I could find the centre of gravity by hanging your design from a thread.

I work as a cashier in a grocery store and I've been making paper planes for ten years. Whenever the store gets quiet I'll take out a pack of sticky notes and fold them into various planes I've learned over the years. I just recently figured out how to trim a 3x3 into the shape of an 8.5x11 sheet (trim off roughly 10/16 of an inch from one side, about half a knuckle for me), which has allowed me to start making your designs. My favorites to make with them so far are Elanus and Arrowhead, as well as John Collins's Starfighter, which all fly surprisingly well with the right adjustments. adjustments. It's incredibly fun.
My first job was at Kroger. I didn't fold planes on my shifts, but I would have had a lot more fun if I did!
@@FoldableFlight it's still very finicky. Dart style planes tend to just flat spin at this size, but larger winged models like Elanus and Nakamura actually work quite well, as well as some others found in children's books that are designed with square paper, like Imaginary Voyage or Immamura. Arrowhead works but the adjustments are a pain in the ass. But I've successfully gotten them to shoot across a living room at average.
Sadly, my plane doesn't fly 100 feet or over, but this plane made my record of 63 feet!

the first time i watched this video it was posted 3 months ago and during the pandemic i folded a lot of paper planes and saw that the video was made 2 years ago. after the pandemic i did not make any more until now that i thought of seeing the channel again, 4 years have passed. how time flies...
Very nice plane...i managed to make it fly 25+ feet in heigt and about 85-90 feet in lenght in just one flight... :)) also i made this at school and when i lounched it it flew on top of the school roof...(like 45 feet above ground)

When I made the plan it wasn't flying very well still about 40 feet then I decided to expierement and added half inch stabilizers now it can get 75 feet with ease
Nice! I'm glad that worked for you. It's likely that all you needed to do was bend the trailing edges of the wings upward very slightly. Making adjustments like this is called "trimming" the plane. I'm planning on making a video on how to properly trim paper airplanes so that they fly optimally. But nice job on your successful experiment!
