Materials: US Letter ( 8.5 in x11 in ) Paper
Difficulty: Easy
Throwing Tip: Bend the back edges of the wings up slightly to compensate for its tendency to dive. Throw the plane at a 20 to 30 degree angle, and it should soar nicely through the air!

Thought it would be just cool-looking but this beast flies better than most paper planes I've made before!
Just took a crayon and painted a little red cockpit glass, next step is making one in steel-grey paper, would look fantastic. Every student who comes to my office (School councellor) gawk at it now :) Best free toy I ever created, thanks for making my students smile a bit more. The fact I am a real glider-pilot as well makes this fit perfectly in my office.
Update. after I have done several of these at work for the kids I found that instead of creasing the back part up, you can cut 2 short slits and fold them a tiny bit up. These create actual elevators as in the real plane, and can be adjusted to actually trim the plane, both sideways flight and glide! With these slits it can glide gently or be fast whatever you prefer or set the trim to for each flight.
IT'S SO COOL and the most cool partvis that it does loop the loop and it always land right up making it a clear landing😎

I can see at some point, tiny motors could be added to make an r/c paper airplaneyou could fly with a radio transmitter. The idea has been done before but the airplane designs used it that effort where somewhat crud. If not electronicly powered, very small rubberbands might be fashioned somehowto make `self-powered` paper airplane. Just `throwing` that out there for grins. Great channel.
I think you're talking about the PowerUp Motors. I actually really like those. As long as you fold planes that work well with the motors (and fold the planes well) then the motors fly really nicely!

Very nice. Works best with 11' x 8.5' paper. If u only have A4 reduce (cut) the long side by 1' (2.5 cm).
This guy is so much more helpful than any of the other big shot paper airplane designers, because he goes into the design thoroughly, and shows simpler ways to fold. Thank you so much.

Why do you live near a volcano in the first place
You know the funny thing is I learned origami in second grade and just went with it and learned how to do almost all kinds of different things and was just fun being able to make all these complicated designs from paper. Now im 37 and have three kids of my own, i never ever thought about how much they would love seeing me make all these things i know how to make. Its great to hear, omg daddy thats so cool!! it was a good idea to make elevators to make it go up but it wasnt working so i cut out lines 2 for each elevator and put elevators on the back and the tips of the wings and it flies SO good but if you lower the left or right main wing elevator down for the left just the left or just the right and leave one of the sides tip elevator up it enters a sharp turn Like from topgun :/ but F-15
