One suggestion is to use busststions as hubs where u have subway stations or train. Also most busses where im from go from one part of city to another part through some kind of interchange hub. That way u csn hslf the number of bus lines and people, who want, can trsvel on one buss to their destination. Also the number of interchsnge opportunities increase. Might not matter in game but more realistic and fun.
Nice video
About the subway, I think you're right by being affraid for bottle necks. The central station in downtown bixton is a major bottleneck. Since trains would have to turn around here and wait for other trains to clear the tracks. I think combining lines 1 and 2 to one line, and do the same for lines 3 and 4. Leaving you with 2 lines.
The switchback in Auburn (where you added the extension to the CIB) is also a bottleneck. I would suggest connecting to the station from the other side, so trains coming from bixton don't have to turn around before going to the CIB, but can continue on.
For future extensions, you can go full-on US-style with this. Modern subway/light-rail lines tend to follow the median/side of highways and build overground where possible to cut costs. Would look cool for lines running to the suburbs.
That all being said: this build is looking pretty sweet
Would love to see an overview of how your subway system is being used after you've done the overhaul.
The city is looking good! I would like to see an expansion of the downtown
To avoid bottlenecks in subways I always have my "mainline" of a subway go past the station and then have two "on-and-off" connecting tunnels connect the station to the "mainline", so that subway trains can go past one station if they are needed further down the mainline to avoid stopped trains at stations blocking all subway train traffic further down the "mainline"
Perfect timing always love your videos
So frustrating that you didn't try to untick un-needed lines/infos so that it's clearer to design the metro.
I think at some places it would be a good idea to place two subway stations right beside one another to act as a hub in order to avoid bottlenecks.
Do you have enough busses you might need to add more bus depos.
You know it’s a good day when Timeister uploads
You need more in a city bus lines to create and more Inner City trains cos that will really be nice in your city four more inner city public transportation😊😊
Subway Line Name Suggestions -
Green - District Line
Red - Quincy Line
Blue - Northern Line
Yellow - Metropolitan Line
Binge watching Bixton lol. I noticed there's a video in your playlist that shouldn't be there. You might wanna fix that.
Can anyone tell me how to purchase this game? Well which way is best to play. On a PC or Console?
I know this video is old, but you should have done a dedicated bus stop that just went to each bus station to help move some ppl around that way it's easy on the cims
You need more buses, build more bus depot!!!
OMG, the UI in this game is just horrendous. You can't see a thing because everything is coloured in different shades of grey.
I think if you press the letter I it will toggle the gray away.
Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting a Jeremy Clarkson quote when I clicked play on this video - especially with it being about public transport!
yellow line should just be an extension of the blue line. in reality it would, because terminating lines in busy central stations is notoriously difficult. much easier to terminate and reverse trains at outer termini where there are fewer trains. It also means passengers don't have to transfer between yellow and blue trains and can just run one service straight through
Cities Skylines 2 Public Transportation: Where everything's made up and the points don't matter
Wow your city looks great!
🚞🚌🚂
You should build more areas where there are skyscrapers (commercial hubs).
This video is good, i love the public transportation part personally and I feel like your cities need a little more tramways. And I hope the next video is coming soon !
Hello
This city seems very late game at this point.. Are you planning to start a new one?
Probably once official modding support comes out.
@@Timeister Ay, nice!
