Yeah, they are good people. They brought me on that adventure. It might be even funnier to have all three of us in my little tin can of a boat someday, too. That was Brett’s Lund we fished out of for this video.
It’s amazing how the feels of the day are so easily forgotten sometimes. It took me editing this video to remind me that we actually had some serious fish action, because that first half day after your big fish was a bit of a struggle for finding the bite.
I've never felt so engaged in the non-fishing part of a video before. You made it feel like I was there...I mean, I was, but I felt there again. @@rippinglipsadventures
@@BloemendaalFishing Thanks. It really was how the day broke down naturally. Nothing crazy, but it was chronological and pretty easy to recreate with you two. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the day. It was a blast then as it was to revisit in editing.
Ha, ha! Thanks! I was thinking the same thing myself. I do like ice fishing, but I've been so busy with school teaching and a weekend festival we have for 3 weeks in a row after Thanksgiving, I still have a few open water videos I'm considering editing and slapping up on the ol' RUclipss. Have a great holiday season if I don't get one up before then.
@@rippinglipsadventures living in Alabama, we have no, zero ice fishing. So PLEASE post the open water footage you have. I’ve never ice fished but here is my observation, there is not any group of fishermen who are more excited when they get “ fishable “ ice. But there is no group happier when the ice fishing is over. Just my observation on it, probably all wrong 🤣🤣🤣 tight lines and MERRY CHRISTMAS
@@danward2490 Ha, ha, ha! Yeah. Ice fishing is probably 100 times harder work than open water because you have to drill holes and/or just wait on one hole for fish to move through. With the boat, a guy can just find them or not and move to where the biting fish are most times of the day. There is definitely a crow who loves ice fishing more and a crowd who likes open water. Some guys won't even set foot on ice and others won't go in a boat that I've talked to. Tight lines...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year when that roles around!
You're right. You're right. You got us beat with 6 white bass, 1 pike, and 2 walleye (the one being the same size as most of Brandon's and my walleye combined). Ha, ha! Brandon had 5 white bass, 4 walleye, and one nice cat. I ended up with 6 walleye (kept 4), a cat, and the two bonus goldeyes. Ha!
Bring those guys fishing more often. They were a hoot!

I love that video so much! It captured so much more than the action. All the feels of the day. So good.

Love it!
Thanks, Sam!
Good one Randy!! I appreciate the open water videos especially this time of year when all I see is ice fishing 🤮🤮

Oh, I was happy with my catches for the day. We beat Brett in his own boat. Ha, ha!
