I just saw a way greater race at Saratoga today when Flightline ran away with the lead to take the 2022 grade 1 pacific classic and his lead was 19 1/2 lengths it was crazy
I don’t really watch horse racing, but Secretariat was and will always be one of the greatest If not the best racehorse ever. But I still think there’s a lot of great racehorses.

@@robloxoceanicairlinesccs6149 the modern day crop is designed not to do any damage. Plus jockeys are only allowed to hit the horse flat race 8 times.
@@barbaradyson6951 7 times. 8 is jump races. Plus you're not allowed to exceed 5 strikes in the last 2 furlongs.
It doesn't even hurt em it triggers a flight reflex it's no different than when you go to doctor and he hits your knee with a little hammer makes your leg kick that's a reflex. Well the brush on the horses backend triggers the flight reflex in a horse and it just makes sure horse doesn't quit and ut keeps up to the task at hand that's all. It no more hurts them as the doctor hurts yiunwhen he hits yoyr knee. Same thing triggering a reflex. Period by the way its probably that time of month

There is no reason to constantly hit the horse that hard with a wip.

They dint even feel it. I hate people that think animals are the same as us. Now yea if someone was beating you with it yea it would but that's a 1200 pound animal if it hurt the horse wouldstart running slower because it's in pain. The whip just makes the horse have a natural flight reflex which Un turn gives its brain a signal to induce the flight reflex. It's no different than when yoyr at the doctor and he taps your knee with a little hammer it makes you leg kick but it does hurt. Same thing triggers a reflex if a horse is standing still and some cracks a whip behind it it takes off on instinct. Watch the horse race movie Seabuiscuit when their training him to break with the bell and the trainer cracks that whip every time the bell rings to get the hourse to naturally break with the bell. Well he ain't hurting the horse same thing. People are goofy 🤪
@Mike Smith horses are more sensitive than us. It’s been proven time and time again. They have more nerve endings per Square inch.

This is a horrible race there is so much abuse in just this one video, these are animals they did nothing to you. It is like torturing a human purely for entertainment, horses have thinner skin than humans so they feel the pain 2x as much. This is not ok

Number one it is about MONEY
Number Two as jockeys ride in extremely short stirrups and therefore can barely use their legs to quide the horse they use the whip to tell the horse to accelerate the rhythm. As a drummer gives the rhythm of a band.
Rode racehorses only for 50 years might know a bit about the game.

These animals love to run, that’s true. But not when their being beaten pumped up on drugs and way to young to even be ridden yet, these horses suffer. In what world is it okay to ride a horse under 2yo u shouldn’t ride them until they are at LEAST 3. Also lots of these amazing animals are shipped off to be slaughtered in Mexico. How are you going to support this industry and say it’s okay. Horses love to run and play in fields, and a nice gallop with their rider, not like most of these horses even get turned out to a feild smh, I just don’t understand how this is okay in your eyes.
