    Nice, I have a new respect for excavator operator, I rented an E35 - $860. for 2 days. There is a learning curve to operating one. I never operated one before, took 2 or 3 times as long as someone who knows what they are doing. & it’s a lot of work!

    I still stand by my original suggestion. A feller-buncher would grab the trees, cut them off low and allow you to place them where you want. They use them all the time especially when they need to go through trees like those to get to where they want to log the big stuff. You can also use some of the little logs you have now for a corduroy road in areas you have trouble like your culvert. We really need a small excavator to dig out some springs we have. Good video.

    How exciting. Your own land is great. Water can be a pain, but I see a pond, not everyone can do that. In the future you will have lots of firewood. 😎

    We used to cover the beeper with foam then cardboard and tape it with a few layers of duct tape. It makes it much more quiet. I know its for safety but that beeping for everything direction and where you guys are at there's really no need for all that noise. I never seen one that goes off for more than just backing up.

    Cool video man, I would suggest you use the biggest logs as your main beam supports for the creek crossing. You have plenty to pick from and if placed correctly would work great. Just an idea for you.

    Nice video! Looks like lots of work clearing land. Are you going to stock the pond with different kinds of fish? I know you said there is bass already there. I'm more of a trout person. 🐟🐠🐟🐠🎣🎣🎣

    Them machines that swivel like that have a big screw that hold it together. So the idea is to swing one way and back the other. Otherwise may unscrew itself.

    It is fascinating seeing the land use history of the Chocoloco Valley though the years. The trees come, go, and come back again. Springs are turned to ponds and woodland to marsh. Long stock sheds disappear and homes pop up. You can see all this on Google Earth.

      yes he's back and my dad is doing better, he preordered a Ford Maverick truck last summer, on a whim, just got on his phone and ordered it, they weren't out yet. It finally arrived after Thanksgiving, he drove it once and the whole computer system went nuts. They had no idea how to fix it. It stayed in the shop at the 30 mile mark, they put 150 miles on it, he got it back after 3 months. TMI i know, but I gotta fuss to someone about it!!! sorry...

    Video everything you do and it's considered a business right off on taxes. Vacations new equipment, anything which is an awesome way to expand your channel and have all your memories logged in to video as well as making a bit of cash while letting others who can't do things for whatever reason like medical issues feel like they had an enjoyable day out. I like your channel because of all the different things you do but I have to say when you start a story and then you get sidetracked and tell 2 other stories then never get back to the first one it kinda drives me nuts because I can't ask you the outcome of the first if I'm interested in it. For me, I try to find the best word to describe the statement the best way which makes me lose track of the story I'm trying to tell. Drives me nuts.

    I heard you call me out in the other video. I would love to bring my wife, offspring, and machines over there. The only problem is that food cost money. My wife and offspring think that food is important, and my employer thinks it's important for me to go to work inorder to get paid. If you would just pack up and move to TX, it would be much easier.

    • @ExploringAlabama
      @ExploringAlabama  2 года назад +2

      Oh I hollered it loud. If I could see a road from my camp I'd look out the window every time a truck went by to see if it was you. I can't see it so I go to the street corner, stand there, and look into each truck as they stop at the light, I say, "Paul?" the guys just simply say, "no" or "get the u know what outta here"

      @@ExploringAlabama I know you understand this, but I also have one of my offspring in college. I told a friend last night that I think there might be a communication problem between us and the university. We said we want to pay for his education and I think they heard we wanted to buy the dean's mansion.
