This video was so simple and smooth. Very appreciative, literally the inspiration I was just looking for. Going to start today for my ball pythons. Question, do you recommend the same substrate mix for them?
I’ve never understood tier’s of cages. I always (with the exception of tarantula and scorpions) up my pets in the size they will need as a adult. Dose my ackies monitor need a 120gal tank as a baby, no. But it definitely enjoys it.
video idea: an updated video touching on snake mites and other types of parasites or diseases that reptiles are susceptible to. i, as well as most of the friends i have in the hobby have had or are having issues with them and nothing seems to work. i currently am dealing with some snake mites and they’re a nightmare
@@WickensWickedReptiles can't wait, I'm definitely worried about those. Never had the issue before, but better to have info and not need it than to be caught lacking.
Try Nyx lice shampoo diluted 50% in water soak the animals the rinse with lukewarm water. Take everything out of the enclosure and soak it in the nyx. spray the tank with the nyx mixture and wipe it out. Put down paper towel and return the animals to the enclosure. Any live plants will need to be disposed of and replaced. Do this every 3-4weeks for about for 2 months and the mites should be gone. Been using this method for 15 years without fail nor harm to my animals. *PS do not do this for amphibians and remove any insects or arachnids from the room during and for 24/hrs after treatment.**
I found that the best way to deal with mites is to get the predatory type mites. Tarrus mites they are called I believe. It cleared all my snakes out within a week! As well as my friends too. They are expensive but honestly if you go for them from the start they are an absolute best. They die out once snake mites are all gone as they have no more food.
@@alexanderrobbins3984 Thank you for the advice! I have tried the Nyx, but not in anywheres near as strong of a solution as you’ve recommended, so that could be why i’m having lackluster results, thanks again!
