A little note of editing trickery; When Tisha scowls at 1:35, that is actually two shots mixed together, the head is separate from the torso!
That's......not zombielike at all.
I mean unemployable.....
I thought this was supposed to be post-apocalyptic. This is just a normal day at the job centre.
Preach
being honest, i was expecting a crazy dramatic zombie killing scene but him running away is probably funnier
Dramatic zombie killing hunter scare amazing scene
American comedy: people behaving bizarrely in a normal situation. British comedy: people behaving normal in a bizarre situation.
Incase you have never had to go to the jobcentre before, this is surprisingly accurate
Midget and FriendsTM it was based on real experience so we are glad that came across
@@Ardvale Keep up the good work :), was a great watch
Its nice to see after the apocalypse they where able to improve the job centre experience
The expressions here are just excellent...
That interviewer has obviously been trained in the real World. She had the perfect level of false sympathy and bureaucratic deafness to all explanations and excuses. She could go to the top in any Government Social Working establishment. In fact she was, to quote Mary Poppins, "Practically perfect in every way." This film was a satirical little gem. It appealed to my very sick sense of humour at all levels. Full marks to the actor's and crew.
Sad day for Freedom something so funny and stupid is really the truth. This video is very well done and I hope people get it if not the joke is on them
Agreed!!! I have already watched it a couple of times!!
I thought this was going to be Post-Apocalyptic, not real life on Universal Credit.
“Sit tight for two weeks.”
Annnd here we are. Life imitates art.
That actor's eyes capture how I'm feeling these days. I thought he was going to slide over the desk and take over her job! Thanks for the comedic relief :)
I remember having to "sign on" at the job centre, this is pretty much what it's like.
Fun Fact, this entire video was shot in Sheffield and no props or scenery alterations were used.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
dont be daft. the people look to normal to be from yorkshire
Nice comment.
I thought this was supposed to be a post apocalyptic film. The Job centre scenes just seem like a normal every day appointment at the job centre.
Um, did you miss the “woman turns into zombie” part?
@@allisond.46 no they probably didn't miss that bit, accurate lol
@@allisond.46 I thought they were already zomb... er... unemployables to begin with.
I just loved this actor with how he portayed the character's expressions and actions, especially in how he took off like a bat out of Hell😅🤣!
Been unemployed for a hot minute, this was hecka triggering
Not really, but yeah, you got the feel of hostile hospitality down pat
Why did he leave at the end? A job just opened up at the unemployment office and he was the first one there who could replace her!
Coz she put a stamp of suspended before dying
So?
Rip up the suspended paper nobody would be wiser.
Brilliant short comedy horror! I used to work in the Department of Social Security and this film gets the horror and absurdity just perfectly.
Brilliant, well done. I thought I was all zombied out. This was a great twist on the genre.
wow we love a documentary of 2020 britain
Really? So you have Trump supporters there as well? Sorry about that.
@@pakde8002 I mean, I'm sure we do but we have our own bunch of conservatives too
@@kitreadsbooks7718 So how is Boris working out?
@@littlemrpinkness295 just bloody brilliant :(
The idea and script was in development for over 2 years. It's weird how relevant it remained for all this time.
Had benefits massively sanctioned after missing an appointment for a funeral - I called ahead days before. This was depressingly accurate.
Same situation. A mix up with the appointment date and that was that.
This...this reeks of old BBC comedy so much! This is perfect! It's like the zombie apocalypse sketch Monty Python's Flycing Circus never did! Even the exaggeratedly pleasant head bobbing, smiling and just all around thick, juicy, moist awkwardness! This will never not be in my Favorites to watch again and again and again!
Well done Last Minute Productions! Well done!
That was actually quite clever. The tension between the work coach and the "customer" is really well portrayed. I've often felt a certain degree of resentment accross the desk when signing on. They hate their jobs and they envy the person they're supposed to be helping out, because they themselves are often in such hopeless situations. It's always an emotionally taxing interaction.
Exactly right, I feel sorry for them sometimes, at least we get to go home, they don't.
@@hiwall4883 Hey, how good is it not having to go for appointments with the lock down?
@@shlamimk4664 I wish! I've got an appointment on Monday 😠 Shows how much they care about their staff safety hey.
@@hiwall4883 No shit! That's weird. I just checked gov.uk. Says all non urgent appointments are cancelled. Oh well. Stay safe out there! Wherever you are...
@@shlamimk4664 Thanks, I'm in Australia, they are very strict here. We can request phone appointments if we are not feeling well.
I had to watch several times before I realised it wasn't a documentary about life in Covid-19 Britain. I thought so little has changed.
I think we all know why this video is being recommended in 2020. . .
Yes, bureaucracy is one of the last things to die. Well done.
This seems horribly well timed... I wasnt scared until I saw this!
@Smileyrie James obviously zombies are a metaphor for starving people who will eat anything, including you! Thanks for trying to put a positive spin on current events, though!
Daft enough to be funny, realistic enough to be worrying. Thanks for the upload. 👍
I loved that the same crowd was waiting for him at the end 🤣
I loved that she was still a bureaucrat moments after her demise.
it is very hard to tell a dead bureaucrat from a living one.
it is very hard to tell a dead bureaucrat from a living one.
This obviously fell through a wormhole from 2021.
Last Minute Productions needs to make a full length movie like this, this is the best zombie film I've ever seen, and I've been watching since I was about 6 years old. That's back when dirt was invented, this is better than anything George A. Romero made may he R.I.P., even better than Sean of the Dead, and I couldn't stop laughing when I watched that. Got to give 10 of 10 + 1.😀😆😂🤣😭
Definitely similar to employment agencies in my area. The feeling you're better off dead prevails.
Brilliant! As always, the Brits shine their legendary stiff upper lip humor onto the rest of the world, and we're glad for it. We need it! Loved every bit of it!! Thx.
Seems like a spiritual successor to Shawn of the Dead, great job!
Absolutely brilliant on every level - acerbic, witty and laugh out loud hilarious with a dose of twisted reality thrown in for good measure in a macabre way. Forget The Walking Dead - it’s The Walking Unemployable! Fantastic work guys and cheers! 👍😈🧟♀️⭐️
"I'm afraid we're sanctioning you, as you haven't filled the quota for applications."
"How am I meant to apply to 7 new job openings every week when the majority of business owners are dead?"
"Yeah, times are tough. You should have tried harder though."
My first job centre appointment after Coronavirus
Completely unrealistic - The DWP were nothing like this compassionate when they sanctioned me.
I was 10 minutes late (The maximum is 8 mins). Had to wait for 1.5 hours to be interrogated as to why I was late. I explained my boiler had broken down and I'd been without heat or hot water for 3 days whilst the heating engineer had been waiting for a part. He'd phoned that morning to say it had come in and he'd be round later so I'd had to stay in until he arrived and he'd been an hour late.
They asked why I hadn't phoned in and I explained I'd tried 6 times but just got a constant engaged tone. Apparently this wasn't good enough as other people had managed to get through. What kind of logic is that? So I was sanctioned two weeks job seekers allowance because they didn't have enough people manning their phone lines at a time when I'd just had to pay £200 for boiler repairs. I did ask if I could get any help with the costs from emergency funds but of course they'd all been used up long ago.
N.B. I don't really blame the DWP staff member as on previous visits two members of staff had told me they were given sanctioning targets each week and a third actually showed me an official memo confirming this. At the time they'd also been told that some of them would be made redundant and meeting sanctioning targets would be part of the criteria as to which of them would be laid off. All part of a caring Tory society.
You say you dont blame the DHS staff for their actions....but if tbey didnt comply this wouldn't happen...it just gives self important cunts a sense of worth....still...Corona virus might just get a few twats ....lets hope so....they are disgusting.
figures that when civilization falls apart, bureaucracies will still exist and likely thrive
This is like every job agency I've ever been to.
I just made a similar comment
Funny and also a bit depressing, my fav!
The actress did a great job. A bureaucrat to the last....
This should be getting millions of views.
It's so timely.
Update: Actually, too close to home....
Update Update: It's here. The Omicron Variant.
Something that sounds like a bad 1950's sci-fi film about a deadly virus, is real.
sooo this is how the world will look in April
no way ........its fine ..april?........may more like , be sensible...lol
Feels so good to laugh 😊😊 before we experience the real zombie apocalypse 2020
The filmmaker was obviously time traveling into the future for this documentary when they posted it Jan 2020.
Even during the apocalypse the bureaucracy still some how survived
"A post apocalyptic job center"
Job centers in times of corona: Can't relate
I don't see any major differences with my current situation. Are you sure this is post-apocaplytic film?
it is. the apocalypse has already happened. You are just behind with ne News.Probably because of bad Internetconnection. netzausbau, you know.
Just goes to show that you don't need a lot of fancy CGI to make a great short movie... oh, and a hilarious one too!
Now this needs to be a series!
Literally 2 months later:
This film is a reality
I would love to see this turning into a movie! Great job! Great acting, great scene, great editing, great props. Just nailed at everything!!!
This should be a TV series :)
You know, there’s something oddly satisfying about seeing an employment person becoming unemployable like that. Made me smile.
Inside - peace, quiet, food, booze & movies.
Outside - corona, chaos & zombies.
I complain not.....
Yes, this is an accurate portrayal of the benefits system. No zombies needed.
The 'zombies' are the drone-like citizens waiting in endless lines for benefits. That's my take anyway. 😜
Hmmm I was thinking of the DMV, guess we all see what we want to see..
I needed this. I've been so depressed i thought today was really going to finally push me over the edge. And then you, you perfect little gem, popped up in my recs. Thank you.
So glad it cheered you up! Stay safe and things will get better :)
Take care. A lot of people are going through what you are going through. A little laughter makes the day brighter :)
I watched it for third time laffing its perfect the background the actors priceless!
"You said their all dead!"
*WHACK*
"You said their ALL DEAD!!"
*THWACK*
😂🤣😂🤣
Well cool!!! All of it. The idea. The acting. The filming. Editing. All of it 👍
This doesn't seem any different than most job centers. They're pretty much useless with few exceptions.
Worth watching just to see that poster in the office "a pill a day keeps unemployment at bay".
All those "Unemployables" could have been avoided if they had only worn their masks and practiced social distancing.....
truth!!!!!
.......but they thought it was a government conspiracy.
This was hilarious, engrossing and finely acted! Absolutely loved it...wanted a full length film!
This really needs to be made into a movie so I can add it to my Zombie movie collection.
I love this character! I want to see more! Great film!
This is strikingly similar to my last job interview. It was so toxic! This short film deserves a sequel.
All we'll have to do is head into London and whip my phone camera out. Boom, filmmaking on a budget :D
Really funny, great concept. Loved it when Toby is reminded to use the respectibly correct term of "unemployable" instead of zombie. Immensely enjoyed this from start to finish. Thank you.
I don't see the difference between this and a real Job Center.
@@lisettelachat1870 Saying this to the kid who grew up on benefits despite mum's best efforts to get off them.
Take your hatred somewhere else and stop reading the Sun
I actually wouldn't mind seeing more of this, like a web series or something
The one thing that really shouldn't survive, survives a zombie Apocalypse: bureaucracy.
Yeah, seems realistic enough after watching the COVID19 debacle.
P45 toxin deployed!! hahahahaha - very enjoyable to watch. Well done! .... and perfect timing ...
That was fun! I feel like we're living that right now. LOL Good job to all the cast and crew.
Funny to have this come up in my recommendations ... now during 2020 pandemic
This was great! A bit disturbing right now though, the parallel to our current pandemic, as well as the dysfunction of the unemployment agencies, is resoundingly significant...
Tell me about it, I wanted to cry as he put on the plastic mask :-(
Just watched this the day after being layed off from work because of the corona virus. I am sure I will be back to work soon...
So sorry to hear that, I really hope things turn around soon.
Mass graves digging is a job... make sure they are all dead though
@@Ardvale so weird, sounds like something the female interviewer would say.
When I clicked the thumbnail I was expecting a bit of fictional comedic relief not the security footage of my last visit to the "unemployables" office.
Relevant film in current conditions !
the quintessential bureaucrat, her dying act was to finish the paperwork.
Man this sure hits differently now.
Tell me about it!
Yes doesn't it, before we would have laughed, now it all seems too real.
Fantastic acting, Perfect scripting, Brilliant Film, Thanks YT algorithm
I enjoyed being a part of this short film.
I thought I recognized you! You were the third zombie (uh, I mean unemployable) from the left!
This was freaking awesome, hilarious and great acting!! Omg I loved it!
love the capitalist take on the apocalypse, even after a zombie outbreak people are being valued by their ability to work
Excellent acting skills by both the interviewer and the interviewee.
youtube likes to keep us comfy with all of these great video recomendations
That’d totally be me if I were being chased by zombies! “Fuck- Fuck- Fuck-“ 🏃🏼♀️😂
But the bandit job sounds fun.
Now that was funny. One of the best shorts I have seen. Great acting. Unfortunately the DWP already behave like that.
Reminiscent of recent job centre interviews, so after an apocalypse it business as usual!
Absolutely a winner! Best sc-fi comedy I've seen lately! Kudos to both protagonists, and I hope the writer(s) publish more!.
Working on it!
They predicted the future quite quick 2020
Ahh nothing better than a zombie comedy in the midst of a pandemic 🤧😷☣😅😆😂
Really funny!! Mixes the bureaucratic and macabre perfectly. The young lady playing the employment counselor is a real gem. Again, great job as all of us navigate the toilet paper apocalypse!!! (Keep wiping!) 😊
So glad you enjoyed it!
The part where he went “FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK....”
I felt that.
Awesome. Sharing to my zombie enthusiast network. Both actors were great, loved her calm demeanor against his sense of desperation. Could see this being a Shaun of the Dead spin-off.
Awesome job guys! Really fun film the humor was great and the effects were as well. Keep it up!
Dear Algorithm, given the timing I say you have a dark sense of humour! Great to see Great acting in a short. If for future productions you need a worried-looking balding guy mid -40's who can currently cry on command you know where to find me. Stay safe 🇬🇧
RUclips's algorithm can be quite poetic, I'll give it that.
My goodness Toby's eyes are hypnotic!
And I could totally see Tisha being played by Jessica Hynes
