It's good to see a review after a year of use. Getting a "first impression" after one use is ok, but it always leaves you wondering if it will hold up. Good review, thanks.
Have a couple of the Okuma Ceymar C10's myself. Strung up with 4lb test they are awesome. My favorite go to with an 6 ft ultralight rod for creek fishing. Catch panfish and 1-2 lb Smallmouth all day , just a very smooth and great performing reel at more than a reasonable price. I can buy 4-5 of them for the price of Shimano Stratic or Diawa BG MQ...
Definitely man for the price you can buy a bunch of these things..They hold up well in there really Or a really good ultralight real
Just bought a C-20 a few days ago. It's sweet to see a 1 year review for this reel. Found your channel while researching the reel and watched your video from early last year. Can't wait to put some mileage on mine confident it will make the trips!

Best value rod to pair them with? Daiwa Laguna XT. This combo is under $100 and it will last you for years and years.

I got the the c20& c30, Love them both. I use the c20 on a 6ft medium light BnM dock shooter rod. I use the c30 on a Pennacle 8ft medium light jig rod. They handle great with no problems. I panfish with them both.

Yeah I am totally agree with you, I got two of them and they worth every penny, and today I got another one delivered. They are very smooth and feel expensive and high end,

I have the C 10 and C 30. I agree, they are outstanding performers especially considering price point. My first Okuma products of any sort and am very impressed with quality of materials and fit of parts.

What kind of cold weather Fishing Clothing?....But yeah you're exactly right they worked really well they're made with decent materials and for the price you can't beat it
@@BASSNGRASS start with what gets cold and wet. Gloves and boots I guess. I have medical issues with mine so I'm always trying new Stuff to stay out longer.
I don't think there is a silver bullet with this...but it would be a different product review and we all have to prep right to be out there long...just an idea...
Got the 30 and the 10. 30 casts well but can’t seem to get distance out of the 10 with 6 lb braid . Any suggestions?
Without watching the video - I can tell you it’s a GREAT reel! It does NOT get any better for the price!!

Awesome! I just picked up the C-30. I grabbed the 30 mainly to be more versatile for types of fish. I really really wish I watched this video first. I paid 54 for mine :(
That’s about right there on the price..Depending on the time of year it is they will drop in the winter they’re cheaper

I use a C10 myself on my ultralight! I want to order a C20 for finesse and some C55 for some catfish and paddlefish snagging
Yeah I'm gonna order a few more c-20s And might get a couple for cat fishing as well that's a good idea

Bought the C-10 thinking it was around the size of a Shimano or Diawa 1000 it’s not really small more like a 500. Gonna have to throw it on my sons 5’ rod cause it’s to small for my 7’2” rod I use.
Okuma c20 is the one for size 1000 like shimano and daiwa, both have same drag power 3kg but different spool size

I have the C20, the best reel I have ever owned. For 50 bucks , this is the best reel you can buy.....period. I purchased another one just as a backup. With all due respect to Shimano and all the other overpriced reels out there, Okuma beats them all.
Just got the c -30 and the c-10 . The 30 cast great . The 10 I put ultracast braid in 6lb but did not like the distance . Maybe wrong line . I will try spro braid next and see if it makes a difference . Overall like the reels.
any update on this ? Waiting for my reel to be delivered soon

Great video! Can I use the c30 with 4lb test for trout? Just get some more line on the reel? Or do I need to go with the c20 ?
I mean, you could definitely use it, but I think c20 would be a better option.. smaller reel but you could definitely use the c30.. but I think it would just be too much reel

I believe it will make a really good reel for that.. But not 100% sure because I've never done ice fishing.. It's a really good reel and it's affordable you should give a go

Have you had issues with other reels not lasting? Just for comparison sake?
Only have one of their level winds. I am pretty partial to the MH Abu Garcia MLF rods and reels in 30 series spinning, then the Abu Vengeance Heavy casting rod with the Abu Black Max. Got some other Abu stuff that I am not real happy with but the ones I mentioned I really like. I would like to try the Abu Veritas in MH, and they feel good but 100 bucks for a rod seems like a lot for this low budget boy.
Yeah the Veritas are decent rods..They're pretty darn durable I give them that I've had a few for several years...I appreciate you for watching my video and commenting :)
@@BASSNGRASS Absolutely. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. Nice to have someone local to watch and learn from. 25 years ago I used to go fishing all the time, in the summer anyways. I would literally work from 11pm to 7am, go fish from 7am to 9am, go home and take a nap, be back at the lake by 6pm and fish until 9pm, go home and shower and go back to work and repeat the cycle. I had my finger on the pulse of the lower Hiwassee back then and used to do really good and had confidence to go with it. If I catch 3 fish a trip I feel I am doing good now as opposed to back then I might catch 10 to 20 bass per trip. I don't know if it's the fish or me nowadays, but I suspect it is me. I don't know if I need to switch back to lures I used back then or what. Hope I can get my finger back on the pulse again. Seems everyone I know, especially the tournament guys still put in on the Hiwassee, but run down to Chickamauga to fish then run back for the weigh in. Maybe I just need to fish the chick instead.
I bought mine like few months back is it normal to have some movements on the bail arm ?
Too bad about the plastic gears in the handle, if they had been metal this would be a 9/10 reel and not a 6 or 7 out of 10.

No I don’t think so
What rod do you prefer with this reel?
If you’re going with the ultra reel…I would go with a TFO pan fish and Trout rod…It’s a very good ultralight rod
