Thank you for the tour of the Banana Republic Factory Outlet. I love the linen dress and the camel leather belt, plus the shoes. The shorts are great, too. I loved Banana Republic when it first opened as one, privately owned boutique in upscale and quaint Mill Valley, California in the 1980s. The boutique was a two-story building on a side street, adorable place with mostly military surplus items that were actually chic, canteens, and even Ready-to-Eat meals from the military! They specialized in travel clothing, too. They used to publish the most exquisite little catalogs that you can now find on Ebay.

Great line-up Marie-Anne! & I will definitely be keeping the chino pant's in mind as I am finding myself embracing some neutral colors in my style journey, I have already added a sweater, & a few different style tops & a purse in cream & tan colors that they would go so well with. I also will be keeping my eye out for the blush espadrilles & my fav tip was to wear mules with the shorts, a much nicer elevated look than tennis shoes or flip flops! So I will be on the look out for a pair or 2 of mules also. Thanks Marie-Anne!

The classic styles you and I love don’t always work well for someone who is short waisted with large bust, short waist, and an hourglass shape. 😢. And these stores create clothes for tall women with small busts.

I have been doing quite a bit of shopping at Banana Republic Factory to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe. The clothing is quality and they do have many pieces suitable for a neutral based capsule wardrobe. The sales are excellent. I wish more retailers would provide discounts like these. I know that retailers probably already have warehouses full of fall merchandise on deck so they really should be having more sales to clear out their spring and summer merchandise, but they’re trying to get every penny they can out of shoppers. Shame on them!
Katherine they stick to basics and they seem to attend to the cut, seams and buttons where other retailers cut. As someone 5 10 and inverted V this place is a godsend
I just got the black dress, it’s very nice quality for the price, fully lined with cotton. It has a self belt and is simple and chic. The front split neck is very low on us shorter women, though, I will have to figure out something to wear under it for modesty.

I bought some Malibu t-shirts and knits off this site about 6 years ago and I still wear some of them.
Love the BR clothes and almost got there last week, but I had to cancel my trip to Halifax and the Van Gogh exhibit because I had two pet emergencies. Not good outcomes and I was too shattered to travel. I will try again later on. Liked the suggestions!

I love the bright colors, but they don't look good on me. You can't see me. My coloring is muted and soft. It's so very hard to find colors that bring out my qualities without overwhelming me. Wearing neutrals is fine and I like it, but at times I find it really boring and need a pop of color...OHHH how aggravating, Mary-Anne!! How do I find that POP! When the very pop I want is drowning me out??!?!

Hi lovely lady Anne-Marie. Our weather over here in uk changes in the blink of an eye ! There i was about to get a warm raincoat with faux fur hood (which i love) the one i like is a dark khaki, which looks respectable....., then weve just had warm, blazing sunshine. Now torrential rain forecast. I'm trying to replace a grotty old coat. Also, I do rely on a thin, packable shell jacket which urgently needs to go in the bin. Its dark green, i hate it now. So what colour to replace it with ? Has to be neutral. Not hot pink, red, bright blue. Non ! Greys, grey/blue perhaps. Hmm.🧡🌱💜😖

I shop BR petite all the time but not the factory BR I don't think the quality is as good.
I hate shorts where the pockets are hanging down below the pant leg.
