Thank you for this video. I used to buy $500 dollar suits for my jazz gigs and when my current one got too old I decided to give the Uniqlo suit a go because of your recommendation. Amazing ! Perfect fit, so easy to keep clean, always looks like you just ironed it... Just incredible. It's not the fanciest but it looks so professional. More people should know about them. And also: I can dance like crazy in it !! :D
I used to buy designer brands like Prado when they first started making slimmer suits and and jackets. But now with faster fashion brands making the same cuts at a fraction of the cost, I feel I’m just as happy with brands like Uniqlo. I just got a used Uniqlo slim fit blazer off eBay and it fits me perfect and it’s like 70% wool. So I’m gonna another Uniqlo new slim fit Uniqlo off eBay that like 98% wool to match the same material pants I have already and hopefully make a suit. I prefer getting higher wool content vs an all polyester if possible from these fast fashion brands to hopefully have something that will last longer.
That’s a fair point about shooting for wool, I definitely agree but I live the everyday wear durability of polyester. It’s also so much easier to care for so, in my case, when I am trying to slim my wardrobe down to a few key pieces, I choose polyester.
Would you recommend these for every season or only for the warmer seasons as I was wondering if Uniqlo have me covered for the winter? What other pairs would you recommend from them
In all honesty I wear mine all year around, especially since I work mostly indoors so I don’t need to be super warm all the time. I do know that they make heat tech dress pants when the colder season rolls around though!
Great video. I rarely wear suit jackets but something like this does seem nice to do buisness casual stuff when I have meetings with other scientists from other departments of the labs. Would you say this fills that need? Padded jackets do me are just way more uncomfortable.
100% fills that need for me. This is the suit I’ll wear on any day and can dress up with a shirt tie and nice dress shoes, or dress down with a knit top and more casual shoes. Let me know if you end up purchasing I’d love to know how it works out for you!

I was told by their CS That the only difference is in marketing, in the sense that last year’s collection was marked as “Ultra light”, but this years collection is called “AirSense”. But they confirmed that the fabric is exactly the same. Can I ask what’s the colour of the Uniqlo suit you’re wearing in this video? 😊
Hey! Yeah if you don't wear suits often then it makes sense to go with a cheaper option like this. But not only will you get a lower price, you will still get a good quality suit. If you end up getting it, let me know what you think!

No problem! for reference, the grey pair and black pair of pants in the video are the same, the grey are 32 waist and a bit more loose fitting than the black ones, which are 30 waist and still fit loose but a bit more fitted. Happy to help!@@gerathy7292
You said you brought your pants to have it hemmed, but doesn't Uniqlo offer hemming services? Also, what size jacket did you buy? And what are your measurements (height, weight, etc). Thanks.
You are correct! They do have a hemming service but I bought these online and had them tailored at a local tailor to make sure they were hitting at the right spot. As for the jacket, I wear a size medium I’m 5’8” ~165 lbs and it fits great everywhere except for the sleeves a lil long as mentioned. Thanks for tapping in!
Good to know they do hemming. But what if you didn’t buy it from Uniqlo, but it’s Uniqlo brand? I think they still have a store and I’ll have to look into. Some Tailors don’t know the current styles and I hate telling them what o want and they usually say something like that’s too short. Hopefully the tailor at Uniqlo will know right off on how long the pants should be.
Hey! It does not have lining except on the front panels and definitely does not wrinkle that much. I haven’t put it to the test to much except for throwing it in my backpack a couple times and am easily able to pull it out and toss it on with no wrinkles.
Uniqlo *is* a fast fashion company. Also, their proclaimed merinowool is (at least for the most part) synthetic. They lie on their labels, just like Shein does, and even Intimissimi lies on their labels of many items. I’m fed up with it, because I now basically payed a high price for synthetic and unhealthy trash.
Interesting, can you share any sources for this? I’ve definitely dug into them a bit both in college and outside research and this is the first time I’m hearing of this. Looking forward to hearing back!

Do these pants fit like a slim - straight fit pair or do they look skinny?
They are slim straight with a bit of taper, but not skinny.
