@FSK1138 because i own the kaossilator and i used to have the kaoss pad 2...great unit but i found it had plenty of things i never used. this seems more basic, and more suitable for my purposes. i have plans to connect it to my prophet vs and see what it does with wave sequencig. i plan to connect a guitar and use it in conjuntction with pedals. the fact the im 35 , does not mean i cant have new toys, right?
after 25 years of using computers in some way or another to make music... im fed up!!! thanks korg, for making something that does not require a fucking computer.
What are the reverbs on this like, and are the effects pre or post fader? I want to use it to add effects to my dj mixer, would it be a good idea or not?
@rpsxnu YES! I am With you. I own 4 Kaossilator Pro's, with hopes of meeting Electrician that can Gut these things and put them all together!! Anyone in LA? I got $ hahaha. The MIDI is a MUST. A Advantage of the K pads is that you can use one of them and control for example any ableton effect, drag and drop, now the K pad controls the effect on its X/Y axis. BRILLIANT, right. I STILL CANT GET them TO WORK. I own The Zero 8 and The KM 402 and 4 Minis. but alll getting sold ASAP.
@rpsxnu Korg have completely dropped MIDI because they cant make it work properly. They figured it'd be best to forego the embarrassment in silence. Ask yourself when they last launched a new unit with MIDI that worked? (the SD-Electribes are 2003-reissues, so they count as year 2003)... Also, should they ever make anything even close to what you're requesting, it's just gonna be turned into a colorful plastic MP3 player with no proper connections and no real use - beyond "toys for 6 year olds".

The original Korg KP Mini was a 24bit / 48 KHz dynamic processor, and the KP Mini 2 is a dynamic processor + MP3 player + SD recorder
