Can't speak to the electric range as it is fairly average in alignment with other competitors but the fuel tank is a lot bigger (60L) versus its competitors such as Kuga/Tucson/Tiguan which often have a smaller tank (40 ish litres) on the PHEV variant as the battery consumes fuel tank space. So this will have an overall much higher range on petrol alone

The engine only runs the generator and charges the battery and it stays in electric drive, if you drive normally and don’t go punching the accelerator. If you leave it in its normal smart drive mode the gas motor only comes in to assist the electric drive motors under heavy acceleration. Other wise it only charges the battery back to 100%. People who don't like being blathered to death care - sitting on Polyurethane or Polyvinyl Chloride seat covers doesn't quite have the same ring to it as leather, does it?
