Watching this again and I wonder if the foldable fin box creates a noticeable amount of extra drag since there isn't a continuous line along the box. There must a be some drag... but is it enough to worry about?
It can get stuck sometimes, especially if the water is cold or outside temperature is cold as the fin box stiffens. Using a towel or piece of clothing on the fin and hitting it this way is advised. Thanks
Thank you! I'll give it a try. The board is brand new so I'm hoping the fin box will ease up a bit? Might changing to a US style fin help too?@@SUPboardermag
After some more use it's become very easy to put in and out. My question now is about other Quick Fix fins, eg. river fin, touring, etc. Can't fin any beyond the one multi purpose that came with the board. Sandbanks Style now use the some fin box, but still only the one fin is available. Any ideas on where to look?
Hi guys, Shark SUP quick fix fin does not match the SUP. The fix does not allow to push the fin down as there is no path. How can i get the detailed support please?
Hey Madi, What board brand is it? (Shark sell this fin box to other brands too) If Shark, have you contacted them? Let us know and we can maybe forward this message over to them if not. Lets see if we can get you on the water! Thanks Reuben
You can do this. You need to be very careful when removing the old fin box obviously not to damage your board. But as long as you get a new PVC patch which goes around the new fin box and the board is clean and dry it is possible to change your fin box. Hope that helps Reuben

Interesting point. There would be more drag, but I don't think it would be enough to worry about.
I've found it really difficult to get out. It just gets totally stuck. Had to bring it home and use a rubber hammer today! Any tips please?

After using it now 5-6 times the fin box has eased up and the fin goes in and out much easier. @@SUPboardermag

Ok lets see what happens.
I have just purchased a shark as my first board and found it hard to get it in and out, I guess I am a noobie to the whole paddle boarding front
I find it hard too! Had to bring it home and use a rubber hammer!
