I remember watching NFL Primetime during the '09 season, and Trey Wingo called those Broncos throwbacks: "UPS meets the court jester" and I've stuck to that ever since.
When I was a kid watching football with my grandpa and the Arizona Cardinals came out in those black uniforms I spent almost a whole 1st quarter trying to fix the settings on my TV because I thought something was wrong with the colors
The Rams are only gonna wear the bone uniforms two times this season (which they already did three weeks into the season to get it over with) . Seriously I still don't know what they were thinking when they made those, now they're starting to realize what an atrocity it is.
@@Bullboy_Adventures i didnt even know it was a different shade of white. Still, the LA bone jersey just looks like that one white shirt someones constantly wears until its grey from all the grime its picked up over the years
The Bucs actually do have Orange on their red jerseys. It's on the number outline. So yes, they've had success with orange on their jersey. I'm just not a fan of the modern uniform redesigns. Lions, Dolphins, Rams, etc. Though I like the more realistic Dolphin logo, the first time I saw their current jersey, I thought they just found an old Griese/Shula Era jersey, threw them in the washing machine a hundred times, and then went with it. Everything just looks washed out these days.
Agreed on all of the Commanders' uniforms. They should bring back either the 1962-68 home and road jerseys, pants, and socks, or their 1969-78 jerseys, pants, and socks.
As a Seahawks fan, I have to say the color rush uniforms are WAY worse than the green and blue ones you mentioned. The all neon green is just blinding.
I can't stand either of them. Wish we would shelve them since we have the throwback now. I know the Wolf Grey got shelved but I would put them both away and just use the throwback for the alternate.
As a diehard Steelers fan, I absolutely HATED the Bumblebee uniforms. So happy that they got rid of them. In my opinion, the block numbers are their best throwback uniform
I hate the all reds for the Chiefs as well... it isn't a coincidence they either lose, or woefully underperform against lesser opponents when they wear them.
So glad you touched on the Dolphins color rush uniforms. As a Phins fan, I was really excited when it was announced that they’d be brining back the orange jerseys. I really liked the orange alternates back in the day. Then I turned on the game and saw the new ones… and immediately wished I’d never been born with the gift of sight.
Mono-color very rarely works out well unless it's a simple darker color like black or blue, and even then it usually looks like a silly superhero costume. The Fins' orange jerseys would be fine if they paired them with their normal white pants but orange-on-orange is just hideous. I long for the day when NFL ditches the Color Rush gimmick. Keep the garish jerseys for marketing purposes if you must but please stop with the matching pants; it's not like those are even on sale to the general public.
@@bobsnow6242 even with white pants, I think the color rush uniforms were just too bright of a shade of orange. I’m not big on the creamsicle shade of orange but that might just be me. That said, I do agree that super bright/vibrant colors don’t look good as the full uniform color. They need to be offset with white or black in order to avoid being an eye color. Only exception I can think of off the top of my head are the Ravens color rush uniforms, but even then it’s just because I think the jerseys with the gold numbers are fucking beautiful. They’d probably look even better with white or black pants
In 1979, the Chargers played the Rams at the L.A. Coliseum. San Diego wore their blue jerseys and Rams white. The teams colors and schemes were so identical that it looked like a scrimmage game!
I remember reading the NFL 75th Anniversary book about the Broncos first uniforms and the bonfire that took place. I couldn't believe those socks made a comeback!!
The "fade" jersey into pants look actually works ok for some college teams, kinda like the color-block deal, but it depends on the color scheme. It just sucks with some team colors. I know it's racist in it's origins, but I miss the old Redskins.

Old gold has always been a secondary color. Just not good as a primary as seen here. At least, to my recollection, they only wore those horrible pants once in the last home game of 2015 vs Kansas City. I was at the game and was like WTF when I saw those.
Wholeheartedly disagree with the Carolina Panthers Color Rush being their worst. It's honestly one of the best of the Color Rush unis simply because it's not an eyesore.

I mostly agree with you with some of these absolutely tragic uniforms. However for some reason I really like the Ravens mustard color pants. Yes I know they are brutally ugly but I just like them. I also liked the Air Coryall Era Chargers uniforms. Maybe because that's when I first saw them. Absolutely the powder blues are better but I like those Fouts era uniforms. I did know the Raiders wore black & gold. Glad they switched. I miss Pat the Patriot.
The Commanders should have been called The Redhogs since it would tie into the history of the team plus they could have made a WAY better logo than the W.
Great video and very funny 🤣, especially the Padres comment. I like the Packers, Eagles, and Bills throwbacks. Agree completely on Steelers, Browns, Broncos, Commanders, all gray, and Saints. I’m glad my friend shared this video with me.
As a Vikings fan since birth.. at first I was offended by what u said but had to agree as I thought about it. Also I would love some day if we could throw the viking on our helmet, I love the horns but it would be cool to see even if only for a game or 2 just something I've wanted to see.
I think the uniform the Chargers wore in their inaugural 1960 season is the worst. It was a powder blue look, but the colors of the bolts on the shoulders and helmet looked too distracting for me. There's a reason why they only used the blue bolt only lasted for two seasons.
I like the 1968-80 Bengals' uniforms (with their current helmets) and the Chargers' 1974-84 royal blue-and-gold uniforms (true, not as cool as their powder blues), and the early 2000 Giants' road uniforms were okay. But I agree with you on all the other uniforms you mentioned and showed.
@@danboliaris7780 The reason for that was because Paul Brown, who was fired by Browns' then-new owner Art Modell in the early '60s after having been their original coach from their beginning in 1946, was hired by the first-year AFL expansion Bengals in 1968 to be their head coach, and Brown designed the Bengals' helmets and uniforms to closely resemble the Browns.
Not sure why this populated my feed. But, as a Saints fan, this one is correct and immediately came to mind. You know it’s bad one time wearing something can be so immediately recalled.
Chargers Air Coryell is a classic uniform. No way are they the worst. Their worst is the dark navy crap the Spanos brought in when they bought the team.
I agree with you all the way about the navy blue. And the Air Coryell-era uniforms were cool (I'm still partial to the powder blues with white helmets myself).

I agree with you. Granted, I really don't like some of those throwback pants. I mean, sometimes colors just work different when you have a different shape of pants. Flesh colored tight pants is a noooooo... I like your team in black & red too, but I could have swore the numbers were outlined in gold? I am amazed he like our highlighter jerseys... TBH I love the Texans color rush jerseys. The red lettering on the blue pops well. Just a shame we don't have access to the Oilers name and uniforms because the Adams family are jerks to the city of Houston.
And the reason the Texans didn't use the red unis as the Color Rush outfit? $$$$$$. They wanted new jerseys to sell. The NFL retired the Oilers name after the team changed to the Titans.
I'm pretty sure that was the inspiration. Somehow, it just doesn't work the same.... Oh well🤷♀️ I am glad they decided to pair the highlighter shirt with dark pants recently though.
The Seahawks' original royal blue, darker green, and silver uniforms were their best. Especially when all the players wore black shoes with them from 1976-79.
You can now add the Arizona Cardinals' new 2023 uniforms to this list. They kept the numerical font they've worn since the mid-2000s, and will be wearing all-black and all-red uniforms that are basically ripoffs of the current Atlanta Falcons' uniforms. And their road uniforms (all-white) are just bland; not nearly as good as the ones from the 1960s-80s.
Not to mention that the black and red Niners jerseys are trying to be the Raiders, but they’re nothing more than the stupid shirts that made it difficult to read and see.
I grew up and still am a Bengals fan and I've always HATED the Browns rip off look but so many people here want the Bengals to wear them as throwbacks and I never understood why lol.
As a cowboys fan, I love the color rushes and dislike our default white uniforms, because the color rush uses actual cowboys blue whole out regular whites use some weird royal blue that clashes with the navy blue star on the helmet
Still down to get rid of the Commander-skins Football Team. I wish they would have just left them as the Football Team. The name being so overly stupid people actually warmed up to it. Now it sounds generic in the sense that it doesn’t even feel like a pro team, more like one of the bad generic names you see in old games like Blitz the League. Hell I know people that now have the canceled Washington jersey, Washington Football Team jersey, and Washington Commanders jersey. Shit is crazy and almost like a weird money making scheme. Meanwhile Cleveland baseball rebranded masterfully. Chief Wahoo was always kinda weird to me and they scratched him out while looking to change which made for a really boring block C. Then they released the new Guardians look and damn is it sharp. New C, clean logos, and a well thought out name change that directly ties to the city lore. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Cleveland baseball rebranding but I’m all for it now, love their new gear and not even a fan of the team.
Seahawks 2009 green uniform was to commemorate the inaugural season for the Sounders soccer team who wear that color green jersey. It's not because we are hipsters... not all of us anyway.
Let's face it Nike sucks with uniforms. Not just the NFL but MLB too. Seen the City Connect unis? Out of the 30 teams I think 5 teams have decent CC umis. I think the hire psychopath uni designers and make them sit in dark, blacklight lit rooms watching hours of video of multi-color paints dripping onto to white csnvas and then let them out to design new unis for the NFL and MLB :-)) :-D :-D Can't leave well enough alone...
You don't know the Packers true worst uniform. In the 50s, just before Lombardi, there was a time when they wore all white uniforms including helmets and pants with blue piping that made them look too much like the Colts
17:05 I will say this: practically everyone on Sports Talk Radio in New England loves the 1990’s uniforms. They also hate the current blueberry home jerseys.
Patriots 90’s are awesome. With their color scheme, they haven’t really ever had “bad” jerseys. Their current ones or very first 60’s ones were worse than 90’s.
Completely disagree with you on the Lions color rush, Rams bone uniforms, and Commanders black uniforms. But especially the Lions and Rams. They're some of my current favorite uniforms.
I did not care much for the uniforms which the San Francisco 49ers wore from 1996 to 2008 (with the darker cardinal red and metallic gold colour scheme).
I think the Air Coryell uniforms weren't terrible, but I think the older 1960s uniforms with the number on the helmet they donned look out of place, especially with the lightning bolt as fighting for space.
I honestly disagree with the Rams pick mainly cause the 2017 uniforms that have the navy blue and gold jersey from the St Louis Rams days with a helmet with a white horn instead of gold are way worse just for how mismatched they look. Even the Rams knew those looked bad as they only wore it during two road games and then afterwords ditched them for the yellow and blue throwbacks until their rebrand in 2020
In that 2017 season they wore those jerseys for games at Dallas and Jacksonville, yes the white horn Rams helmets didn't look so good with those jerseys, in 2019 they had 2 helmets one with the gold, or I should say yellow and one with the white horns
Someone from Baltimore here, the gold pants for the Ravens is still more appealing to me than the horrible debut uniforms and logo we used. They looked bush league.

The Blue Packers Jerseys look tight!
I like the Vikings one and the Saints one, the Pats and Bills are pretty good too
Still down to get rid of the Commander-skins Football Team.
I think the hire psychopath uni designers and make them sit in dark, blacklight lit rooms watching hours of video of multi-color paints dripping onto to white csnvas and then let them out to design new unis for the NFL and MLB :-)) :-D :-D Can't leave well enough alone...
the steelers always sport the logo on one side of there helmets throwback or not
I know the story, at the time that logo was first used the equipment manager was lazy, he only felt like putting one on one side
You don't know the Packers true worst uniform.
In the 50s, just before Lombardi, there was a time when they wore all white uniforms including helmets and pants with blue piping that made them look too much like the Colts
How can you dislike the lions uniforms but like the giants uniforms i get not likeing there current jerseys but there previous jerseys were great
I'd like to go find the teacher that said "There is no bad opinions" and show them this video
Wearing the Steelers striped uniforms, I'd be worried that bloodhounds are on my trail.
Yeah dude those Viking jerseys totally bring back the Favre years lol
17:05 I will say this: practically everyone on Sports Talk Radio in New England loves the 1990’s uniforms. They also hate the current blueberry home jerseys.
Yeah I always wished they’d kept the 90s design.
I can't stand the 1990s design. It would be cool to see it return as a one-time alternate though.
I prefer their 1973-83 uniforms myself.
I liked the vertical stripes. The shoulder logos were way too big.
That 94 bears throw backs are badass idk what you're talking about
1994 Bears throwbacks, yup 👍 throw them back!! 😂
I know you probably couldn’t do every single college team, but maybe like a top 25 worst college uniforms?
I’m planning on doing college teams by conference to make it easy on myself.
That would be anything Oregon wears
Bro wdym, the lions grey uniform is so fucking good
And the falcons uniform change in 2020 is super cool, so many L takes
when has it ever not been Dan *Snyder*
Snyder, every body hates the guy but spell his name right
Patriots 90’s are awesome. With their color scheme, they haven’t really ever had “bad” jerseys. Their current ones or very first 60’s ones were worse than 90’s.
I don't like the flying Elvis logo uniforms. Definitely a Patrick Patriot fan (red jersey)
The Broncos actually burned their original brown and gold uniforms when they changed to orange and blue.
When all the 2023 WBC jerseys come out would love to see you rank them all if that’s possible 👍🏻
Don't you DARE insult the black Lions jersey, they were badass
The 'bumblee' Steelers throwback looked like a prison uniform.
State Penn ( not Penn State)
The Raiders critique was accurate. Silver + Black, stir in some white. Done.

3:53 🎶 Roll outta bed, get screwed again 🎶
I think the Air Coryell uniforms weren't terrible, but I think the older 1960s uniforms with the number on the helmet they donned look out of place, especially with the lightning bolt as fighting for space.
This gets a thumbs up from me simply for referencing the Toronto Argonauts.
The lions color rush is not ugly at all
I honestly disagree with the Rams pick mainly cause the 2017 uniforms that have the navy blue and gold jersey from the St Louis Rams days with a helmet with a white horn instead of gold are way worse just for how mismatched they look.
The entire rebrand is disgusting. Unnecessary and horrible.
Someone from Baltimore here, the gold pants for the Ravens is still more appealing to me than the horrible debut uniforms and logo we used. They looked bush league.
The Ravens' original (1996) uniforms and logo were quite ugly.
The Ravens wore gold pants for one game in 2015, then they were gone for good
