I keep getting advertisements from apps that talk about how RUclips guitar lessons are not a good way to learn guitar and how most of the lessons You find online are bad. What are they smoking.
Idk...but they are full of shit!!! They just say that so you will download their app. I started playing back around 2005. I'm not sure, but I don't think RUclips existed back then. I played for maybe 2 years and I stopped playing, and I just picked it back up maybe 6 months ago, and I have learned more in the past 6 months from teachers on RUclips than I learned in 2 years without it. I'll watch several different teachers lessons on the same song just to get different variations of that song. I take what I like and what I don't like, and I'll kinda make my own version of it. I only watch a few different teachers, usually depending on what kind of music the song I'm wanting to learn is. I like a lot of different kinds of music. Everything from Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam and System of a Down, to Hank Williams jr and Johnny Cash...and even Alanis Morissette and Jewel. You may already watch these teachers, but the ones I like are (Lee john blackmore, Guitarzero2hero, Ryan Lendt, Guitarlessons365song, and Countrysongteacher.)
No doubt...my first time learning to play was when I was 9...at age 12 I got more into...well...you know 😊 and hip hop...I feel a very strong yearning for picking the guitar back up and see what I can still do🥰🥰 all these tutorials got me super excited to learn lots more of my favorite songs...as of right now I mostly know Metallica 🤘🔥🔥🎶🎵🎶🎵🎸🎸🎸🎸HERE WE GO😬😬😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏

The trap of youtube guitar lessons is it can be hard to progress as a well rounded player without that guidance of WHAT to learn. I find both methods very beneficial and use both youtube and actual lessons

Thank you for this lesson. Great explanation. The only thing I had to struggle with was that you're sometimes picking the strings from the bottom and sometimes from the top so I can't distinguish so easy which string you just picked. But I love this video anyway. With this you taught me how to play my very first song on the guitar :D

Great lesson. I found the intro and verse easier than the chorus. Mostly cause I neglected practicing pinky pull offs while fretting a D major. Funny thats what halts my progress and not the string skipping arpeggios lol.
Do it with the dsus2 but once you get to the part where you fret with your middle, just barre across the 3 strings with the finger you use to fret the A on the G string while keeping your ring finger down on the B Then do the hammer and pull offs with your 1st and second finger if that makes sense. That’s how Chris( the rhythm guitarist) usually does it. I find it easier.
Trying to learn it hard…I am a beginner… Now got little bit playing…. And have watched your this video almost thousand times seeking back and forth 😅 and in that process it’s helping me learn my first barre chord 😬
Excellent lesson! I will say though that the part where moving from the 5th string to the 1st and 2nd can almost be done completely with pull offs. just my .02. again great lesson!

Hey! im kinda confused at 9:30 you say we put off the pinky at the intro, but, i watched it again ( the intro part ) and we never put off the pinky, just only the middle finger. or did i miss something? great video by the way, the last i've learned here is ed sheeran - galway girl. im really really glad to find you lessons they are amazing and mostly easy to understand and learn. :))) keep it up please! :)
