I wouldn't trust any reviews from the manufacturer website. Some companies are notorious for deleting all negative reviews. That's why this channel is so important. It lets us THE PEOPLE get an unbiased rating of some of these interesting foods
Touch grass
Lmao what company would ever give themselves less than a 5? I've seen some with a 4-4.5 but NEVER have I seen a company under 4. Imagine rating your work as a 2/5? Nobody would want it hahaha you'd be hurting yourself.
@@wombat5252 If they were all 5 stars that would be way too transparent. You have to think like these people do. If there's some 4.5 or 4.7 ratings, it lets the consumer think the review is being more 'honest'
@@i_used_adblock_to_watch_this says the guy with no likes on his comment 😬
@@ThommyofThenn Exactly. That's why it's worth using Google ratings or ratings from forums or from other outlets that sell the product like Amazon for example.
I love these things, they just have an oddly tasty flavor; probably helps I am usually drunk when I eat them.
Can we just pay respects to Ms WolfePit and all she does for the channel?
and his daughter!!! they do so much seem like such sweet people

Are you trying to say that those are not
Mr. WolfePit's nails??
Im pretty sure she's keeping him alive 👍🤘🙏
Wanted to say you that you indirectly saved my life making me curious about carnivore diet felt miserable my last 10 years of my life until one of your carnivore diet videos clicked in something and I’m on carnivore for over 2 weeks now and wow just wanted to thank you for that
These all look pretty good. You’ve been crankin’ out some copious quantities of videos lately Larry. Thank you!
12:00 , wait, you've always been saying "formed"????🤣🤣I always thought you were saying "four meat slurry concoction," 😂😂😂😂😂that's why I always laughed so much every time you said it. But to be honest, they could be using 4 different types of meats in these we'd never truly know 🤣
Another good one Larry! Hope you're doing well brother! I remember these la choy kits on the shelf in the 70's, always thought they were a treat for dinner
My father would buy those La choy dinners and bring them home. Being a dumb kid of 11 or so, I thought they were good. My mother hated them and said they were "like a slap in the face." Now I agree with her!
I remember the 2-can La Choy options...One big can with the veggies...the small can with whatever meat&gravy...with a can of chow mein noodles....we were good to go....way back in my day
Speaking of the General, your recipe/video for the sauce is some of the best I've ever had. I still make it.
Costco has a good frozen orange chicken. And you get a lot of it. Definitely can feed a family for a couple of days and even more if you don't have a family.
Yeah but Costco's products like BJ's or Sam's Club are LOADED with crap and have INSANE amounts of sodium. I love the stores but be careful of their frozen foods. Most sodium content I've ever seen in frozen foods and 99% of their food is loaded. way WAY more than La Choy for example like in this video.
trader joes ones are much better. more meat to breading ratio and sauce is more orange tasting. very reasonably priced. easily enough for 3-4 servings or persons
I like Costco orange chicken
Should have gone crazy and tried mixing all three sauces together.
Exactly! "Suicide Chicken!"
Thanks for your review. After watching this, I wish La Choy would offer their sauces alone and we could add our own chicken. I don't really want to buy or eat mushmeat.... Lol
La choy does sell sauces.
I'm really hoping you can get a hold of Guy Gieri or Gordon Ramsey's frozen meals! I haven't seen them but I must hear from authority himself how they are!
Sad thing is. it's crap food. All they are doing is putting there name on crap frozen food. Walmart sells them for $6.00 bucks for all of them. I have already seen the Goron Ramsey and Guy Gieri ones. You get very little frozen food for $6.00 .. total waste of money ..
Another good Asian Inspired item are Tai-Pei Potstickers. I love them and they always cook up very well. I usually find them here at my local Wal-Mart. You might want to give them a try if you enjoy pot stickers.
I don't think I've ever tried Tai-Pei potstickers but their rice based, single serving, products are awful. I won't even buy them when they are on sale.
@@KurtisRader yea their egg rolls are not great either, but the pot stickers are better than some I've had in restaurants, and the included sauce is just right
i make those pot stickers with a 90 second rice pouch and some frozen stir fry veg, all microwaved for a quick and easy dinner.
Thanks for the tips!
yesss I love those Potstickers!!! They are amazing for those days you just want a quick meal and they can be cooked with steam or the air fryer depending on how you want the outside (crunchy or steamed lol)
I tried all of these also, I was impressed at how long the batter stayed crispy after coating with sauce, the orange chicken was also my favorite
That's the only one of these l have tried. I HAD picked out the General Tso's. But as l continued shopping, a little voice kept nagging me "Put that one back and try the Orange Chicken instead".
Which l did.
Glad l made the right choice.
I actually did add a bit of crushed red pepper flakes.
I enjoyed it with steamed rice.
Oh yeah I got one for chicken. FROM THE BEAK TO THE STINK.
That’s clearly chicken nuggets with sauce 😂😂😂
It literally says 10% more chicken than other chicken. The second i read that I was like wtf 😂
Yeah I bought this orange chicken yesterday at family Dollar. We've got one of those cold snaps where it's 10 below zero. And I mixed in some green pepper red pepper a few other veggies to spice it up. And some onion. And I think that's about it. But you know it'll do
Larry, btw , I will say all 3 of these meals look good, I wish they would add rice on the side in a packet , etc...,but being across the border from you in Ky., you & I have a lot of the same tastes for meals & i trust your honest opinion on the food ,so I will buy them & throw a few in the freezer when I'm feeling lazy , tired , bad weather , or no time to get my carryout. I like sesame chicken also, will look for that at grocer. Nice review
I miss the La Choy egg rolls they looked like pizza rolls early 90s was the last time I seen them.
Sup Larry, unfortunately my oldest daughter buys all frozen meals 😢, I had in past when homeless but old story, widowed, kids with sister, lived in car, worked, culinary school blah blah, worked out, have well stocked pantry, and as you know can whip these up in no time, but is a need, don't condemn anyone, I left frozen meals on dash all day to heat lol, or went to 24 hour gas station, ate these at daughters, the chicken surprised me, the sauce better than some places had, but can make much more at home, they do have msg, because it's natural in most ingredients, like restaurants, can say no added msg if don't add more, but msg is unavailable, people say allergy, I say have blood test, will find msg, die without it, great review, ssry I go on like you bro lol. tyvm tc
Thank you for your reviews. I've not seen these before
It's good saying all these videos I'm getting spoiled.. Play, you're doing well long time, fan. And you always do it for us, we the people.
Dropping packets of food into hot water makes me think of Army chow.
Mr Wolfe pit, we can all remember eating these back in the 70 seven teas. I know I can't spell, but you get the idea. Awesome video 📹.thank you for doing all these videos!! Keep up the great work 👍
And Chun King which I remember as better than La Choy...
You're on fire, these days! Thank you for the great videos, cheers 🍻🍻
man, it's been forever since I've watched one of these videos.
hope you're doing good Larry. these videos are still excellent :)
Before Chun King got absorbed by La Choy they used to have an EggFooYung boxed dinner.
Man it was so good! They quit making it when they got bought out.
I make it homemade now. Mine's definitely better. But sometimes l miss the "Ready in 5 minutes" convenience...
This Channel deserves at least 10 million subscribers. Way too many people did not know what they are missing out on. If you are living on a budget this channel is perfect
It should be illegal to sell "faux/formed meat slurry concoction" and call it "chicken". 🤨
I'm not a snob but these are gross
I love frozen pizzas, frozen lasagna, frozen eggplant parm, Italian food just seems to freeze better.
Your paper plates really add to the kitchenless authenticity. You could almost live in a van at this point. I truly hope you eventually get to show us the astounding results of the galley designers mastery.
I hope so too!
I totally disagree with poster who said InnovAsian meals are terrible. Your video got me to dig my InnovAsian Sweet&Sour chicken box out of the freezer n cook it for dinner tonight. (with some fresh Snap Peas & white rice on the side ). It's REAL chicken & not processed mash slurry slop and was delicious. Sure it costs a little more but it is Well worth it in my opinion. Breading & sauce compare equally well to your video reviews tonight. Thanks Larry for your entertaining video food reviews!
Well I could eat the whole thing in one setting, even though it says "3 1/2" servings. So.....that would be1330 calories with 168 carbohydrates and 1890 mg of sodium! This is the definition of "highly processed food" and the reason Americans are fat and diabetic.....No thanks!
People in general are overweight and diabetic because of their food choices and lack of self-control. People are not forced to eat processed or fast foods. This meal is certainly not a healthy meal, especially if you eat the whole meal as you stated and proves my point about self-control. Just because you 'CAN' doesn't mean you should eat the whole meal.
@@TheWolfePit I hear ya brother!
My mother used to buy the Ls Choy Chow Mein in a large can. It always had a metallic taste, but was edible served over rice. I don't know if my grocer carries these, but I will check. Good review.
the LaChoy chow mean is still sold yes but it’s definitely not as good as it used to be. It’s really salty lately and too sweet than before
Would all these be better on a bed of white rice?
Not a fan of Americanized Tempura Chicken having eaten all three of these in a Chinese restaurant in Japan and they were excellent there! HA HA
Wake up, babe, WolfePit posted
I only use La Choy soy sauce. I’d like to try these.
You should try the Trader Joe's Asian ones. Surprisingly good.
Yeah, Trader Joe's Orange Chicken is notoriously one of the BEST selling entrees.
ruclips.net/video/cbLVEP44SNM/видео.html
I like making these are home with a corn starch coating, feel it comes out better than a tempura batter. Even then, i have nothing against chicken nuggets made from ground chicken, skin, rib meat etc. its better than creating waste. Ive had their orange chicken too i believe and i rem it being good but better when you cook the sauce in a pan to get it to caramelize a bit (i know you said you cant)
All these La Choy frozen chicken options make it seem like you could save time by just buying your favorite sauce and pouring it on your favorite fast food chicken nuggets.
They look great. Wish they'd make the mini egg rolls again.
Come on Ms WolfePit... let's see that peeled nugget... nice nail polish BTW.
You doing okay Larry? You sound a bit down or maybe you're sick. I just really hope you're okay, and if you need anything, let us know.
He got excited once he got to read all the stuff on the box, he really means it when he says it's his favorite part
Trader Joe’s is pretty hard to beat when it comes to their Asian food offerings, with Costco having a few good options as well, though they are a little less consistently good.
Trader Joe’s has good Indian frozen dinners they are actually somewhat spicy and the other things like Japanese buns and Asian chicken ones tends to be good too
@@AKayfabe if you haven’t tried the spicy rice cakes yet, DO IT. They are delicious.
Oh, there's no question if they CAN make it.
The only thing in question is the price tag.
thats 3 1/2 servings???????
I have so missed Plasta Sue 😂
just a heads up for anyone who cares about pronunciations. TEMPURA = tem-poo-da. not, tem-peer-rah. in japanese the letter R is pronounced more similar to how we pronounce the letter D.
Mmmm tasty thumbnail ;)
PF Chang's Sweet & Sour Chicken is kinda hard to beat.
Hey Larry. Absolutely love your channel. You keep my going on the bad days. Big fan from England.
It's probably 3.5 servings if you make some rice with it. The Sweet & Sour I'd add some pineapple chunks and some green pepper otherwise they all looked pretty decent for $6!
If they can come out with these then they can bring back the mini egg rolls
With all the sugar in that we always call them chicken snacky cakes lol.
Let's not forget La Choy Chicken flavored Chicken and the La Choy Walmart flavored Chicken 👍👍
Hey Larry, how about a MICHAEL ANGELO'S FROZEN MEAL SHOWDOWN. i remember that was the first 10/10 you ever gave. i think it was the eggplant parmesan. which i tried for myself and agreed. but what about a shootout to find the best one????
Tempura is more pronounced "Tem-perr-uh" - Like when you say a cat is purring, but without that rolling "R" Julie Newmar (as statuesque as she is) would use in the 1960s Batman TV series
Not out to be critical, just figured you'd want to know when you're talking about food ☺ Love your videos - Keep it up!
Who doesn't love a Julie Newmar reference!
"NO MSG???" Uncle Roger would be so DISAPPOINTED!
Overheard at Oprahs bbq. "you get a fritter, and YOU get a fritter, AND YOU get a Fritter" LOL Aloha~~ from Hawaii~~ 🍍🤙🏽🤙🏽
Larry PLEASE address why you've begun speaking like you're uploading the audio at 50% speed
I tried some of this about 2 weeks ago. My local (regional - Food Lion)) grocery store had these advertised for 4.69 so I bought a couple of bags. Tried it and it's quite good - of course the Orange Chicken sauce makes the dish. Same store has them on sale this week for 3.99 so I bought 3 more bags! Good stuff and easy to fix. Just cook up some Lundbergs Wild Rice and slice up some green pepper and you have a meal. Nuggets are a good size and there's plenty of sauce to use/left over on something else. Another option is to buy the Just Bare chicken bites - lightly breaded and big chunks of chicken. All you need is the Orange Sauce and you have the same thing although the Just Bare is much better. Price is comparable if you get the Just Bare on sale or at Sam's club.
Thanks for all of your reviews--very helpful and mostly delicious!!
FYI, it's pronounced Tem-pur-a. Not Tem-pure-a. But, other than that, great video.
Certified Gold!!!!!
The mother sauce is ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. You're welcome.
You need another segment -"What are They Eating?" looking at similar foods from overseas. Admittedly you can't taste them but most large UK supermarkets (grocery stores) list the ingredients and have real reviews of the foods.I've emjoyed your videos for a few years, but the food additives sometimes appall me! But your enjoyment of Fray Bentos did disturb me because they are not what I enjoyed back in the 1960s....
Larry, If you ever think you are not making a difference just remember, you have over 176 Million views of your videos. AND a large following, like me.
La choys frozen general tsos chicken is definitely the best general tsos sauce I've ever had with one of these frozen entrees. But the chicken itself tastes horrible....I found this video by googling "why does my la choy frozen chicken taste horrible," in fact. I don't know what's up with it but the flavor straight up is fucking disgusting. The sauce is pretty strong and overpowers the awful gaminess of the chicken but it still tastes inedible. Maybe I'm just a wimp but I could only eat half of it before I forced my husband to finish it for me because I started worrying about it making me ill. Maybe I worried too much but still, that chicken tasted absolutely awful. Worse than mcnuggets left out at room temp for a few hours, even...
The air fryer has to be one of my favorite appliances. It completely flexes on a regular oven in almost every way except capacity.
Careful Larry if you are reviewing frozen chicken don’t eat Banquet meals until the recall is over. We care about you
Andrew Zimmern did a frozen meal?
Knowing what that dude has eaten I'm not sure about that. 🤪 Me, without my spoon.
"Tem-pure-ah" gets me every time 😂
Oh no, have I been saying it wrong my whole like? My mom
Had a lot of funny words she mispronounced, not sure why no one corrected her, but Stapular
firmiliar
Are a couple of them that come to mind.
I think I say temp er uh. But tell me cuz I need to know!
@@valerief1231 it's tem-poor-ah
ugh. My mother never bought that garbage brand as a child nor did she buy that old Chun King brand. But I had it a few times growing up when a parent would allow me to stay over for supper. That canned stuffed was a tool of torture. Gross glop in the bottom can and salty chow mein noodles in the top can. yuck. But at least the chow mein noodles are good in those old haystack no-bake cookies. I don't know how that company has stayed in business all these years.
Because it all starts with breaded chicken or chicken slurry nuggets
I buy Tyson chicken nuggets & make my own orange sauce from scratch. Way better and cheaper.
Kind of sad to be happy when a tempura chicken actually turns out to be close to what tempura chicken should mean.
The one thing I can't stand about Americanized Chinese food is the sugar glaze they seem to put on everything. Nowhere did I get this glaze during my visit to China. I'm not even sure where that comes from to be honest.
Chickadee china the Chinese chicken, have a drum stick and your brain starts CRICKIN
I thought you were on carnivore?
I try these meals, I don't eat them.
Could you taste test and compare sone margarines or butters?
They are from Detroit Michigan originally..
Have you tried BEEF SCRAPPLE by HABBERSETT - its new on my shelves and very good, although I think the pork/chicken normal scrapple.
I remember When Chung King was around, it was better
No MSG? But MSG is the king of flavor!
I have been watching you show for years and it just accrued yo me you dont pop up on my youtube feed , nice to see you again Mr Wolf
👏
shank FTW,
Hard. Not to swallow,
Bawk
You could of stirred them after drizzling sauce
Just saw the caption for the video. Do not under any circumstances eat that dribble it has a horrid taste after. I cannot believe they sell that swill in the shops
I love Trader Joes Orange Chicken,
The Forkasu made a appearance! Where is the credit for that? What happened to the Plastasu?
I like what you've done with your nails!
I bet those sauces would be better with Chik Fil A nuggets
Looks like the same exact ones they use in the PF Chang
I absolutely love the general tso flavor
What happened to your carnivore diet??
For a little more money I just go to the Chinese take out restaurant and it tastes way better.
Thank you Mr Chongstein!
