As a middle-aged bachelor(yes, divorced), I look forward to your frozen dinner reviews. They are quite helpful at the supermarket. So this member of 'the people' genuinely appreciates your efforts. Thanks!
Larry, I love your rants. I find it refreshing when you speak your mind and let the chips fall where they may. We the people truly appreciate your channel and your honest, personal reviews.
Hey, Larry, I've always enjoyed your content, but this series has taken it up a notch. I'm loving these. These celebrity meals are something that I, the person, would likely buy when wandering Wal-Mart looking for dinner some night. I really appreciate you giving these an honest review, and you're just as entertaining as always.
Thanks for doing these videos! I recently saw these meals at my local Walmart and was tempted to try them but then I thought wouldn't it be funny if Larry did a video for "Us the people" and here we are! I'm so happy I watched these videos and kept myself from buying these. Thanks Larry! :)
Golden West Food Group is a manufacturer, producer and distributor of brand-name products. They also have TGI Fridays, Jack Daniel's and Cinnabon that you find in the grocery. I am a fan and subscriber of your channel. 👍👏🇺🇲
When my kids ask me something like: "Why are you doing that daddy?" I ALWAYS answer, For You The People! Including the hand gesture! They giggle, but have no clue what it means, they're 5! Never change please. 💙
Fun review. Your comment on a divided tray for parts of the meal brought to my memory the first frozen meals: TV dinners. These were pre micro-wave, They came in aluminum trays that had separate sections for each part of the meal. Swanson's was first, but there were others. There are producers today who use plastic trays that divide the contents. It can be done. Also, Vernon is an industrial city in L. A. County in California. It's not far from the City of L. A. I believe Farmer John's packing house was in Vernon, but I may be wrong. Farmer John's is no longer there having been bought up a larger company which decided to close the L. A. plant. I, the person, love your videos. Thank you.
You are right...Farmer John was bought out by Smithfield which had became a part of a Chinese company in the last 10-15 years. I am not sure about that final figure. They closed down the Vernon plant and not sure where they moved.
I clicked on this when I saw MEATBALLS with mashed potatoes and peas. Never heard of that concoction before. Was so relieved to find out it was meant to say Meatloaf. 😂😂
@@mercster plus the title of the video comes from the fact that the meatloaf tasted like a meatball. Makes me wonder if the factory that makes this meal also makes meatballs and if they use the same meat & herb mixture for both to save time/money?
@@VladamireD Entirely possible. The flavor of both meatballs and meatloaf is highly variable, depending on who is making it and the culture it came from. I have often heard of meatloaf described as "meatballs in loaf form." In fact, meatloaf is a cousin of the Dutch meatball. It would make sense for a large food manufacturing plant to use the same mixture, with some slight alterations, for both meatballs and meatloaf.
Andrew zimmern has always been my favorite guy to watch, I think he's cool. I'm pretty adventurous, but he's got way more nerve than I do. He showed things I never knew existed.
I like all his shows except the one show called Bizarre food where he eats weird things. He has a great show on the Magnolia channel which has had two seasons already I think. It is called Family Dinner. He goes to all different kinds of family's houses and eats dinner with them and always makes a dish himself too. It is a great show.
@rhonda90402 actually bizarre foods was what I liked. I could travel around the world and see things I will never have the opportunity to see. This was back when most of us only had TV. I liked his, personality, narration, and he was open minded and adventurous.
Sometimes even separators don't work. Remember, these items are stocked from machine to truck to store shelves. I'm sure the stockers don't literally throw them in the freezer violently however I'm sure the stocker doesn't treat frozen foods like fragile glass either. Then they are bagged in grocery bags and again they are not treated like fragile.
We the people appreciate you taking one for the team every time you eat these and let us know if we the people should waste our money on it , please never stop doing what you do and being unapologetically yourself .. 💞💕❤️
When I have a frozen meal with mashed potatoes when I get to the part where you pull back the film and stir them I thought little butter on top been a little bit of black pepper and they come out so much better
So far I've had 3 of these now. Andrew Zimmern's Swedish Meatballs (plentiful, but very rich, needed sour cream to tone the sauce down a bit), Guy Fieri's Pepperoni Lasagna (Actually pretty good, I liked the amount of food I got and while a bit oily from the pepperoni, had a good flavor) and Kardea Brown's Southern Chicken Fettucine Alfredo (Also pretty good. Simple, nice flavor, good chicken) The price is of course the hard point on these though, $6 adds up fast when you can get some cheaper brands and doctor them up a bit and get something similar for cheaper. Gonna keep trying these cause I love trying new things when I can.
I used to watch Zimmern's TV show. It was okay. But much of the stuff he ate was nothing I would eat. Larry, "We The People" like and support you! But, "haters gonna hate" unfortunately. Your channel remains my favorite food channel. 😎👍
The only reason one might be mad at You The People would be if you turned it into a drinking game. But YOU THE PEOPLE is what helps you stick out in a very crowded field of RUclips food reviewers.
I have a theory about these meals. They're all distributed by the same distributer. My theory is this distributor probably got the legal rights because these chefs signed some long winded confusing contract, probably to appear on a TV show or network, and buried in the legalese was the right for this company to use their name and likeness to sell their frozen food.
Larry I appreciate what you do for we the people, I'm glad you stuck by your guns and we the people now know your faithful to us the people and you'll never change, thank god
I love the content, you do it for the people, and I am the people; I like a guy like you, just some guy, trying things and offering honest thoughts. You've got me to try new things, avoid others, and I almost always agree with you, even when I don't I understand your ratings.
When I saw Andrew Zimmern on the package, I was half-expecting the meatloaf to be made of frogs, horses and cockroaches. Also, screw the haters. It's YOUR channel, and YOUR videos. Make them how you want them. If some people don't like how you make or talk in your videos, that's their problem.
Scooter here just to let you know that was Patrick Star and not Squidward. Just Scooters two cents. Peace!! Love your videos!!! It's a great way to relax. You're highly enjoyable, and been watching for years!!! Thanks Larry!!
I always mix and chop every frozen dinner i eat just so it will be easier to scoop every bite onto bread and butter, (about 3 to 4 pieces per meal) with a nice pinch of fresh ground pepper on every slice. DONT FORGET THE FRANK'S RED HOT as well as a pint tumbler full of ice cold whole milk!!!
Dunno if anyone mentioned it, but Golden West Good Group both manufactures and distributes the meals. I've picked up food from their Vernon CA location a few times now.
Me, one of a group called “we the people” love these videos. I’ve eaten the Banquet pot pies, the various pizzas, the Banquet meatloaf with gusto. I’ll pass on these celebrity meals. I see them as sell outs and won’t put a nickel in their pocket!
I love your videos and I myself do not like my food touching. Drives me absolutely crazy. Keep up the good work I love your videos for us the people 👍🏻
Probably Sysco. Also, the meal isn't by Andrew Zimmern, just the serving suggestion is by Andrew Zimmern. "Keep frozen. I perishable. I cook thoroughly." Good to know.
The best frozen meatloaf that I have found is at Aldi. It's 2lbs frozen raw, so you have to thaw it in the fridge and then bake for an hour in an oven. It's not for the microwave.
The Challenge Should be For Him to Cook That Dish From Scratch His Way And Compare it to That Mashup!! Those Peas Litterly Looked Bad!! As In Shriveled Up and Dehydrated! Thank You Larry! We The People Appreciate What You Do For Us The People!!!!!!
"You the Man"...Larry. Just started checking out your wonderful reviews but noticed that you have not reviewed any of the "Devour" frozen meals...which I find very good. Perhaps on your next Walmart trip you could pick up their "Buffalo Chicken with Mac and Cheese" or one of their other meals to review. Keep up the good work...and thanks to the helpful hand of your assistant, too.
As a member of *The People* I want YOU *The Larry* To know that these videos are very informative and some of these meals shown I will consider buying or avoiding all together! And I have one thing to ask! Where are the dad jokes?
Sir, I have been a subscriber of yours for quite some time and I am not good at commenting. Generally, I just hit like and Move on but I wanted to tell you that you make great videos awesome videos. Thank you.
Wow. That looked so gross, I wouldn't have tasted it no matter how good it smelled. Did not recognize Andrew with a beard; I thought they put they wrong person on the box. LOL I'm so used to associating Andrew with eating bugs and stinky fruit that I almost forgot he was also a chef!
"You, the people" is fine with me. It's a tag line. Emeril said BAM. Also " kick it up a notch, " ( or notches unknown). 😁💯👍No one criticized or complained to him.
Please keep doing what you do, for us the people.

💯
I like Andrew Zimmern. He does have some peculiarities, but cooks/chefs usually do. His show was good.
Yet he didn't rip on guy....a 50 year old who dresses like a 16 year old youtuber
Thanks for reviewing these celebrities frozen dinners. I have never found one that was good. We the people appreciate you ❤

I debated it also, but hesitated at the cost for such a small meal.

That sounds like you wrote it in a yearbook from high school
I clicked on this when I saw MEATBALLS with mashed potatoes and peas. Never heard of that concoction before. Was so relieved to find out it was meant to say Meatloaf. 😂😂
Meatballs and gravy with mashed potatoes is extremely common, maybe not in your area. A quick google search will bear this out.
@@mercster plus the title of the video comes from the fact that the meatloaf tasted like a meatball. Makes me wonder if the factory that makes this meal also makes meatballs and if they use the same meat & herb mixture for both to save time/money?

300g for 5$. And people say that junk food is cheap food.
The same people who don't know what an apple or spinach is. They don't ever shop in the produce section. Lol Eating healthier is so much cheaper.

While it was still frozen it looked like the peas had the meatloaf and taters surrounded and were about to commence a siege.
My mom used to make meatloaf the same way she made meatballs. Also used a tomato paste glaze. Maybe its an italian thing.
