19:43 He can still call you by offering "to fold if you show". Depends on how you answer the opponent can pick up if you want him to fold.
Not sure if he is more inclined to call if you kept silent.

I agree, I normally won't respond unless it seems genuine. he was a req player who was up and didn't want to lose money. But he asked and I shrugged and said sure. thank you

There’s nothing wrong with expecting an opponent to show when you call them. You paid for the information.

I typically wait for them to say you’re good. If they’re slowrolling, then they’ll be punished by karma later in the session

Make him show. It wasn't as if you tanked with the nuts. Since you are not a reg there, it's important to get as much intel on players as possible. Nothing wrong with making him show his 7c-6c. If I were him, I just would have mucked once you called because 7 high beats NOTHING. Keep up the fun content!

AQ of hearts could be in his range on that hand with J 2 but I still would have called as well since ur blocking a lot of combos with the Jack of hearts in your hand nice call

Always let your opponent show always if they don’t want to let them muck. That’s free information for later

On the J2 hand regarding making him show, it appeared to me that you called, he nodded saying you got it and then he flipped his cards as you were just grabbing your cards to show. So no, you did not make him show in my eyes.

Usually, I'll show the winner and let the opponent muck their hand if they've been caught on a bluff.. they've punted their money off to you already!

Absolutely NOTHING wrong with having players show their cards according to the action
If I call a river and they just sit there, if the dealer says anything like "Let's see some hands" I simply and politely reply, "Of course. I am happy to show in turn" reminding them that I am the caller, not the bettor.
ESPECIALLY if I know my opponent likes to slow roll the winners when he is 1st to show. In that situation I may even look at them and say "Show em or throw em" and if they muck I don't reveal my cards either
Or, if I know this player is NOT a slow roller and just embarassed to show their bluff, I will happily flip my hand first
    BTW, fun fact:
If everyone checks the river the first position is first to show
    Why?
Technically a "check" is a "bet of no money" and is therefore considered "action"
Many dealers and floormen are not familiar with that concept but, think of it this way, in a disputed situation where someone was passed by to check or bet whatever, or a card turned by dealer too quickly, and the floormen always ask "Has there been any action yet?" Checking always qualifies, hence, a check is "action"

If you call it’s not bad etiquette to have them show. You paid for the information. That said, I’m not the guy who does this unless there is some reason behind it or something happening prior where I actually want to see. Or they were being rude to other people at the table I’ll make them show. 🤔
