Omg you’re a life saver! Thank you so much for this video. I was getting really frustrated with not being able to figure out how to tighten my interchangeable needles 💖
I will repeat what’s already been said, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was sooooo frustrated! They should have these simple instructions in the sets! 😘 you’re a life saver! THANK YOU!!❤
Thank you SO much! I was stumped changing needles this afternoon and found this video to be so helpful! Plus the other unknown tools just sitting around the sewing room or office!!! Very helpful!
WHAT?! I'll be honest, I've knitted with my inter-changeable needle set for a few years now. I started knitting my first sweater, and I was in fact always worried that I was going to accidently loose a needle and my work was going to come undone. You are the first knitter to have explained what that stupid little piece of metal was actually for.... something so simple...Thankyou!!
I was going to return the set I just bought because of this very issue. I am thankful for your youtube. I am still debating sending back and just buying each needle size as I need it. Thank you Allen!
Thanks so much for sharing! After watching your video I used the heart shaped rubber to grab the needle tip and rotate, while the other hand holds the t-pin rotating to the opposite direction. What you've said are exactly what I was thinking- it feels nothing but somehow it worked and won't easily comes off again!
This is so great! I was definitely in the same boat as you when I bought the ChiaoGoo set of interchangeable needles. I could not understand how the heck the T pin could possibly do anything! So, I thank you so much. This is a really helpful video to share.
Thanks so much I just bought an interchangable knitting needle set and start using it and was dropping stiches as I got half way through a project I didn't understand what the pins were for now I know thank you so much for this advice ☺️
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I as so frustrated with that t-pin for which there were no instructions…like what!!!….for that price could they not have thrown us a bone 🦴 😂.
Thank you!! I'm new to knitting and just started using my interchangeable needles for the first time and had no idea how to use the lock. I expected it to be some sort of lock and key device and couldn't for the life of me figure out how it could tighten. 😄
Thank you so much. I had put away my circular needles, thinking I had to purchase a more expensive set that worked right! I just needed to increase the torque with the bitty tool, which meant nothing to me.😃
Thank you for sharing! I recently switched to interchangeable needles and could not figure out how you use the t-pin. Your video was very helpful. Thank you for clear and easy explanation!
Thank you for this vid! I just started using some ChiagoGoo really small needles with mini cables and they were coming loose - driving me crazy. The minis seem to be worse about this than the small cables. 😅
Thank you for sharing this. I got my chino goo as a birthday gift recently and o was just looking at the pieces and wondering what to do with the pins.
Thank you! Do you know what the little white plastic brick is for with the threaded needle like tip in the middle which comes with the t pin in the circular sets for Ciao goo?
I think what you’re referring to is the cable holder? Basically you put them on the ends of your cable if you want to use the needle tip on another project.
That's really funny. Mine, as you said, doesn't say what to do with the t-pin either (which to me looks identical to my blocking pins), but it did say that the hole is there to insert a lifeline into. So that makes it seem like that's all the hole is for. It was really frustrating, having my needles forever separate and then pinch the yarn in the crack. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! Just like you--and all the others that gratefully commented and thanked you--I could NOT figure out how the pin could help. While making my last hat, with a new interchangeable needle set, the tip would occasionally loosen, so I was constantly worried about losing stitches. Fortunately, I was so painfully vigilant that I would realize it and tighten before any stitches fell off. Anyway, again, a HUGE "Thank You--you are a life saver in this instance, and much appreciated!! 👍 😃
I was about to toss the expensive 9 inch circular needles into the trash because I had to stop every few minutes to tighten them. It was very annoying! There should be instructions on the package 😩
I can’t believe it’s this simple! I’ve been dealing with my needles untwisting for years and never knew I could do this. Thank you!
Omg you’re a life saver! Thank you so much for this video. I was getting really frustrated with not being able to figure out how to tighten my interchangeable needles 💖
Same. Today I kept dropping stitches as such and tonight I’ve fixed it. My needles came with a diagram that did not make sense
That is so helpful ! Just got my day yesterday and could not figure out how to use the T pin. Thank you!!
Thank you! It wasn’t obvious to me either. I’m new to knitting and I’m very grateful for your help

You’re welcome!
Thank you for creating this video! So helpful. The T pin makes so much sense now. 😊
Thanks Allen! Just like you, I put the pin in the hole and wondered what the heck that was supposed to do. All good now!
I was going to return the set I just bought because of this very issue. I am thankful for your youtube. I am still debating sending back and just buying each needle size as I need it. Thank you Allen!
OMG!!! Thank you soooooo much! You expressed exactly what I just went through! And it does make sooooo much sense once you know! 😁

Thank you so much!!! I just got this set of needles and I’m so excited to use them but was a bit intimidated as well. Knitting my first sweater!!
That was incredibly helpful. Thank you!!!
Omg. Yes finally. Watched , tried, worked perfectly. Can’t wait to cast on my hat now ! Thanks for information I couldn’t find before

Thank you I was wondering what it was for and how to tighten cause I had issues with separating cords from needles
Thank you so much. I appreciate it
OMG! This was me EXACTLYYYY! Thank you so much for explaining the most basic yet baffling of things:)))
Thank youuuu! This was sooo helpful! I too received no instructions and was lost on how to use the key.
Thank you!! I'm new to knitting and just started using my interchangeable needles for the first time and had no idea how to use the lock. I expected it to be some sort of lock and key device and couldn't for the life of me figure out how it could tighten. 😄
OMG THANK YOU I was so confused
Thank you so much. I had put away my circular needles, thinking I had to purchase a more expensive set that worked right! I just needed to increase the torque with the bitty tool, which meant nothing to me.😃
For some reason I managed to guess how to tighten mine but it really needed to be said somewhere.
My project fell apart this evening in 3 places (lost stitches). I got them back on needles! Thanks for the info
Thanks so much. I’m a new knitter there was no paperwork with my needles .
Thankyou for solving my problem n sharing d technique
Thank you for sharing! I recently switched to interchangeable needles and could not figure out how you use the t-pin. Your video was very helpful. Thank you for clear and easy explanation!
This was super helpful so thank you. But I think one of my cords is defective as I cannot get anything in the hole on one side!?! 😔
Omg thank you for this!
Thank you 😅

If you sew or quilt, etc.. you use T-pins to secure your fabric. You can get them wherever craft supplies are sold.
Thank you so much. When you know you know!!!!!
Thank you! I had No Clue!
Thank you for sharing this. I got my chino goo as a birthday gift recently and o was just looking at the pieces and wondering what to do with the pins.
Thank you!! I couldn't figure it out
omg thank you! that was driving me nuts!
THANK YOU for this video! I had no idea. 😂

THANK YOU!! I have watched videos before, but never fully understood what I was supposed to do until now!
Your conundrum with interchangeables is the exact same as mine 😂😂 I’m so glad I’m not the only one!

OMG You saved my sanity. As you say, there are NO instructions on how to do with that little diddly thing! THANK YOU!!!!
I’m SO thankful for you doing this video! I just got my new Chiagoo interchangeable needle set & couldn’t figure it out! Thank you!!
Thank you so much! I knew I was missing something and was so frustrated with having to constantly fix my needles.
Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!!!
Just opened my brand new needle set, and couldn't figure it out! Thanks so much for making this video available. Now I can get back to knitting!
