I couldn’t take my eyes off this video for one second. I have never seen such respect for curls. In a regular salon your gorgeous curls would be looked at as a problem to be straightened but here they were appreciated. She took so much time to understand what you wanted and actually showed you as she went in case you wanted her to fix anything instead of how most turn you around to your horror too late. She finger detangled your hair!!!!! I haven’t been to a salon in over five years but I would try this one in NYC. Thanks for posting this. It felt good in my spirit to see curls treated with respect and loving care❤️

Volume is not the thickness of strands only. It's the way the hair lays. Her hair was top heavy in areas causing flatness.

Thank you love! It did feel a bit weighed down since they styled it a bit different but it was super defined :)
Nevila is the best! Ditto, found her on IG. She LISTENS! I'd recommend her, though I had a wee more product than I probably needed. But, she gave me so many pointers I'm still following today.

I'm glad you like it ! I think your stylist is best. I think hair should aways be straight and dry before trimming or cutting so the proper length is achieved. Love the body but appears somewhat dry with that product line. I love your stylist. She reminds me of my stylist. Nevertheless , you rock Mrs! Love your educating awesome videos ☺️

I would have rolled out that salon and whipped my hair back and forth all the way to my car 😁. She did a great job.
The hair was absolutely beautiful but can we please comment and how pretty she is. Her face features are gorgeous! I love how she has her own look and not overdone with crazy contouring and crazy lashes .. in other words, has not fallen for the sad trend of making herself look like every other girl in RUclips with the blanket everyonelooksthesame makeup look. You go girl !

There isn't alot of white hair stylers that know or learn how to do black hair.
Devacurl stylist have to be trained in cutting all curly hair types and textures to be employed in a Devacurl salon.
She took the time to do it curl by curl I love that respect and patience!

I am super porcelain white and have mostly wavy hair with some curls. I love deva curl. It's lightweight and defines all of my curls. It really is a versatile product for all.

I went there and I REALLY want to to go back... I went for a deva cut which includes a deva curl transformation, and it turned out so well💓💓💓

It looks beautiful, however I think she should of went a little shorter on the middle and top your hair will probably grow out in weeks and their cuts cost a lot of money, but kudos to the stylist!!!🥂

Nice to see a stylist know what to do with curls. Ive had some experiences lol. And sometimes the look on their face, you can see the dread! I had a great stylist, and then one day she had left and they refused to tell me where she'd gone! Never found anyone since who did a good enough job to stick with.

They can cost from 150-300. Some places even require you to pay an extra $100 for a consultation (at least in San Francisco) which includes what you’re doing wrong to your hair, how you can fix it, and what your hair type is.

I want a devacut when I see stuff like this because it looks like just shaping your hair makes a huge difference but I'm also incredibly nervous. I have 4A hair that can be a nightmare to detangle (I'll usually detangle and twist my hair up because a salon appointment because I feel bad subjecting anyone to the knots my hair conjures) but I know they ask you to come in with dry, detangle hair with no product and I'm like...my hair can't be ALL of those lol.
But I clicked mostly because her hair is so beautiful and seeing her stylistic makers me reconsider

Fabulous cut-though your hair is already gorgeous so you can’t go too wrong 😉. I’ve been going to that salon for last two years and finally my schedule has synced up so that I have an appointment with Nevila later this week. She does such a great job of delivering what Devachan promises-a curl-by-curl cut-on any hair type. I’ve encouraged all my natural hair girlfriends to make at least one appointment with Deva to get accurate advice and a cut that works with their hair. Best salon ever!

I love ❤️ it! I’m a licensed cosmetologist and when I saw her first get started it looked liked she didn’t know the hack what she was doing with that natural wavy hair! I love how she took the time to explain to you what she was doing and what she was going to do! She listened to you and gave you exactly what you wanted! That sister girl knew what she was doing and gave you a bomb cut! Stick with her because it’s so easy to get messed up! And when they mess you up, they don’t have any remorse about it!!!

I’ve tried deva curl shampoo and conditioner and I found that it dries out my hair :( did you experience any dryness?

My hair is just like that and I have never went to a stylist ever in my life cause I can’t trust any one with it and I live in an area dominated by white people so stylist don’t really have knowledge in curly hair so that’s what scaring me.
