Mariah is obviously the better singer overall. But I will say Demi gives her a run for her money in the mid belts and actually ate her up once they past F#5 considering Demi is a higher placed soprano than Mariah ever was.
@@davidgheciu3040 Mariah is naturally a Soprano. The nodules actually allows her to have that lower extension as well as the whistle register. But the brightness in her voice as well as her natural tessitura (when her voice was healthy) sat in the soprano range.
@@AnonymousXtinaSinger She literally said in an interview that she s an alto who can sing high because of the nodules, she used to talk in whistle when she was little and sick and that causes her nodules
@@AnonymousXtinaSinger And you can hear that she is an alto by several factors, such as where she starts to use mixed voice, or the fact that her natural voice has more resonance on low notes, at any age
@@davidgheciu3040 Mariah has also considered herself a soprano. She mentioned on several occasions that she refers to herself as a "Diva" because to her and her mom, a diva is a Soprano Woman who sings very well. And yes, her nodules allows her to have her extended whistle register and decent low notes. But, her voice does NOT sit in the Alto range, nor does her low notes have the depth of a true alto. She may be more comfortable in the Alto range if she were in choral music. But her actual classification is soprano.

Mariah is 1000% going to win this but I have a feeling that Demi might take the point for some notes. We'll see. Mariah wins! But I would say that Demi is one of the better vocalists in music today. She just keeps getting better and better! Mariah is obviously the better singer overall. But I will say Demi gives her a run for her money in the mid belts and actually ate her up once they past F#5 considering Demi is a higher placed soprano than Mariah ever was.
Mariah it's actually an alto who have nodules , that's why she can go that low and that high but doesn't mean that it's technicality good
@@davidgheciu3040 Mariah is naturally a Soprano.
Can i please know which song mariah was singing that F5 and the choir singing something like miracle

Demi - Belts ALL of them!
Mariah - Low notes, HV, Falsetto, Whistle, Melismas ….
I LOVE AND ADORE BOTH OF THEM, With all of my heart!
Mariah is 1000% going to win this but I have a feeling that Demi might take the point for some notes. We'll see. Anyways, this is what I think:
Low notes -

C6: Mariah (Demi's was quite good though, especially considering that she barely hits C6 anymore)
C#7: Tie (I would've said Mariah but Demi's was surprisingly well-controlled for someone who rarely uses the whistle register when singing live)
Low notes - Mariah (9) > Demi (4)
Belted notes - Mariah (30) > Demi (19)
Head voice - Mariah (10) > Demi (8)
So Mariah has 49 points and Demi has 31 points. Mariah wins! But I would say that Demi is one of the better vocalists in music today. She just keeps getting better and better! I hope that, someday, she regains her Disney era belting technique because her mid-belting was at its best from 2008-2012.
rainhas das vozes
Demi is EVERYTHING 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
MARIAH is heavenly ❤😍👑
I think that Eb5 is the beginning of high belts.
Demi is NOT seeing Mariah especially not in the UPPER BELTS especially PRIME MARIAH.
13:40 link of this clip plsss
DEMETRIA 4EVER❤
Ariana vs Mariah
that already exists 😭
Demi rainha do C5 👑
Mariah!!!❤❤❤
Mariah Of course they are not even in the same category, Mariah at her peak is untouchable and that angelic tone of her voice, already very strong, sounds shrill and not pleasant to the ears.
Demi's more consistent, has better stamina and better upper belts.
mariahs HV, runs and tone is superior fs
U forgot lowsss, mariahs lows r def superior, obviously her whistle notes r too lol. Id say mariah has the better stamina/breath control in general tho, all tho i do think demi has it more on the upper belts.
Omg Demi took upper belts?😭😭
@@foreverlamb3390 yeah... mariah struggles on an f5.
demi breathes A5s at this point.
also mariah has lipped most of her performances whereas demi hasn't done so at all
@@ihatecoffee7185this is just pure ignorance. Every singer lips your just fooled by it and y’all love saying she struggle on F5/F#5 yet those are her notes especially in prime
@@o6279 not every singer lip syncs. don't lie now.
we can acknowledge that Mariah is a great vocalist while also keeping her many flaws in mind
Demi wins
Mariah wins obviously, she is very careful in the use of her resonance, all her notes are made with good technique, on the other hand, Demi does have more upper belts but sound bad, very strained, there is no use having vocal range if you cannot have healthy resonance
???? Someone with bad ears. Most of Demi's belts are open and powerfully done. Don't act like Mariah didn't strained on some belts here lmao, she strained too. It's not bad as what you think and you have to remove that hatred
Low notes and agility for overall is Mariah
But High Notes Power including Consistency goes to Demi.
Like let's not act that they're not near. Mariah is not perfect and has bad aspects in her voice like Demi.
Uper Register Mariah killed, but in Uper belts Demi take that.
At least Demi doesnt lip sync.
Sometimes I think she should…
@@TheBaritonoAssoluto You must think about many things, none of them took you anywhere (to end here by commenting negativity).

and she just lives her life with Bb5 notes?
Mariah eats demi up in basically every other category of the voice💀
@@angelxemotions9102 Not in 2023. Remember its not the 90s or 2005
@@GavinBolt cool, ur comparing a 54 year old woman WITH nodules, to a healthy 30 yr old woman. Why dont we compare them at the same age range?🤭 Huh?? U scared or some shit?💀

One Anne Marie vs?
Objectively, Mariah will always win.
Demi is a great singer but you are comparing her to one of the greatest vocalists of all time. That isn’t fair to her. Also, why are we comparing them in the first place? Can we not appreciate them separately without comparing apples to oranges?
It's just entertainment, not that deep
Mariah hit a F6 in mixed voice.

Mariah and it's not close
Demi is great but Mariah in her prime is untouchable. There's a reason why Demi is a A- vocalist and Mariah is a star-rated vocalist!
14:35 mariah did this part better 😂
Mariah is the turkey and Demi is the cranberry sauce in a cup on the table
Demi. She can actually sing her songs live and doesn’t lip sync constantly.
mariah - 54 yo
demi - 30
have u ever watched mariah fvcking carey live at her 30’s???
mind you demi can’t even support properly and has a very poor technique from top to bottom of her range and even mariah loss her ease at the upper range, her lower range is still better than demi could ever be.
@@prval1658mariah literally struggles in the fourth octave now and lips at least 80% of what she sings her low register being better isn’t really doing much for her
@@prval1658 Mariah has no “ease” in any of her range anymore. Demi’s ease and range have only gotten better in a 16 year long career. That’s literally not possible if Demi has as bad of technique as you say she does. Her voice would be wrecked by now but it’s only improved
Also, the way RUclips vocal people use “support” is totally wrong. No real vocal pedagogues use it that way. Demi absolutely supports her entire belting range. It is literally impossible to sing A5’s in full voice without support.
Support does not mean a tension free, fully resonant sound. Support is about using the appropriate amount of air for a given pitch/register. You can absolutely have tension and still be supporting. They’re not mutually exclusive.
Demi’s catalogue is far easier, Mariah was singing mega simplex songs back to back to back in her career with poor rest and health habits. Forming nodules really had a factor in destroying her voice as well. But Mariah in her prime eats Demi in every regard honestly
