I think Kelly has more control overall and is technically better, but Demi is still an absolutely insane belter that most singers can’t compare to
Low notes:
Kelly’s low notes sound so stable lately, while Demi’s have been quite unstable lately. Surprisingly, Kelly wins low notes. Although, if we’re talking about throughout their entire career, Demi would win.
Belting/mixed:
It’s extremely close A4-C5. These ladies both shine in that area of their voices. I’ll give it to Demi though, as she’s almost always been extremely resonant in that part of her voice. Kelly’s extreme resonance in that area of her voice is relatively recent.
Kelly takes it again C#5-F5. She has some of the best belts in the industry C#5-F5, while Demi typically starts losing support there.
F#5 is a tie, and has become a signature high belt for both Kelly and Demi. Kelly has been supporting that note for forever, and Demi has recently started supporting it as well.
Kelly takes G5-G#5 again. Albeit inconsistent, Kelly has supported that high.
A5-C6 goes to Demi. This is where Demi’s superior mix comes in handy. Kelly is a very chesty belter, and is almost never heady. Demi lately has really mastered mixing belts very well. It’s phenomenal what she can do that high nowadays. Almost unmatched by other pop singers today.
Head voice:
Demi doesn’t even consistently have access to her head voice, while Kelly consistently supports up to B5 in it. Kelly wins.
It’s unarguable that both these vocalists are singing at peak level these days. They’re both incredible, and we should all be grateful we get to witness their talents at full power.

Actually, Demi's low notes are not unstable at all. Her projection in that area is better than ever and she is supporting notes that she never used to properly support.
The only note Demi took A5-C6 is B5. Demi's C6 was brief Kelly's was sustained with vibrato
@@varunravi27Her larynx has become very unstable in her low notes in recent years. Her low notes are louder now than they ever have been just because of her getting older, but the tonal quality and consistency are a hit or miss because of the technique. Low larynx, bad placement, and bad breath support are Demi’s major issues down there. Even though Kelly has much less volume, Kelly keeps a very stable larynx in her lower notes. Her only unstable low larynx note was the C#3, but the breath support and placement on it was great.

The reason her lows sound “unstable” is because of her uncontrolled vibrato and also because she stylistically chooses to sing like that since rock music often demands that sort of “unstable” singing style. Demi doesn’t lower her larynx to reach any notes nowadays, except maybe the very extreme notes like C#3 and D3.
Both are incredible vocalists!! I think Kelly is slightly better because of her control. However, I personally prefer Demi because of the ease of her extreme high belting (G5-C6) and the tone of her voice🤩.
OMG! one of the best battle in Mixed/belting.... Demi was so easy in G5-C6 but is Kelly technique in Bb4-F#5.

I will pick Demi over any other vocalist any day, but, If I had to pick somebody else, even though I'm not really familiar with her music, that could be Kelly Clarkson cause her technique is really pleasant to my ears even though I prefer Demi's style and power
This is me although I’d also toss Christina Aguilera in. But something about Kelly’s rasp when belting is so pleasing to my ears.
I think it you enjoy Demi’s music, you’d probably really like a lot of Kelly’s! Demi has cited Kelly as a huge influence several times. Specifically the Breakaway and My December albums seem to have inspired Demi’s earlier pop/rock albums. And the Stronger & Meaning of Life albums are just bangers as well

Both are incredible and both have obviously improved their technique since their debut. That being said, Kelly is technically better.
Low notes: I would say Demi, even her C#3 sounded very solid
Mid belts: Both really, they are both experts at supporting their mid belts (also you including Eb5 as a mid belt was a bit weird, I would say Eb5 is an upper belt but anyway that doesn't really matter)
Upper belts: Both are incredible, they have some of the best upper belts in the industry. I would say up to F#5 Kelly wins, G5-C6 Demi wins because of Demi's ease, she's mastered mixed belting lately!

So Kelly wins because she is technically better, but they are both incredible and both keep improving their technique. I'm so proud of them both and I love both of them plus the yes, and intro omg!!!! I love Ariana Grande too, she's also a queen

Both are absolutely unreal vocalists. It’s so hard to choose. Most of these battles have a clear winner,but this one doesn’t for me. Even if one is a bit stronger in certain areas,it feels like it all evens out. I think their fairly equally skilled ✨

Overall, I’d say Kelly is the stronger vocalist with more control. But some of Demi’s recent performances definitely have a newfound control and ease that wasn’t there before. You can truly see Kelly’s influence on her.

I’d have to go with Kelly for most of this battle-though it is a good matchup. I think Kelly has much more control and is pretty damn consistent now. Maybe if I could hear Demi do Dream On it would be clearer for me. Additionally, I feel like Demi’s voice is more screechy on the higher octaves. It doesn’t sound like singing to me at that point. Anyway, that’s my perspective.
I do want to acknowledge that they’ve both worked on their technique over time and it shows.
The B5 and C6 note of Demi performed at the same night was insane. A lot of energy coming from her. Legend!!

Demi has 37 points and Kelly has 51 points! Kelly wins! Kelly is leagues ahead of Demi as a vocalist, especially because she is trained while Demi isn't. However, Demi has improved A LOT. However, her mid-belts need work. They aren't as resonant and full as they used to be because she has been focusing more on her higher range (upper belts and head voice). With that being said, her low notes are GOLDEN and her head voice, while still quite undeveloped, is much more free and consistent than it used to be.

Both are amazing vocalists but it comes down to preference and technique. Kelly has better voice control and support, while Demi’s voice kind of gets uncomfortable to hear when she sings F#5-G5 since it’s really piercing to the ears and so high pitched. I prefer voices like Whitney, Kelly, Beyonce, Mariah that can maintain the roundness of their voices even in a higher register

Demi needs to work on tone and control. She’s not very consistent, but she is far from a bad singer contrary to what others say here. It also seems her musicality isn’t that strong, she needs to know when to do melisma. Or when to sing softly or belt. She often chooses the wrong moments to do either one. She lacks a lot of colors that she used to have prior to Heart Attack era.
Tone? I think her tone is better and many prefers her tone as I see in this comment. What she needs to work on is the vibrato and agility and also head voice. If she works all of these and do it correctly most of the time then she'll be considered on the very top in this generation!

I am not a hater of Kelly C but I really don't like her tone, I mean it's not that pleasant compared to Demi. Demi's tone is just too beautiful. I would say Kelly C has better vibrato and agility but Demi's higher belts are better and more open... Kelly C pushes a lot on high belts above G5. Demi does it with ease and freedom... overall kelly has slightly better technique but Demi's tone is just too beautiful.
