Hey man! I am looking for a flatground tricks board since i already own Burton Process for more all mountain. Been looking into Bataleon and Japanese boards, but a bit hesitant on American boards since they are heavier with more swing weight. But can you give your thoughts on the Disaster now that you had it for 1 year ?
Depends on where you are riding east coast this board isn’t very stable on icy conditions you will wash out if you are a hard charger but for flat ground tricks it’s really easier to butter and do spins not much of a carver tho because of the 3bt I would recommend the Rome agent it’s had double kick in the nose and tail so you can really get swifty and butter around also more stable and had hot rods in it to make it pop even more 5 in flex so you can still play around but still get stability
@SLPRWRKS this 2nd board will basically be a dedicated flat ground freestyle board, so I def want a soft flexy board (but not noodle since I am in East Coast). How well does this board fare with the flatground aspect (spins/butters)? I won't be doing big jumps or carves with this 2nd park board, since that's what my Burton Process is for.
@@TheKoreanCanadianthis board is a noodle but but also fun for flat ground tricks so if you don’t want a noodle you don’t want this maybe the plus version is slightly stiffer
i agree about the edge bite but the edges catch fine, just bend the knees more when you go to stop. the edges just dont catch as soon as normal flat based boards but keep your edges sharp and youll have no problem stopping!
Oh yea I got used to it after a while but I would say for riding the east coast (ice) it’s probably not a board I would recommend because of that edge bite you would have to work a little harder on ice but it’s definitely a board you can’t hop on and just ride the 3bt is a learning curve
Hey how are you loved your video gave me heaps of information that I wanted just have a couple of questions is it a good board going through trees on tree runs? I love going through trees doing tree runs now and then but not all the time I like to go down the mountain with a surf skate feel hitting the sides and hitting side jumps mostly, and I do like going on the park now and then but not all the time also, I have been looking at this board or the chaser was wondering if you could give me some feed back on what board would suit me best for my style of riding as this will be my first snowboard I’m going to buy myself cheers
I would not recommend this board for trees because it’s edge to edge transmission isn’t that quick and nimble and if your riding west coast 3bt works a lot better because there’s is more snow and pow the 3bt works wonders in deeper softer snow but if your on the east coast (ice) it’s going to wash out a lot
I also would go with the chaser because it’s a little bit more stiffer and little but more stable but both are going to be very fun in the park and more jib and buyer focused ,small to medium jumps anything big is risky for landings
I definitely washed out a bunch at Hunter on saturday. I feel like if there was more snow I would have stopped properly but your right I did wipe out a few times on heel edge
Yea with some nice good enough inches of snow it would stop much better but it washed out so much on hard stops but eventually I got used to it it’s going to take some time
@@SLPRWRKS yeah its probably is worth. They should have more trails open this weekend. Either way if your itching to ride its always worth it. or get a friend to drive ahaha
