@@MaskedMan66 You should read up on Peter Lorre's life. He was a deeply disappointed actor who wanted to do serious work but was typecast his whole life. He wasn't doing this stuff for the sheer joy of it. He didn't have many other options to make a living.
What a brave man Mr. Price was, lol! Enough grace to mock his own image, and a perfect sense of comedic timing. He looks as though he's having a blast!
I ADORE Vincent Price. Weather in The Muppet Show, House on Haunted Hill, Batman or The Carol Burnett Show; he's a delight on screen he also is a bit underrated for his comedy like in this bit. Funny, Charming and creepy
I have not seen him in anything in a long time, not sure when he actually died, but I grew up, or at least I enjoyed horror movies in my teens, but now I can laugh at them all. Dracula was my favorite, but one day I finally had enough and did not want to watch them any more. This was truly very funny, I have always enjoyed the Carol Burnett Show, especially Tim Conway, but also liked the others.
Yes Vincent has that effect on people. He catches you off guard every time. He is Renaissance man who always full of surprises. He is extremely multi talented. He's the actor's actor, a master art collector, a gourmet chef, and a comedian at heart. He had a big heart and was incredibly down to earth. He loved to laugh, even now he has the last laugh, because his memory lives on in our hearts.
All throughout my teenage years I fantasized what it would be like to meet him. Sadly he passed away right before I was born in 1993. Other teens were idolizing Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus while my hero was Vincent Price. Tell me what did he say to you? What was he really like? I'd love to hear your story!
John Belushi and Jerry Lewis both said "female comics are not funny". I love both you guys (r.i.p.), but....EFF-YOU. This is comedy genius. Family entertainment but still naughty; tastefully naughty. That's a hard goal to pull off, and the CB Show did it all the time. This is platinum entertainment!
Lol, I get the reference, but it is actually pronounced frank-en-stine. That’s the way you have to say it in German, (or English). If it were spelled Frankenstien, then you would say Frank-en-steen.
Price was the consummate professional. An Actor's Actor, and a brilliant comic who didn't mind to parody himself for the sake of entertainment. Whatever he did, he did with great enthusiasm.
Yep! By two years! (1972 for this sketch and 1974 for Young Frankenstein). Funny that Harvey Korman was in Blazing Saddles, also made by Mel Brooks. Two of my favorite movies of all time.
Lol crpm some reason at first I though it was Mel Brooks then I was like waot he llos like an actor crom old movies but wasnt shore who he was intil I noti ed his voice... So ridiculous: know his voice better than his face😂😂😂

@@MaskedMan66 True, very true! I don't know why I missed his voice, maybe because he changed it so much. He could do a LOT with it, like make it deep, give an accent, make it high, he was crazy!
Actors like Price, Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre were always able to prove that the barrier between horror and comedy could be amazingly thin!
Damn! now I have to google those last two names😅 (Karloff I've heared that name alot but googling for his face).
They were hired to be in comedy -horror movies and they needed the paycheck.

Vincent price was also great in Alice cooper…..
I love Carol's costume. And Vicky, the scream is great!
Vincent price...has a distinctive voice...tat sets him apart frm others...n this scene was hilarious😅
.
Everytime I hear Vincent's voice the song Thriller pops up in my mind
I've never seen Lyle Wagner having more fun doing a character than this....
Vincent Price was always able to create suspense even in comedy
"not tonight, headache" hahaha LOL
I want that picture of Carol Burnett on a t-shirt. It's so cool. This is one of my favorite sketches when I was a kid.

This was the funniest Lyle Waggoner skit!!👍😂
Price was priceless!
I have never seen a more HILARIOUS Dracula......LOLOLOLOL!
"...2 tiny little bolts.." Crosses arms across chest!!😂😂😂
Lyle waggoner was so funny in this skit! Probably the best comedy dracula ever!! Well done by him and everyone else in this skit. 🤠🌲🎼
I never knew Lyle did any broad camp like that! I always thought he played the handsome straight man! Very good!!!!
Vincent Price played "THE SAINT" on radio
which is available on internet archive. Worth
listening to.
When the monster points at vicki and shakes his head forward was hilarious.
I wonder how Lyle Waggoner kept from getting a bad case of the giggles in this skit 😂

@scottislassie The last thing Vincent Price was in, was Edward Scissorhands with Johnny Depp 1990
He died in 1991
Vincent Price died in 1993, not 1991.
Vincent Price....
r.i.p.
I love Vicki's scream!!!!
"A pretty girl is like a melody"!! On an Organ, no less!
Frankenstein monster such a romantic
Love Carol Burnett!
Harvey gave one of the best Frankensteins I've seen.

He "ran out of spare parts". That's what happened when Edward Scissorhands got scissors for hands, because Price died in the movie. Interesting.

Count Dracula’s 1’2’3’3’4’5’

Hilarious. :-P
Lyle's comic talent not fully used in Burnett shows. Wonder why?
Every comedy troupe needs a straight man, he was a good one
It was used in a lot of skits.

funnest "Corman" Frankenstein ever.
Korman.
That's LYLE!!! HE is funny!! Just too handsome to "make it" in comedy, apparently.
He actually left to do other things like Wonder Woman & Tim Conway took his spot.
