The album during which they had that argument over the secretary, which produced a great take, was Bitch's Brew. It's detailed in Ian Carr's excellent biography of Miles published by William Murrow & Co.
I know im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Skyler Beau thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Teo Macero's accounts of his hilarious work relationship with Miles Davis brings to mind what one of the previous executives of Carnegie hall in NYC told me about him when I admitted to him that Miles Davis was my favorite jazz musician. In short, absolutely parallel to what Teo Macero related and he also indicated that Miles was the most difficult person that he had ever dealt with.
A great producer must have wisdom and understanding in how to coax the best performance out of an artist. Teo Macero understood the process that produced artistry.
Davis never publicly gave Macero his due. If not for Theo - who, by the way, did an excellent job handling the live portions of Live Evil - Miles Davis wouldn’t be revered the way he is.
@@jazzjeffjazzjeff it happened in the mid 50's it couldn't have been Teo. you can hear his raspy voice on relaxin with the miles davis quintet. unless there was another instance where they became more damaged
He got his voice because of playing too after a throat operation. I watched a video where Miles is interviewed in the early 50s before his voice changed. Really interesting to hear his real voice
What an absolutely brilliant self portrait, gripping anecdotes!! Huge kudos to Teo Macero and the genius who filmed this interview 🙏🏽❤
I can’t get enough of Teo. I love this dude.
Teo Macero was a great musician who gave so much positive input to so many famous Jazz records.
The best editor in music history. I'd heard that he always did the edit of Mile's music. And made him a legend.
I've been a big Miles fan for many many years ... I love hearing stories like this. Great stuff.

Aaron Feldman Ian Carr’s biography was better than the Davis autobiography.

Teo éditéd bitches brew into a classic record : iconic
@@galileoshift8330 Yeah Teo is the person who basically spliced all those records together eding tapes and all that.
Solid black eyes
Teo is the person Miles screamed at, damaging his vocal chords after surgery.
Hmmm, I had always heard that was a cop.
