"Wow its getting really embarrassing now" "im a horrible pianist" And you stop halfway and have some minor excuse.

So, when I was in school, our chorus teacher let us play piano. Now I was actually decent, but played in the practice room like a functional manner of society. Now, there was always this one girl, playing the main piano that everyone could hear, and she would only play the beginning of Fur Elise on repeat. Not even the arpeggios, just E Eb E Eb E B D C A on repeat.

He then bought a keyboard and lerened a few more complex songs that his mother taught him. He would always show off that he could play a couple of bits of a song. (He never learned a whole song though) now years on I still play and after a few years (8) he moved back to my area and we bacame friends again on night I went to his house to invite him for a few drinks. The first thing he did was walk straight to his keyboard and started to play the same old bits of songs he knew. I asked him if I could have a go and needles to say he didn't like it and his reaction when his wife said "he's better than you" was priceless. He never plays when I visit anymore.

There was this one girl that I was kind of acquainted with, and she was playing some piece she "wrote." She used only white keys and had no distinguishable melody. Anyway, I asked if I could play when she was done, so she finished up and I took my turn. I played a Chopin Etude. She came running back, saying something like, "I hate you! You're better than me!" She then pushed me out of the way and started playing her "piece" really fast, trying to seem impressive or something.

This was me until I started to actually learn chords, scales, and new pieces that were challenging and not just in my comfort zone. I did however set the bar too high with Animez's composition of Unravel. It's become more of a progress check piece. Now I can actually play parts of the first section with both hands together and am begging to notice what key song's are in.
