Imagine someone doing this to you and being proud that they went out of their way to put some effort into attaining a skill. Imagine encouraging them to keep it up and, if you are able, telling them some things that your perspective and knowledge on music have brought you. Like how to play your notes at an even tempo, and that mastery of even a single song is more impressive than a number of half remembered melodies

One of my teachers has an old piano in his classroom. My one friend likes to play “jingle bells” on it, but he doesn’t know the melody and is too embarrassed to try to figure it out, so he plays the whole rhythm on the E note. Like seriously, he’ll play the whole entire thing, but only on the E note. Enrages my pianist side lol
I remember being at this party one time and this dude was like I guarantee you I'm better than anyone here at piano LOL. And I proceeded to play some Chopin I think it was the ballade number one and I never saw that dude anymore at that party
We once owned a church organ. And I learned a few basic songs in high school. And decided to teach my friend the only songs I new because he always wanted to play our organ. He then bought a keyboard and lerened a few more complex songs that his mother taught him. He would always show off that he could play a couple of bits of a song. (He never learned a whole song though) now years on I still play and after a few years (8) he moved back to my area and we bacame friends again on night I went to his house to invite him for a few drinks. The first thing he did was walk straight to his keyboard and started to play the same old bits of songs he knew. I asked him if I could have a go and needles to say he didn't like it and his reaction when his wife said "he's better than you" was priceless. He never plays when I visit anymore.
I had this one kid that wasnt even my friend tbh and he kept coming up to me and bragged about how he was a better pianist than me and one day he was playing an easy version of a pop song in an easier key and I showed him the right way to do it and he says hes still better than me at piano also I showed him that I was playing difficult pieces and this kid still thinks hes better than me but can only play pop songs plus basic chords and melodies (smh) I wanted to destroy his monstrous ego but never happened due to covid which was months later 💀💀

She then pushed me out of the way and started playing her "piece" really fast, trying to seem impressive or something.

As a person who only knows to play the right side of the piano correctly but still sucks at it, i can agree that the two hand thing for close notes saves me every time i try to play something 😭
This was me until I started to actually learn chords, scales, and new pieces that were challenging and not just in my comfort zone. I did however set the bar too high with Animez's composition of Unravel. It's become more of a progress check piece. Now I can actually play parts of the first section with both hands together and am begging to notice what key song's are in.
Honestly, I have never seen any of my friends touch a piano once. So I think I'm the only one in my group who does piano (FYI; I take piano classes! And this was funny for how accurate this video was, but I've gotten better and learned faster on playing the piano!)
That's basically me practicing piano, plus some smashing the keyboard a couple of times, but it's more of frustration and anger than anything. (That is basically 90% of my practicing.) Edit: Not anymore, I actually enjoy it now since the music is actually good.
