Hey Mick, Thanks for the shoutout my friend. Those are some real nice tools you got your hands on. Mighty Mag is on my wishlist and a 12" caliper is really handy. Little V blocks are real useful on the surface grinder you'll like those too. The cylinder master square is super nice. Wow. Stan does nice work. I wish I could have gone, I really hope to make next year's bash. It'd be fun. Gilles :)
Mick - Thanks for the shoutout and glad you enjoyed the gear class. Glad you made it to the BASH, its a great gathering. Go cut some gears - you are empowered.
Hi Mick! I was glad to make your acquaintance out here this year. I'm glad I was able to pass that cylinder square on to someone who well deserves it and hope it serves you well. As a side note; I use Blue Magic and some elbow grease on my tooling for minor stains like that. It does a pretty decent job on them to varying degrees of success and leaves a reasonable protection on them when done. I'm kickin myself for not treating that square to a dose of it after Stan worked it over. Let us know how it turns out and keep the vids coming. Here's tipping one to you & looking forward to seeing you again at a future BAR Z BASH, Denny
This year was my first time. I drove 8 hours through emptiness to be there. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Will I do it again? Yup. You cannot put a price on a network of friends who are willing to share their knowledge with you.
There's always next year. It wasn't exactly affordable for me to get there and have a hotel. But in the end it gave me priceless in person connections to people with similar interests. That alone made it worth going to. (I live in an area with almost no people who enjoy machining. It's like having no friends.)

Thanks Denny, I'll try that. And thanks for making me such a great deal on it. I'm looking forward to seeing you again next year.
You could safely bump up that steel wool grade, keep it coated with CRC 3-36
Cool! Will do. Thanks Stan!
Great video Mick. My angle gages are in lost and found in Stans shop /;-(
Very nice meeting and talking with you at the Bash.
Good day Mick
Ah, those were yours! Did you contact Stan?
I emailed him several times subject, Lost and Found as well as a receipt confirmation email. I haven’t heard anything from him. I imagine he’s busy.
