Shit bangs fr. I wasn't sure if they could match Voices but this one somehow kept up while perfectly executing new flavors. Wormrot's showing everyone how it's done.
Good point about each song having their own identity. Grindcore generally is the genre where I dont ever bother remembering most song names or I cant even distinguish from the song currently playing as to how far along the record I am because it all just blends into a single track kind of listening experience. Like those early ND records I can propably only name 5 songs lol
I'm very picky when it comes to Grindcore, but I do enjoy the choice bands like Napalm Death Pig Destroyer and Wormrot...I agree that this album has surpassed my expectations and just like the aforementioned bands they transcend the Grindcore label!
@@jonday666 Actually you know what? He may not like it as much as we do. At least a couple of songs are 12 to 14 minutes long and Alex (aka pair of jeans) likes shorter songs in general.
Yo can you do a video about New Modern Thrash metal bands like you did death metal? Your video is how i found one of my new favs, 200 stab wounds ( which i’ve seen twice now )
Oh that can be cool! I'm going to admit though I'm definitely not as involved with the newer thrash bands as I am with death metal lol and yeah dude I just saw 200sw saturday!
I don’t quite agree that it’s AOTY material but that’s just my opinion lol. It’s pretty good but some of the “experiments” don’t really stick for me. The clean vocals don’t work for me 100%. The added Violinist was a welcome change. And the Crossover/Hardcore Punk songs are fun Af. It’s a good album for me but easily my least favorite album they have made.
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 fair enough. I've seen quite a few people that didn't enjoy Hiss but loved the more traditional earlier works. That being said, I agree that Hiss skyrocketed into one of the best modern grind albums out there
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 And a month ago, Wormrot did a post on Instagram that they were holding an audition for a new vocalist. In order to pass the audition, the applicant must sing at least five songs from Wormrot's previous album, Voices, in the proper grindcore/powerviolence fashion!

the sound is so diverse. Feels like my face is being sandblasted in different beautiful ways.
Yup! So much variety while still being grind as Fuck
Post-Grindcore! Wormrot have transcended their sound into something entirely different and atmospheric and beautiful! 🖤🖤
For sure! So sick!

exactly! So perfect!
Gotta love Wormrot, another superb album 👏👏👏
perfect band!

Checking it out now. That album cover is pretty cool too. Something different than the usual pile of maggots with thorny band logo on it. Good stuff.
I agree very cool piece
I’m not super into grindcore but I am trying to delve further into it and this shit absolutely rips
Yeah this album really shows all the possibilities the genre has
Just checked this tnx to your recommendation.
Wow.
Heck yeah! Such a killer record

Yup! They’re pushing the genre while still maintaining it
Check out CLOUD RAT & DEPHOSPHORUS.
Yes fatigue in grind due to track similarity is a thing. That's why the 7" is the best format for intense music styles
I agree, the shorter the better. This album though kinda goes by so fluidly
Did you hear White Wards False Light yet? Aside from a total surprise False Light will be my favorite album of the year. Good review.
I haven’t! It’s on my list though I gotta get around to it
Totally agree. Definitely in my top 3 albums of this year. Would love to hear your opinion on it!

Thanks P•O•J Ordering this today!!
Nice! I really want the vinyl or even a shirt

The clean vocals were jarring, but eventually I grew to love them
For me the verdict is still out on this one but Voices is a fkn 10 all day long.
Hell yeah! All their releases are fantastic
dude, why you haven't made a review of SZNZ: Summer by Weezer yet? You said you are a big Weezer fan in many of your Weezer reviews.
Was busy when it came out, so I missed the opportunity. It was good, fun catchy songs but I liked Spring more. Can’t wait for Fall!
We gonna get a ranking?
Eh honestly each album got better and better imo lol wouldn’t be an interesting video

Sadly, the singer has now left the band.
Very sad :(
