    Very thorough video. I've been considering the Ryobi over my current Toro for the ease of being cordless. Although I think I'll stick with the Toro. The ergonomics of the bag seemed clunky and it didn't chop the leaves as fine. I'm glad the Ryobi has worked well for you. Thanks for posting the video.

      Thanks Mike,
      Ryobi has since come out with a newer version that doesn't hang on the bottom like this one does. It's actually not uncomfortable to use. It does get heavy once it's full and then you stop and empty it. Thanks for watching.

    Mine was delivered today. Is easy to assemble. Worked fine. I didn't attach the wheels. I figured that was better so to get the nozzle right on the ground. Plus it allowed me to rake the ground with the nozzle to get leaves tangled in the grass. I already had a Ryobi mower so I didn't need to buy a battery. Normally after I mow I have two lights left on the battery. After doing my yard with the vac only had one light left on the battery. When I use it again I'll try to set the power as low as possible to see if that saves the battery.

      Thanks for watching my video. The wheels help me because I have 4 trees in the backyard and the leaves can get thick when their all falling. The wheels adjust so I'm not clogging the tube. But in your case with grass I can see where that need is less likely.

    Bought mine last year, found it to be a little cumbersome at times but it does a good job. Decent job on grass, but the cement patio and sidewalk are a breeze. I also fashioned a shoulder strap for easier handling.

      Thanks for watching the video. It will get heavy once it fills up. But it's also picking up a lot on a full battery charge. I like your shoulder strap idea. The wheels make moving it easier as well.

    Good review. My second Toro (corded) just quit, so I’m done with that brand. I’ve had good luck with Ryobi cordless tools.

      Thank you for the comment. I like how this vac shreds the leafs into small pieces. Provides you more space to toss more in your bin or if you use the paper bags
      Thanks

    My Worx vac is very easy to use and not cumbersome as the Ryobi but good video.

    Not bad at all. For $130 this seems like a steal

      Hi Jean,
      The one with the battery is more expensive. If this is your first purchase of a ryobi 40volt system, they do have lawn mowers that use that same battery ad well as blowers and edge trimmers.

    Great review, thanks! Would this have the power to suck up river rocks (size 3 or slightly smaller)? I'd like to use it to clean leaves out of my landscaping, but don't want to suck up rocks and destroy it. Thanks!

    • @normscorner6047
      @normscorner6047  Год назад

      It should not suck up any landscaping rocks. There is a dial to reduce the power so you can control the amount of power to reduce the risk.
      Thanks for watching my video.

    Hey! Appreciate such an awesome review. Looking to buy one myself. There seem to be a ton of negative reviews out there for this unit. I'm sure you've seen them. Have you experienced any issues with the performance or its ergonomics and do you still think it's worth getting? There's also a newer version of this, do you think it's worth spending the extra?

    • @normscorner6047
      @normscorner6047  Год назад +2

      When the bag gets full, then it gets heavier to move around with. However the bottom of the bag has this smooth plastic surface that makes it slide along the ground. That would be the one issue people might have. The power and the mulching makes it worth it. This unit is just a vacuum and it's cheaper if you already have the batteries which was the case for me.
      To answer your question on the newer model. Would I pay $400 for it. No, because the bag is much smaller and the only difference really is you get to use it as a blower. Your spending double for 25 mph extra wind force. Maybe someone who doesn't have a blower and wants both. But you're going to have to change it out more often.
      Thanks for watching my video. Trying to get more out there, but been busy with work.
      Thanks

      @@normscorner6047 Thanks for info! Will definitely help me make up my mind. I'm also considering buying some corded version and using it with my EcoFlow Delta, which will help me avoid getting locked into yet another battery system, since I already have Ego and Greenworks, but unfortunately they don't sell leaf vacuums.
      Looking forward to more of your content!

      I'm surprised that Ego hasn't come out with a vacuum mulcher. Maybe there are too many out there. I like my ryobi because I have a collection of power tools so switching out batteries is easy. Good luck on whatever you decide to go with.

    Does it work good on leaves that sat over winter

    • @normscorner6047
      @normscorner6047  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Donna,
      Well it would depend. The suction is pretty strong, but if the leaves are soaked from, say, rain or snow. Then I wouldn't recommend using it as you will clog the blades. I know this for a fact as I went side by side with someone using an electric corded leave vacuum and we both had issues with the wet leafs getting our blades clogged.
      If they have dried out, then you should be good to use. Thank you for watching my video.
