Definitely works beautifully for safely stretching the hair with out burning the product off. I’d probably go in with a flat iron as well. I also love the fluffy stretched look on you!❤l❤❤ Side Note : You’re REALLY FUNNY!!
Does it pass the 20 minute or less dry test? Lol That’s my limit for my hair. My hair straight is only to bra strap/shoulder blade. ahhhhh nvm I just saw the time 😢😢😢😢 as black women we should never waste more than 1 hour in a week on our hair 😢😢😢 think of all the things we could be doing!!! Building our empire!! 😢 hate that for some of us !!
I’ve seen lots of review about the airstrait but you’re the only one that I comment. I like your natural hair and its volume. I hope that the aistrait will be really respectful for your hair and not causes damages as we expect because I’ve got it since Christmas and I find that it’s very hot, when you put a finger inside, it’s as much hot as in a classical styler. (Sorry for mistakes in English , I’m French).
I just received my Airstraight. Iwatched your video before unboxing it. I’m using it right now and so far, so good. I am impressed. Thanks for the demo! (4b)
Omg so glad to hear that, and thanks so much for watching! My mom has type four hair, which also worked out better for her. I'm going to try the airwrap next and see how that does.
Completely understand that. What was it about it that scared you? It was the price that was scaring me, lol. Dyson has a reputation for not damaging hair, so I wasn't scared about the damage. I did wind up trying it on my mom's hair, and it did a better job on here than mine, lol.
THANK YOU! I honestly think this device is a better version of the repair (I’ve had one and its heavy, bulky and the exact price as this with less features). I would use this as a blow dryer, not a straightener! It’s a great prep blow dryer for us type 4 girls without damaging. I realllly want one now!
Live for my supersonic but I have a kisser pattern depending on how often you use it I SWEAR you get quicker. The flat iron and dyer does regulate the heat for our curls and I do notice a difference from using a cheaper option
🙌🏾 yes so glad you found a hair tool that is a keeper. And I Whew finally got my hands on a new supersonic and I cannot wait to test it out. I've heard so many great things about it! My stylist uses it faithfully
hi Rachel, I have same as your hair. For a strait good brushing, do you recommeed me to buy the airstrait or the airwrap by dyson ? please give me your advise. Thank you for sharing your experiences. You're amazing
Hey, I would say hold off on the airstrait. I can get an Airwrap review up for you this month. The airwrap provides way more options and is about the same price. You get the large round brush, or you can choose small curling barrels and a diffuser for when you want to curl yours. Alternatively, Shark also has the Flex Fusion straight which runs at 400. I did a paid partnership with them this summer that turned out really good as well. I can post the short tomorrow, and let me know your thoughts.
I don't think I did, I used the auto mode. I didn't play around with to many of the buttons. Now, I did try it on my mom's type four hair, and her results were better than mine.
@@naightengale101 No problem at all! If you get it, let me know your thoughts. I linked it in my description. And I believe Sephora allows 30-day returns, so if you don't like get them coins back, lol.
Thanks for this. My daughter has similar hair. We tried the RevAir...sent it back! Tried it 3 x. Now she wants to try the AirWrap...I don't think it's going to have a different outcome than our RevAir experience.
🤣 I completely understand that, it's a hefty tag for stretching out your hair. But the positive is, there was no heat damage and no burnt hair smell which I really enjoyed.
I woukd definitely try a lighter weight heat protectant versus that cream. That way it doesnt weight down your hair too much. I use lighter products on my curly girls and their hair is so smooth but moves.
The Revair is a pretty penny. So if it works for your hair definitely do so! I like how my hair felt after using this, because of color I have to be careful with my hair become to frazzled… still holding onto my RevAir too.
OMG, I LOVE the Airwrap. It's 100% worth it. I use it on my entire family, lol. I'm waiting for their large round brush attachment to return in stock so I can try a blowout with it. I brought the diffuser attachment and use it to diffuse my hair, it keeps the frizz down alot. I have no complaints about it, lol. If you have textured hair, I recommend getting the one for curly hair because it will come with the diffuser and the large round brush. Otherwise, if you get the original, you will have to buy the extra attachments like I have to, and they are constantly selling out.
Also, for heat protection, I'm using the Color Wow Money Mist Spray or Olaplex Blow Out Spray; they have heat protectants in them. When I want to curl my hair afterward, I use Dae Hair Heat Spray. It can be used on dry hair and gives your hair a slight hold. So, it's good to use after you have blown out your hair and you are getting ready to put heat on it again to curl your hair.
I returned mine to dyson back. My hair lost all it's moister and try to grab moister from air so my hair got puffy. I'm not curly fully but frizzy and very wavy. It straighten it for a while but it didn't last long plus it's pretty damaging bc when moister gone hair will breake easly
First off. You’re gorgeous and so is your hair! Have ever cut it? (Not trim). Absolutely gorg!! I just ordered the Airstrait and have been looking at videos. I primarily want to be able to give my 11yr old daughter a nice stretch without the heat and damage because her natural 3C/4A curls are gorgeous. Do you have the Supersonic?
Thanks so much, I wish I had seen this sooner; I would have recommended the Airwrap or RevAir (it tension tension-free, but not the best at storing; however, I wish they had that out when I was a kid). Yes, I also have the Supersonic. I have the Dyson Supersonic Nural (10 out of 10, has scalp protection on it), Dyson AIrwrap also love it, Dyson Airstrait, Shark Flexstyle, Shark Flex Fusion Straight, Rev Air and the Pattern Blow Dryer. Let me know if youll like to see a review on some of the systems.
I feel like you using wrong in the beginning cause your username the round brush to hold tension and blow dry like a normal blow dryer you’re not really giving the tool. It’s rigger use just the Dyson air straight and a brush or a comb
Idk how so many people are willing to cough up $500 for a flat iron or blow dryer or whatever 😅 nothing is wrong with regular $50-$100 blow dryers. People get damage by using tools improperly and trying to skip steps. There’s a science to straightening hair. That Dyson is a money grab and gives people sub par results for $500 🤦🏽♀️
While I understand this sentiment, the big selling point with this tool (like the revair) is the convenience. It’s like you said there’s a science to it, but not everyone will be able to nail the technique or even have the mobility to blow out their hair by more traditional means. I agree with you that it’s overpriced and likely a cash grab 😅 but for some people who have the money to spend on it and are willing to, it might be that ease of use that makes their routine more enjoyable/streamlined
@@lannak21 Once again, I said 3C/4A. Not that I have type 4 hair. Meaning I have a combination of two types, not one. I said if you want to see how this looks on my mother's TYPE 4 hair, I can post it. My hair does not represent TYPE 4 as a whole, nor did I claim it was because it's 3c/4a, a mixture. Nice results but to me Dyson is not worth the money. You can get faster and better results just with a Dominican rollerset- less heat and manipulation to the hair

Curious to know, what made you send the airstrait back? Did you get the airwrap? I really love the Airwrap; you can do a lot with it.
Can you use the product on wet hair? I'm also looking at the Shark Blow Dry Styler which you can use from wet. TY, lovely results x
Thanks so much! Yes you can, that's one of the big selling points to it. You can use it from wet without damaging your hair.
For that price this should give you the pin straight silky hair that you would get witha hot iron. Not convinced. Btw you have beeautiful hairr!!
🤣 I completely understand that, it's a hefty tag for stretching out your hair. But the positive is, there was no heat damage and no burnt hair smell which I really enjoyed.

Definitely expensive, but I think it did a good job if you were more focused on stretching your hair than straightening or flattening it. 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed, and when I washed my hair it easily reverted back to curly with no problem. And thank you 💞
Imma stick with the revair though
