Tina Frazier it has a comb attachment like most hair dryers do but not a hot comb. It broke as she reviewed it again that’s mainly why I’m kinda disappointed in it. I have a dyson vacuum. They’re a great company and have a pretty good warranty.
Based on all your reviews on their products, I like it and the reduced heat makes it worth it. However, my only beef is several attachments don't work on type 4 hair and the comb that would really work has to be purchased separately. I don't want to pay full price for things I can't use then pay extra for the one I actually need. Dyson needs to address that!
I agree don't tell people it is for all hair types but not use all hair types in your demo. It is obvious that they don't stand by their product. Sis you should try Rev Air. It is the last dryer I will ever buy. No combs, No heat damage. No breakage due to combing. It is the best at stretching out the hair.
Amber, my baby gift to you is to watch all of the ads that occur throughout your videos all the way through! Congratulations again! I love your videos😊
Okay I have the airdryer from Dyson and I love it. If you use it right like for the curling wands I use the comb attachment first mostly for the roots then go in with the wand. it takes less time, less heat and I didn't have broken off hairs on the floor when I would use a typical blow dryer. It's amazing and I know it will set you back that why I bought mine through QVC lol because they have installment payments no interest so the cost didn't sting as much. I sound like a commercial but its true :) I picked the option with the one that has two combs to replace the brush. I wouldn't used the brush head ever on my hair
Thanks for keeping it REAL!!! Loved your review! The air wrap was never in my radar, but I thought that for some people the air wrap would be cheaper than the blow dryer and straightener combined but now I see that the blow dryer is great and the straightener work best for natural hair!
Just another example of how diversity in the workforce matters.. if they had at least one curly haired person on the dyson staff they would know that their product does not work on all hair types.. shame on dyson
@@rabiaaylmazdr7533 You're way to upset about this comment to go on a rant the way you did. I recently went to the Dyson salon. The guy there told me straight up, it's not great for afro hair. Just get the full hairdryer. He demonstrated a curl and it lasted a few minutes in my 4a hair
I agree they needed the thick hair bundle with only the two flat brushes and blow dryer attachment. I woulda bought it ages ago if it didn’t have too many attachments that I didn’t need.
The brushes - smoothl and round tip can serve your purpose. Also the array of attachments are for you to choose from. I bought it a few months ago. The price I paid was for the technology. The hair being cared for while styling.
Comb attachment for the OG Dyson!! What!! I actually have both and use them differently. I use the AirWrap on days I need to wash and style my hair pretty quickly or after I work out to dry it. I use the smoothing attachment the most but I also use the round brush to smooth my roots all over. I can’t use the wand on my curly hair wet but it actually works find when my hair is dry. I know that’s not how it’s marketed but this isn’t marketed for folks with naturally curly hair, so adjustments have to be made. Thanks for doing a review after a year! Now I’m going to look for that attachment!!
Literally was waiting to see this so I can decide if I want it...then the brush broke! 🤦🏿♀️ I have the blow dryer and just got the comb attachment (like two weeks ago), I'll stick with that. Love my Dyson!!!!
She didn't put that attachment on properly as you can see in the video, my niece has thick and way longer curly hair and she loves it and uses it for almost a year now (without anything breaking)
You have beautiful hair. I think that your hair is so thick that it might have worked better if you were using the longer curling barrels (that they sell on their website) and if you sectioned your hair is to smaller pieces to use the barrel wand with and it would have done better.
My heart felt like it stopped when u said it broke my mind was like 😯 WHAT!!!! The price of this thing should be made of steel literally breaking someone bank balance and have the cheek to snap off. But the straightening attachment resuscitated me
You're so sympathetic. I've got caucasian straight hair and I accidentally came across a video of you and then watched videos for one and a half hours.😅
To be honest I’m not surprised it broke off. The section you took was too big. You should’ve used smaller hair pieces and the curler with the arrows on it.
I recently used it on my 3C hair. I'm not sure if I'm using it well or not, perhaps it will take time. I had a huge poof and needed to folllow up with a flat iron. I wondered if it was too wet, though I had air dried a little. Thank you for your review. I have 30 days to decide if I want to keep it.
Serious question; rather than wetting the hair for the air rap, can you just use heat protecting spray? I'm a bit worried that it won't dry properly at the roots. Maybe your ends were too dry, so they couldn't wrap properly? Also, would you mind trying Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep and Naturally Smooth with the hairdryer? This is basically all I use on my hair now so I would love to see how that combined with the hairdryer would work. Literally, because of you, I am saving my coints to buy all this stuff. They need to send you a fruit basket or something as a thank you!
I was waiting for you to try the wrap on the section you blowed dried with the brush. I think you should do a video on how to make this product work for people with your type of hair for your followers that really want to get it. Also, I'm sorry that when products say for "all hair types" they don't really mean all hair.
Try holding your hair mid shaft and look to see if the ends are wrapped smoothly. While it was wrapped the ends weren't on it smoothly. Thanks for the review.
i have very straight hair. i went to a dyson counter to try this. she used the small barrels on me. it was completely straight after 1 hour. i would not recommend if you have very very straight hair like me. just a warning if you were thinking off buying this like me.
My mum has the same problem. She has 1a pin straight hair. Can't hold a curl at all. I'd be surprised if this worked on her beyond the initial styling.
Did you continue using the straightening brush regularly, and if so, was there significant, noticeable damage to your hair? I'm very interested in understanding whether it's sustainable to use this tool, weekly for a long time, without destroying my hair. Thank you for this.
Can you do a comparison between the Dyson Airwrap brush and the Tymo straightening brush. The Tymo is about $50 on Amazon. I would love to know if there is at least a slight comparison.
@@AmberAnsah I used hair spray before I wrapped it. It's definitely not worth the purchase but I got it as a gift so I had to trouble shoot. A blow dryer, flat iron and want cost less than this lol
Why did you use the airwrap on wet hair? The flat brush was working for you, it smoothed out your hair. That’s the section you should have used the airwrap to curl your hair with. Us curly haired girls know we have to completely dry and smooth out our hair before curling or straightening even if the directions say otherwise . Am I missing something…
I do not have hair like you, but what I do is, I do straighten it with the brush attachment and curl it afterwards. I use an anti gravity spray from. Kevyn Murphy and it looks really good. Maybe it would work with your hair too?
Hi Amber and anyone reading this. 😀 Do you HAVE to have the hair damp in order to roll your hair? I would prefer to curl it while it is dry to prevent frizzies at the ends. My hair curl pattern is very close to yours. I would blow dry it straight with the Dyson and then immediately curl it with the Dyson roller.Thank you!
I’ve been wanting to buy it for the barrels but do you think it’s worth it i have type 2c to 3a hair and I’ve been dying to know if it works please help me and do you recommend this to me?
My hair is similar texture and length to yours and the curling attachment only works after I’ve blow dried and used a flat iron on my hair. Doing anything before that- it won’t work.
Thanks for the laugh, that brush breaking in mid use spoke volumes, could totally see that happening with my hair! Also glad to see this being tested by some one with real thick hair and texture. Cracks me up when people with totally straight hair review these products.
I definitely like if she would stretched it with the comb attachment and then gone in the curling wand it would have worked beautifully. It’s not like a flat iron or curling iron that can smooth out hair. You have to smooth it first. Dyson has to do a better job of explaining that and also making the other attachments a part of the kit instead of something that curly girls have to purchase IN TOP of a 500 dollar product.
The one you broke is something I've seen people with the thinnest, stringiest, flattest hair use. it's just not a brush for curly hair, its for adding body to thin straight hair.

We are not all the same. If Dyson wants to come out with these innovative products, they should have product lines for fine hair to kinky could hair. Yes, they would have to do more research, but if you make a superior product that works for kinky hair and saves time, we'd buy it. Respect goes a long way.
For the air curls I would say try blow-drying your whole head and then dampening the hair your about to curl but not the ends. 🤷🏾♀️ And see how that works.

I would love to pick your brain about how to start a RUclips channel. My daughter wants to do this so bad. I want to help her. She's got the personality and the talent.
Check my Boss Babe playlist here on my channel! I made an advice video on how to start a RUclips channel 😘
@@AmberAnsah thank you so much 😍
Hope they come with a high-tech straightener soon
Is it safer than the Revair?
Thank you for sharing, after seeing their commercials for this product, I was wondering how it worked for curly/ coils hair. The video was very useful!
We are not all the same. If Dyson wants to come out with these innovative products, they should have product lines for fine hair to kinky could hair. Yes, they would have to do more research, but if you make a superior product that works for kinky hair and saves time, we'd buy it.
Respect goes a long way.
I ❤️ your explanations it's very funny at the same time informative 🌼
For the air curls I would say try blow-drying your whole head and then dampening the hair your about to curl but not the ends. 🤷🏾♀️ And see how that works.
