This is why I kinda like Boothill more than Firefly: he isn't tied to HMC and Ruan Mei. Boothill without them still hits like a truck, Firefly without them hits like a wet noodle.
Because hmc is a support, and that is what support is supposed to do, and boothill also needs support to do dmg, and without them, he will have significant low dmg
you can say this about any character in the game tho. jingliu and other hypercarries need Harmonies. dan heng is bad without sparkle, jingliu is bad without bronya, etc. not to mention acheron is also team restricting cuz she needs two nihilities. even boothill wants bronya. this is just normal.
The fact boothill clears as fast without any buffer other than pela instead of rm which is like comparing hanya to sparkle, and in a moc clarly made for the fly says a lot on which one was made by someone with brains and who is just waifubait
Boothill doesn’t benefit as much from rm anyway since he’s not reliant on superbreak so the weakness break efficiency isn’t as big as it is for firefly and this moc benefits Boothill a lot as well since they’re similar characters in terms of being break based. I actually prefer Boothill but it’s just weird to be out insulting characters
