You got some wicked valvetrain noise. I have a similar build listen to mine. Did you use the 4.0 pushrods? If not get some

yes I do have some valve noise. When I started the engine the 2 lifters where giving me problems. Then I used pushrods the where pushing in the lifter 0.030". When I called comp cams they told me to go closer to 0.050". I did but still the cam makes the sawing machine noise. I called comps again and they told me is normal for the Xtreme Energy cams to do such noise. The 2 lifters that I was having problems with I still have the problem and just the thought of having to remove the head again is killing me. Other than that the engine has so much power that is incredible.

If you don’t want to take the head off-remove the valve cover and the rockers and push rods. Drain the oil and pull the cam with the head on. The lifters will drop into the oil pan. Pull the pan off and the oil galley plug in the front of the block by the cam slide you’re new lifters into the bores from underneath and slide a sizeable dowel I use a bamboo rod under each lifter as you put them in. Through the oil passage hole. Once you stab the cam back in pull the dowell back out and the lifters will drop in. I find it easier to pull the oil pan than the head.
With the new lifters make sure to use break in oil. And don’t just change the two if you do it this way because you won’t know what lobes they were on. I used lifters from PBM and had great luck. Erson cams brand. Good luck.

I used Howard Cams springs and retainers. I called CompCams and I asked what was the required open spring pressure, installed height and closed spring pressure. Called Howard Cams and purchased what I needed

    • @fernandodelvalle1612

Lifters are the matching ones for CompCams. Pushrods where measured to fit and I bought them from Summit racing. The brand is summit with a 0.80 wall. In that particular video that pushrods are not fully adjusted. That is why they chatter.
