    Thank you Ruth, For the video of setting it up. I think I'm going to bring a little step stool with me because I think that's my problem with getting the top of it up I'm too short.
    Thanks again, Sheila

      Thanks, you’d be surprised how the springs and cords help the setup, pretty much goes up on its own. But you’d definitely want to test that out before you buy one. I did a lot of research and testing before I got mine.

    Hi Ruth! I love your channel! I have an Aliner as well and I noticed you had a bar up top. Can you share what kind of bar you use? I’ve been looking into one and also adding a high wind kit. My is an older version that didn’t come with. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

    • @ruthtrips7391
      @ruthtrips7391  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback.
      I don’t have an appropriate bar for the sidewalls, I use a shower rod but only for hanging clothes on. It’s not strong enough to protect the walls from collapsing in high wind. What I was told was to go to Home Depot and buy a painter bar, they are yellow and cost about $40… I need to do that. I just uploaded a video about a lesson learned on not having one. Had to leave camp because the wind got gusty.
      Congratulations on your Aliner!

    I Love watching your videos! your videos make me miss home! I'm originally from Coos Bay. My sister is a camp host between Lakeside and North Bend. I believe her camp ground is called Rilyes Ranch. I also own a Aframe camper-bought it last year-mine doesnt have a wind kit like yours, it would come in handy!!

      @@ruthtrips7391 I would love to bring my camper to OR. I live in MN now. I’ve lived in the Midwest since 1993. We thought we would maybe move back home, still might. My oldest daughter lives in Portland so it maybe a reality sooner or later.

    You can buy a 110V outlet tester pretty inexpensively. It will tell you if the RV Park electrical is okay and you can also use to tell if the power is on or off

      Omg, it does run on the battery! No wonder my refrigerator didn’t get cold…. Oh well, lesson learned, I only spent the one night. Battery had a good charge and I had my ice chest 😅 I like the idea of using the outlet tester for those RV electrical posts that are not marked. Thanks!

      No charge. That's what I'm here for.
      I bought my first trailer back in 81, when I was married. Had 2 more up through 93. Traveled quite a bit.
      Ended up having to change jobs, got rid of the trailer, no RV traveling after 93.
      Think I mentioned I plan on getting another one at some point. Still looking after my Mom and trying to finish renovating my house. After that I plan to get an RV and do some traveling, fishing, etc

    How exactly is it in the wind?

    • @ruthtrips7391
      @ruthtrips7391  5 месяцев назад +1

      I haven’t ever stayed in a very windy camp but I’ve stayed during rainy thunderstorms and that’s pretty cool. No leaking! But wind scares me because I’ve seen the pics of others that had the roofs blow back. I have all my bases covered now so it should be fine on a windy camp 👍🏻

    • @RonaldRichardson-s5f
      @RonaldRichardson-s5f 4 месяца назад

      It does not pop up after releasing the latches like your and it takes a mighty push to get them together at the top. But I am short and a weakling.

    • @ruthtrips7391
      @ruthtrips7391  4 месяца назад

      Well I imagine the new ones are bigger and heavier, plus they have the Popup dormers… I’m sorry. Mine is a 2010 Sport, it’s only 10’ and 1000lbs. Very easy for this old weakling to manage 😊
