I lost cruise control and then I lost another couple buttons. I'm not 100 sure from memory but I think it was either phone answer button or radio volume button. Not long after this fix though I lost cruise control again but all buttons were working except cruise control. This time though my engine light was on so it was a different problem. I had a mechanic look at it with their computer and it was an EGR valve problem. My understanding it was a build up of carbon blocking stuff and Nissan's turn cruise control off to force you to get it looked at. If your engine light is on maybe check with a mechanics computer first because it might not be your clock spring at all
@@JackSS31 one more thing. When you take your steering wheel off make sure to mark exactly where it is so you put it back the same otherwise you will need to fix the alignment. There is a little sensor that if you put the steering wheel slightly off, the sensor will think your steering is of and it will effect your traction control.
Thanks mate I have to remove the steering wheel so I can sort out the self cancelling on the indicators before I sell it and I have nothing in my owners paperwork to give me any int of a code ...even Nissan scratches their heads and doesn't seem yo know.*-@@MarinosH1977
Thank you very much. You saved me alot.
Thanks mate that will help, just a question did you lose all buttons at once or did you lose cruise control then later lose stereo buttons?

Do you happen to have a part number for the replacement?

Cheers mate
mate do you know if the car stereo system requires a security code after the battery is removed? I have tried Nissan but they cant say yes or no.
My nevara didn't, but my wife's dualis did. The code needed was somewhere with or in the car manual.
