Ouch. If he ever buys a boat again, his insurance just sky rocketed!
Either way, I bet he'll never leave a boat at anchor in a storm again.
sad ending , to a beautiful vessel
A shame that the owner did not keep it in port...
my dream boat....
And how much would the marina have cost.........saving pennies just cost them pounds....
My condolences to her owner. A painful lesson indeed
Indeed you can not leave a well anchored boat at sea without attention
Heartbreaking
full-time Yes, it is sad to see that stuff!!! once the owner left so not appreciated ! But what is not appreciated then you quickly lose !
I wonder what parts of him was not damaged? Windlass ? anchor ? and so on?
Quelle tristesse de voir cela😢😢😢
That's such a disaster
Difficult to decide from the comments. There were either over 60 experts at the scene who did nothing to save the boat OR over 60 people who weren’t there guessing what happened.
Ehm you forgot the mention that in either case there was a captain that wasn’t an expert.
And the parts from the boat what happened?
didn't seem like much of a storm. Would more anchors have helped?
It may be, but not even a cement block had avoided disaster.
Javier Rullan Ruano sad stuff. thank god for insurance
I have a small shipbuilding company. I do cruise the sailing-motor catamaran of steel. I am very interested in the fate of the remains of this boat?
He had to pay for the collection of the remains along the coast, leaving everything clean.
Somebody has more money than sense.
Don’t judge a book by its cover
if you see a boat thats unmanned and headed for disaster and you crew it out of danger ,where do you stand on that?salvage/ownership or wreclkess good samaritan?(clever words)
jay tee How about just a nice person ..
Jealously would prevent some, inability would prevent others and greed is a motivator of others.
Oké so you shipwreck ur boat. At least have the decency to clean everything up and not let it rot there for a 6 months.
Damn that's sad ..
Ouch.
all for the want of a five minute drive to the marina (and associated fees eh)
+Stewart Gartland That's true, a pity
I think this is "TWINS" , sad that is lost.
better to get steel boat or alu
Yeah, like it would be bulletproof, naahh, it's all over once the boat is on the rocks and getting hammered god knows how long!
nobody from the marina could mount a rescue or beach Her ?
Apparently they did not realize the problem until it was too late
unclejack123 unless your on the boat it’s really hard to tell when a boats dragging if there’s no one on it so it would be halfway to the rocks before anyone noticed
whats with the crappy music on all these videos?
CT Dad most music is copyrighted! 💰
Music aaaaaagh!!!
whu people spent lot of money for glued shit? fancy shape, yachting magazine propaganda? I'm making a boat from 6-10mm steel plate
You can make it from anything, as thick as you want and when Mother Nature decides to destroy it, she will be gone. No matter how well built she is no match for the power of nature, you are far better off with a thinner hull which can perform better planning and plotting. Just ask the people who built the Titanic who also thought they could out build nature, and lost.
The tagline behind the Titanic was "she was unsinkable" and everyone believed it until she found Davy Jones locker that is.
Vynleinn Music steel rusts, so it's only a matter of time
I'm sure the Spanish taxpayer appreciated having to pay to clean up the mess left behind by these wealthy boat owners, who get to claim the loss on their insurance.
+Lazy Jacques The truth is that the insurance only pays the collection of the remains of the ship, but not the value of the ship, because the ship was at anchor with no one aboard
Is that true of most insurance policies? At anchor unattended cover is to third party only?
Ouch.
