About 6 years ago I waited on about 1000 dollars worth of books from Amazon for 4 months. When it finally arrived it looked like the box had been dropped into the ocean and then run through a mud field. Glad to see nothings changed 👌
First of all, major congratulations!!! You’re a rockstar for juggling everything you have going right now! Boo to Amazon and the poor books, they need to focus on some sort of quality control! I just have one question for your next video, it’s about the artist ghosting you, did they ever apologize or explain? I’m so sorry that happened to you and such bad timing too!
I've had this problem with Amazon and their treatments of my books. If I really want a physical book I go somewhere else to buy it online. Its not worth the hassle of opening my package and seeing the dustcover ripped/bend or the pages bent in a paperback. I tend to do ebooks because they can't damage that yet (and doesn't take shelve space on shelves that have no space left 😅) Congrats on your release date. So proud of you 👏😀
Man, I hate Amazon so much. Part of me thinks these issues come from understaffing/overworking. I also wonder if they are automating, terribly, the printing process. Didn't they also up the price of printing??? For this quality?? Makes me angry. Sorry you had to go through all that. Hoping it gets better and authors don't have to rally to see improvements
I would almost guarantee they are automated. They could care less about the quality of their products or the authors/small businesses that sell through them.
Sounds like Amazon is getting really cheep with production. Sorry you have to go through that. It might be worth looking into alternatives because even if its more expensive, it might be worth it to avoid the stress. I hope the next orders are much better!

I had to move from matte finish to glossy and that made them look better from Amazon.

Maybe since you need so many try a limited print run through 48hr books or something
