My mind is ALWAYS being blown by your creativity! I decided to hit "unwatched" videos on your page...so I could see all the goodies I may have missed! What a treat this was. I've always wanted layering dies...but could'nt wrap my head around how to get good use on such a large investment. Now know what my 2022 gift request will be. Thank you sooooo much.!!!
These are just the greatest videos for inspiration!! I love every one of these techniques. Now I’m off to see what I can create before I buy a new die set. Lol
You are so inspiring and creative. Yes, do more videos on these cover plates dies. I can't decide which card I like the best. It's like picking your favorite child. LOL. Thank you for so much crafty goodness.
I think that one's my second favourite, I definitely agree about the POW! Thanks for watching (and the next video is already in planning! lol! Thanks, Kris!
The only full coverplate set I have is epiphany. I NEVER thought of rainbows with it. I haven't ink blended with it. I haven't used most of your ideas. I LOVE this set!!!! If I use all the pieces I either don't put anything else on the card, or I use a simple strip. I did a set of 6 of these for a gift. I have a steel rule die that cuts 4 2 inch circles. I put a white circle in the center. I gave her a selection of 2 inch circles with sentiments stamped on them. This is a video I will refer back to, and watch multiple times.
Holy cow, Ardyth! LOVE, LOVE LOVE that gorgeous hello card with the layered ink blending. I could stare at that all day. Fabulous cards. Beautiful!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hi Ardyth, I’ve just stumbled across this older video of yours (even though I’ve followed you for quite a while now!) and just wanted to say what absolute GENIUS! I love the Birch Press layering dies but they’re so expensive to buy (certainly here in the UK with limited retailers) I want them but get put off thinking I wouldn’t get much use from them. I have a couple but would love more. I can’t believe I never thought of your absolutely genius uses! I think my favourite is the reverse ink blended one (your favourite) but I absolutely loved all your makes and alternative ideas. Thanks so much for sharing this and all your inspirational makes 😊👍 xx
I’ve always loved these dies but shied away from them because of the price. You have definitely put a bug in my ear to reconsider. Totally love what you’ve done. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
I get it. My best advice is to really think about which one you'll get the most use out of. Or, you can get a smaller one (like Floral Star or Dazzler) and get the layered look with less cost, and maybe a little less versatility because each layer is only the one piece. Thanks so much for watching!
Great video, Ardyth! This is one of my favorite want-to-buy dies. I love all the different ideas and approaches you shared here. So many great techniques and combinations to try.
Ardyth, I love that you did this video! I've been resistant to spending that kind of money on products I thought had limited uses. I'll have to pick a favorite and give them a go!
As a member of the DT, I have a few, but even before that, I did purchase a couple. They are definitely an investment, but they are high quality and very versatile! Thanks so much for watching, Karen!
Wow, Ardyth, I fell in love with Birch Press, the first time I saw them! But your ideas have lifted them to another level. I love the stained glass window card! BTW how about doing some cover plates for the European market with European sized (metric / A6) plates? I make do with the A2 plates but cutting them up can be - painful ;)
Haha! I get it! I find myself adapting slimline and minislim dies for my cards quite often! Birch Press is an American company, I don't know if they have plans for sizes for other markets. Thanks so much for watching!
When you mentioned that the machine didn't cut through the adhesive sheet, how did you proceed? I would like to try this on my Birch Press Grace layering die but not sure what to expect. Loved all your cards !
I'm not sure I understand the question! lol! I went back and watched and didn't see any acetate. Did I miss it? I think maybe you're referring to the release paper from the adhesive sheet (at 2:22) and and it's no problem if that doesn't cut (in fact, it makes it a little easier to work with). Let me know if I'm still missing something, and I'll try to help! Thanks for watching!
OMG, that is impressive! My favourite is the 3 layered stenciled one. I don't know if I can get that over here in the UK, but I will look. I'd love it for the challenge! Can you tell me, how long does Pixie spray last. I bought some of the Crafter's Companion one, but it was thick and the stickiest glue I've ever seen, but might be because I had it more than a year. Thanks for sharing ❤️
That stenciling technique gives a big wow every time! Pixie Spray stays sticky until you wash it off, and even sometimes after! lol! I think a lot of these things depend on the humidity and temperature of the air, so they don't always work the same for everyone. Thanks for watching!
I hope you WILL do that second video you mentioned you might make because I have a bunch of these dies and, as you say, they're an investment, so I want to get the most from them. Thanks!
I love your cards I’ve told you this several times on that white mat that you were in blending do you put anything over that and does it come off the ink or does it bother you. Sometimes in my older age I think things are bothering me that shouldn’t
LOL! That made me laugh. That white mat I used does retain the 'wetness' of the ink and if I'm not careful it can cause me problems - the thin silicon craft sheets have a similar issue. I also use a pad of recycled newsprint to blend on sometimes, and of course the ink absorbs into that paper and doesn't sit there waiting to jump onto my project in the wrong place. But then I'm throwing paper out. So I guess I would say I have two good solutions without a perfect one. And hey, if something bothers you, it bothers you, regardless of age. If I ever come across a perfect solution, I'll be sure to include it in a video! Thanks so much for watching!

LOL! Glad you were inspired! Thanks so much for watching, Kristine!
Wow that yellow purple and blue is just amazing!!
Thanks so much for watching!
WOW such incredible ideas Ardyth!!! That dimension you created by blending was insane!!! Great video!!! 😘🎨😁
Thanks so much! I stumbled on that technique almost by accident, but it definitely has a wow factor! Thanks for watching!
You are so inspiring and creative. Yes, do more videos on these cover plates dies. I can't decide which card I like the best. It's like picking your favorite child. LOL. Thank you for so much crafty goodness.
You are very sweet! Thanks so much for watching!
This may be my favourite technique/video of yours ever. Using the dies to build colour is brilliant!!
Thanks so much!
Love love love all of these! My favorite is the last one with the rainbow on black...stunning!
That one is probably my second favourite - I always love a bold rainbow popping from a black background! Thanks so much for watching, Karen!
These ideas are beautiful! Love the flower cut out & the rainbow colors on black
Thanks so much for watching!
The last one is my favorite. I'm all about clean, simple, and POW! of rainbow color! Please do more videos with these dies!
I think that one's my second favourite, I definitely agree about the POW! Thanks for watching (and the next video is already in planning! lol! Thanks, Kris!
WOW!! Information overload. Brilliant ideas. Will need to rewatch (again and again) to absorb all the ideas. Thank you so much for sharing
LOL! I get it! Maybe choose your favourite and go from there! Thanks so much for watching!
PLEASE keep making videos with the layering die sets!
The next one's in the planning stage already! Thanks so much for watching!
That layered ink blending is amazing. So many beautiful looks from this die set.
Thanks so much for watching!

Wonderful video, Ardyth! I particularly liked the rainbow layering.
Thank you so much, Crystal!

Very creative & helpful. Using the die cuts as a stencil to create a card was my favourite & you get to use the stencil too. Twofer!
My favourite too! Thanks so much for watching!

So much inspiration! I have the Epiphany die set and it one my favorites, especially with either a layer or background of holographic cardstock.
Yes, specialty cardstock makes these layered dies look amazing! Thanks so much for watching!
