Happy new yr mate its a very good machine it's power to weight is very good only problem i found with the tank on the front dirt can go into and clog it
@@jasongardener3425 yip I'd mine 12 months and I'd to strip the carb and clean the thank all it takes is to be in a rush and the dirt just goes in pity cause overall it's a great machine to cut
Looks like a great bit of kit. What would be the thickest this would cut through. I'm looking to tidy up a beech hedge. It's not too bad but there's the odd stray that can be a few centimetres thick. Do you think it would manage the odd one of these without damaging the cutter?
Looks like a nice machine. I think the weight is good with just 4.5kg. Powerwise most premium brands and models are pretty much identical. Anyway youre always going to be ok when buying a stihl hedgetrimmer, they have one of the best blades on the market imo. If youre planning to use the machine long periods of time vibration levels are just as important to look after though. Antivibration makes the price go up.
Thanks mate, I think your right mate, must machine at this level are very similar, after a lot of research hs56 come a tad ahead of all the brands, blades are 👌. Happy New year mate 👍👍👍
I've always liked using two types of hedge cutters. Am sure this unit won't let you down at all. But am sure you could make any hedge look good with any tool with your skills.
Happy New year 👍. If I had some pro battery tools already, I probably would have, but because it not going to be used daily, it wouldn't of be cost effective. Cheers mate 👍👍
you don't need me to tell you that's a great machine Jason & as you know will pay you back tenfold. I have used the little domestic hs 45 over the years for shrub work mainly for its lightweight but i now realise its just not powerful enough for heavy use so next one will be the hs 65. atb for the coming year mate.
Hs45 great machine, it's track record speaks for its self, but you would love the 56 mate, I was surprised its a very capable machine and how well I took to it, no regrets Happy New year goerdie, keep warm on them walks 👍👍
Happy New Year Jason.. Santa's really pushed that boat out this year. The only surprise is it's not a lightsaber with your Jedi like hedge cutting skills.. look forward to seeing it in action Obi-Wan 😀
The hs56 is a really good machine, my personal opinion, its far better than the 45, iv not used my hs56 for some time as using battery mostly on hedges, but will always keep the 56 as a backup. 👍
According to the catalogue, not a pro model. But if it does the job who cares. I personally use an HS81R, Fantastic machine, it's bit of beast but cuts through almost anything. I also have a 45, great little machine but vibrates like a bastard! Recently bought a Husky 122HD60 & it's excellent for smaller jobs. My Husky 535LK pro combi is the nuts, well balanced and a shed load of power! Have thought about the 56 as an interim unit.
Happy New Year I don't like hedge cutters like that because I'm scared of using them after I've seen someone that's had 3 of their fingers chopped off because they accidentally put the hand into it
If you feel uncomfortable using one, then you have made the right decision mate, where I worked many many years ago, my work mate cut 2 fingers off, not a pleasant site, but always made me more careful. 👍👍
Nice machines the stihl hedge cutters are, I still need to get a new one.
👍👍
Nicely demonstrated! Happy New Year and have a good forthcoming season!
Thanks Tony, here's to a great year ahead for you mate 🍻
Looking forward to the first video of it being used. All the best for 2020.
Thanks mate, will try for January mate 🎥,
Happy new garry 👍

Happy New year's mate, great machine, but yes your right I think, got to wipe around filler first.

Nice bit of kit Jason✂️🍃👌🏼
Thanks martyn 👍, really nice seeing you mate 👍👍
Surprised you didn't jump to battery. Great review and happy new year
Battery one day, but not cost effective at moment, as this machine won't be used daily, thanks mate, hope all good your way 👍👍
It's definitely easier on you

It's nice to change around now and then, work in different positions.
Happy New years mate 👍👍👍👍
Looks great although I thought you gonna try some Lithium equipment in the future. Happy new year mate.

@@jasongardener3425 Yeah it is not worth it until you completely switch to battery powered equipment.

Good choice Jason.
Thanks mate 👍
Good review mate, how you getting on with the 56? Im thinking of getting 1 was running a 45 but the vibration and noise was terrible. Cheers

How do you keep the blades clean?
Lanolin spray before during and after use
I mainly use maintenance spray, but as said, before, during and after use,
👍👍👍

It's not your fingers you've got to worry about dropping off
