first 2 minutes solved my issue for me. I didn't have a grid drawn up. I presumed that if there was no grid it was detecting everything, it appears to be the opposite. Thank you very for your video!!
I see with Ring cameras on the app you can 'arm' the motion detection at night before you go to bed. I would want alerting at night, but also sometimes in the day when my security gate is closed - I'd want to know if someone is jumping over the wall... So i guess my needs conflict.
But this will work only of the camera is connected to an NVR/DVR? I have setup a camera directly to the HikConnect using port fordwarding from the router, and there is no such settings for push notifications. If the camera is connected to the iVMS 4200, the notifications in the PC applications are triggered, but on the Phone app, I am not receiving anything.
update the firmware in the camera and also make sure your phone is set up to allow notifications from Hik-Connect in your settings. You do not need an NVR or DVR. Also, why are you still port forwarding? Connect the camera to Hik-Connect using P2P and serial number!
When i go to hik-connect/ three dots/ settings it shows me device information page not (5:51) the settings page like in your video? Can you help me out.

Good video! If you have hik app on the primary phone and the device is shared to another user if the primary user doesn’t have the alerts turned on will the shared user be able to get alerts?
When I select the camera and click the 3 dots than settings, it gives me NVR device information, not the selected camera and there's no Notification option
Same for me… I have been struggling for months to find a way to enable the iPhone notifications, everything looks good in my configuration, but the screens I see on videos (like this one) are not the same : I do not have the notification option in my app…
You may need to go into your phone settings and enable notifications for the Hik-Connect App. They are making you do that now. Both I phone and Android.

You can do the same thing with Hikvision and Dahua

Is that a website or a specific software for your pc🤔 How did you get the pc page on which you are doing the settings adjustment?
The browser was logged in to the IPv4 address of the Hikvision DVR.
Can you do the configuration on the hik-connect app instead doing it on the computer?

They would have to set up alerts to use the push notification alerts,

Are your running the Hik-Connect phone app or IVMS phone app? This will only work with the latest version of Hik-Connect.
